  Jill was a great host, and her cottage is precious. We had a great stay with no fuss. I would definitely recommend Jill & her cottage, and would certainly be happy to stay there again. And of course, you can't beat walking distance to Saxon Pub for live music!

  The bedroom is gorgeous and overlooks into their stunning backyard making you feel as if you're at getaway retreat. Jill was very sweet and communicative. We didn't feel neither burdened nor bugged by hosts as you can feel at some B&Bs, but felt like we had our own privacy which was nice. Great place to stay and convenient access to highways for visiting downtown, townlake and UT. Will stay there again in future visits to Austin.

  Lovely home in a quiet part of SW Austin. Very comfortable & private. Jill is a wonderful host & made our stay special. A fine alternative to a sterile motel stay. The park-like yard leading to a real park was a treat & make this place a great value.

  lovely peaceful oasis nestled within the extended urban area. It was fun to hear the doves in the morning and enjoy the breakfast cereal and fresh fruit awaiting us when we arrived. Anyone looking for a relaxed space and cosy backyard as an alternate to a traditional hotel room ought to consider this quiet alternative.

  Jill has a very peaceful home and the room we stayed in was clean, spacious, relaxing and private. This is a great choice if you're going to Austin.

  My room was very spacious, comfortable and peaceful. Jill had fruit, snacks, coffee and tea waiting for me when I arrived. She even asked what kind of milk I liked and had a carton of it in the mini-fridge in the room. The bath products were organic and smelled great. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend Jill and her space to others. It has a nice vibe.

  As described, the room was very spacious and comfortable. It was especially nice to have sliding glass doors onto the charming back yard, with my own little patio. Beyond the gate one could step onto a trail that led into a wonderful forest with meandering footpaths. The house itself, the occupants, were all wonderful; an oasis in what appears to be an older housing development on the outskirts of Austin.   Jill's place was very cute and I especially enjoy the trails in the back of the house, which were just steps away. Walking/ jogging through the trails is good way to start your day. Jill was friendly and made me feel welcome. I highly recommend the place.

  It was such a lovely stay. The room was very spacious, very comfortable king bed, awesome work desk (which i don't think is in the pictures) and beautiful backyard which is more like peaceful sanctuary, running waterfall, etc. The property is butted up against a beautiful 100 acre preserve which has wonderful walking trails. The host Jill is great, and is an amazing healthy cook...i was lucky one morning and had some of her chia seed, oatmeal, raisin, apple walnut breakfast. ... More »
