  Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Brooklyn (Greenpoint), l'endroit est situé à proximité de tous les services, quartiers et cafés/bars forts sympathiques!   Great place, great location if you want to experience the local life in Brooklyn. Very nice and live neighborhood. Everything was ready for us at the time we got there and Lou made sure we had everything we could need during our stay. Overall we had a great time there and recommend it for adventurous types. We even had two super friendly temporary pets!

  We found the location to be great! The subway is only a few blocks away and you can get to Manhattan in 20-30 minutes depending on the trains. Lou was nice. There are three rooms. Lou rents out two of them. There were two nice gentlemen staying in the other room. The downside was that there were cats.   I had a great time at Lou's place. The bed was comfy, the area was super quiet at night and I had no problems with the G train even around 2am in the morning. There are plenty of small independent cafes and eateries around the area, and it didn't take long to get into Manhattan on the subway. I didn't see Lou a whole lot as I was mostly out and about, but he was friendly, accommodating and generally came across as a cool guy. Wish I'd spent a little longer there!

  Lou's place is very flexible. I had one big room for my self. It was very casual and easy. Easy to travel around and places to eat and wash is close. Of course, I will stay here again.

  Lou was really nice. The flat is amazing and the location is great. There are lots of nice restaurants and shops around and we could walk to MoMA P.S.1. The room was very spacious and the other guests were very friendly and helpful.

  We stayed in Lou´s apartment for eight days. In the end we had a different room than we booked but it turned out to be a better option as it was a little bigger. The apartment has a very good location, I personally liked the area full of little cafes, bars and food stores.Also It´s very close to subway.Other than that, the apartment has a good energy and its a fun place to stay. Lou is a really nice guy, always willing to help if there is a problem.I would love to come back again.

  Me and my friend had a wonderful stay in Lou's gorgeous flat. Lou was very friendly, helped us out and supplied us with everything needed. Check in and check out was flexible and easy. The room itself was very clean, spacious and beautiful. Extra + for the two cute cats who made us company while at home!! Highly recommended.

  We had a really good time at Lou's place. We felt like at home immediately. The apartment is comfortable and living in Lou's appartement is uncomplicated.   The location is great, not far from the subway and easy to get everywhere. The house has all you need, a good kitchen, great projector for watching an endless number of movies off the internet. Lou was very relaxed and always up for a party.

  Lou is RAD!!!!! Not only is the Box Factory comfortable, cool and spacious, but his easy going demeanor and humor make his place really fun time. The environment is communal but homey and private at the same time.   We stayed at Lou's place last June-July and it was a very nice experience. The neighborhood is quiet and with a lot of restaurants, bars... Connection to manhattan is good using subway G line. Nassau and Bedford Ave. in Williamsburg are also nice places to hang out, you can take the subway or a bus to reach them, but if you like walking, you can also do it (less than 30 minutes to Bedford).   the day we arrived Lou left the keys at the corner's laundromat so we could pick them up. The loft is big, hot and kind of messy. Cleanliness could be better. Towels were ok but sheets were not recently washed. A week after we arrived Lou did some cleaning and the place started to become fine. greenpoint area is great, nice restaurants, bars, stores and the loft is near the subway station as it is described by the owner. the box factory sky room is a little hot, despite it has a fan....   Box Factory Sky Room is a great place to stay. Lou couldn't met me when I first got to his place because he was working, so he just left the keys with someone I could pick them up from. After I got the keys, I called him, and he walked me through the apartment to my room on his phone. I wasn't around a lot because I was doing a craft show in McCarren Park, but when I was around it was quite and clean. Didn't meet Lou until I was leaving, he seems really nice.

  I didn't have the chance to see Lou or the flat as I couldn't go to NYC at the last minute, but my friends went, and they told me Lou was a great host, a very nice and laid-back person. The room (Lite) was good but apparently better suited for 2 than 3 people. I've seen some pictures and it's better now, than on the airbnb pics, it has a table with 2 chairs, a nice mirror, and some place to hang your clothes.   Lou' s loft in Greenpoint is a wonderful place to be. Lou is cool, easy- going person. We would strongly recomend this place for young, adventurous people, who are searching for new experiences. We hope to be back there one day!

