  Abbiamo passato un piacevole soggiorno in uno spazio organizzato in modo intelligente visto che non è molto grande. La zona è molto tranquilla e il fatto che non sia nel cuore della città rende tutto più affascinante perchè si scoprono altri angoli di San Francisco. Good!!!

  We have 2 young children with us and had a car, so we drove everywhere. If you are traveling without a car, the location is still quite good as it's a block from grocery store, bus and coffee shops. The studio is in the back of the building and the entrance is basically like going through a dungeon, as a small section of it is dark and is connected to the hallway where the garbage and recycle containers are stored (it is not smelly or anything...it's just not your typical entrance to a...   Joe was a great host. Apt was clean and spacious. 20 cab ride to finance district. Great coffee and breakast around the block.

  We enjoyed our stay here very much. Joe was incredibly warm and friendly, and made us feel comfortable to contact him if we needed anything. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and very clean. The studio is simple, but more than sufficient for a nice stay. The entrance and hallway for the building is a bit raw, but the studio is lovely.

  We got what we wanted--a sunny spacious place very close to Golden Gate Park. The apartment is large and clean and there is plenty of hot water for showering. Lots of fun stuff on Geary also. Loved the Chinese market at the end of the block. On the minus side, towels were very small and thin and there were not very many dishes (no dinner plates).   Overall a positive and enjoyable experience. Quiet, spacious, and ample accommodation, although the unusual internal geography took some time to get used to ! The heating responded rapidly when needed in an unseasonably cool spell, and hot water was plentiful. . We were able to find most things we needed in the kitchen although sometimes scattered rather unsystematically around several drawers and cupboards, and had plenty of space to entertain the family we had come to visit .   The place is clean and neat and for the price you should not expect too much. The cable box on the TV would really only get one channel. The TV screen was shrinking like the tube was ready to go. Toilet flushes very slowly. Heat pretty much comes out only from the bathroom vent central heating duct. Look for the price your paying don't expect the Ritz carlton but really some of this would not take much to correct. It is clean neat and fairly quiet and can sleep 4 easily.

  If you want an undisturbed, convenient, no frills home base, this is fine. We spent little time in the apartment so the ambience was of little importance. We were at no time interrupted by Joe. On the whole, it was a pleasant enough experience.

  We reserved Joe's apartment for four nights in July 2010. In our email exchanges, Joe was indeed easy going. Perhaps, too easy going as the apartment was a disaster. From the moment we opened the door into the front hallway continuing onto the apartment, we were overwhelmed by a bad odor and generally substandard conditions (dirty carpet, broken fire alarm on a hallway table, unfinished plastering on the ceiling, etc.).
