Representing Swedish, Irish, and German ancestry (with a likely sprinkle of “other” added to the mix as well), I am a vintage “all-European mestizo.” In other words, I’m an American with an ethnicity typical of Minnesota (where I’m from), a state of brutal heat, bitter cold, and everything in between. I’m part of Generation “XY Cusp,” or the “MTV” Generation — fancy names for the people born in the years straddling the indefinite border between Generations X and Y — and I enjoy the notion that, by default, I serve as a connector between people of different generations.
I’ve done IT, business, education, travel, and more … but now I’m “doing my different” on Kindred Road (website hidden) . I like working hard on interesting projects I care about, especially when I have the freedom to choose my own work hours and location. Not coincidentally, I’m experimenting with online entrepreneurship and its ability to change both my life and the lives of those around me in positive ways. I want to make the world a better place while supporting myself, meeting new people, and having some fun in the process.
My shoes are on, and I’m out the door and running (yes, I’m a runner too). Now it’s just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other and enjoying the scenery along the way….
