We enjoy backpacking in the Sierra Mountains, Death Valley, urban and wilderness hikes, reading, biking, Russian literature and poetry, the Beatles, skiing, biking, you get the idea, we're into the usual spectrum of human enjoyment.

Warning, the following is a shameless promotion of my husband. Viktor read Moby Dick, took him half a year, and as much as he wished the narrator had died after the first chapter, he finished it.

Gentle and peaceful spirits, Viktor and Andrea left wonderful energy in the Art Studio and were fabulous guests. We enjoyed watching them explore San Diego on foot, sitting outside to rest, and so kind to each other and us. We are so grateful to have intelligent, sensitive and respectful guests! Come back!

Viktor and Andea are the perfect guests - both such interesting people. But, more than that, they were so helpful, and fit right in my house, Andrea doing dishes (!) and Viktor fixing my computer so that future guests will be able to have wifi. Loved having them.

They made sure to keep us informed of their schedule, calling us when getting closer to the house, letting us know their wake-up time and check-out departure. They arrived as planned with a big smile and a gift. They made themselves at home as we asked them to do, making everything more comfortable. Conversations were very interesting and funny at time. Would love to have them again.

Viktor and Andrea were excellent guests—my longest hosting so far, but it could have gone on longer. As others have said, they are a super-quiet and polite couple, with great organization and communication about the entire visit. When we did overlap, it was nice to have a meal or chat about statistics.