  The box factory was fantastic. The loft was massive with a brilliant living space (and very comfy sofas) and the sky room slept 4 easily. Was far nicer that staying in a hostel. Lou seemed lovely though it was a shame he was away for most of our stay. I would defiantly recommended the box factory to others.

  For sure the best place to live in I've seen in Brooklyn in one month of staying. Its big and confortable, and you have everything you need. Lot of space, a huge living room, great kitchen and lot of other small things that makes the place special. And Lou, he makes you feel like it's your home.

  Awesome place to stay. Lou is a great host, keeps things in order. He lives in a great area of Brooklyn, tons of good food and spots to hang. Also close to the subway. He had clean towels for us and clean sheets and a wealth of information on how to navigate in NYC. Hope to see him and/or stay there again.

  Finding a good place to stay makes a vacation all the better - Lou's loft was ideal. Huge space, located in a very convenient part of town. Lou himself very laid back and entertaining. Will return.

  Lou's place was fantastic and he was a great host. The apartment was a true gem and the room was very spacious and comfortable. It's on a quiet street, so you can sleep in with no outside noise. Take Lou's advice about places to eat in the neighborhood--he knows what he's talking about. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Brooklyn.

  Recently stayed at Lou's place and it was a great experience. He is extremely helpful and friendly and gave me directions to various restaurants in the area. The location is right around the corner from the G subways stop, two stops away from Williamsburg, but if you're returning home from Manhattan expect a $20 cab ride.   A really great space in Brooklyn, super close to the subway... I even showed up on the day of a snowstorm with my car and was able to park right in front of Lou's place without having to move it for 2 days! The room is comfortable and private and Lou is great!

  Lou is exactly as easygoing and helpful as he is being described in the other reviews. Our plane to NYC had a major delay due to the snow in Europe and at the end we got there in the middle of the night: he was there and available and extremely friendly, and our room was pre-heated.   Lou's the man. Easygoing, laidback, considerate. I stayed in his place with a friend for a total of two months and it's been nothing but fun! We really got to know our way around Greenpoint, which is a really nice neighborhood that has everything you might need right around the corner and the subway-connection to Manhattan is fast and convenient.   It was great!!!we stayed at Lou's flat for a month and after few days I started to feel like home. I know it sounds pathetic, or like another positive review, but its just like that.   We stayed with Lou in the box factory for 6 weeks over summer, and had a great time. He's an incredibly nice guy, easy-going and funny as hell, a total pleasure to be around. He's done incredible work on the loft, it's a beautiful space; big, airy and spacious, which is an absolute rarity in NY. The kitchen is great to cook in and the wireless was fast and reliable.   Great host, great apartment, great area. Lou is really chilled-out and welcoming, and made us feel at home. We didn't see that much of each other as it was the fourth of July weekend, and we were coming and going a lot. The apartment is big and comfortable.   Lou is a helpful and welcoming host, and his clean, attractive loft is a pleasure to visit. My room was large and private, with a desk, sofa and plenty of room to hang and store my stuff. Neighborhood is friendly, homey and fun. Three-minute walk to the subway had me in Williamsburg in 10 minutes, and on the west side of Manhattan in less than 25. Recommended for a delightful Brooklyn experience.

  Lou was a great host. We stayed for two weeks and he helped us with many things. The place is gorgeous, we felt free there. Greenpoint Av subway station is in five minutes walk, lots of fine cheap restaurants (check the steak at Habitat!), a supermarket and nice young people around there. If we will come again to NYC we would definitely stay at Lou's, and I'm for sure to recommend the place to our friends.

  Lou is a very friendly and helpful landlord. He and the other two who live there were out so much it was almost like having the whole place to myself. The bedroom is comfortable and bright. It's just a few minutes walk from the Greenpoint Ave. station of the G subway. Lots of shops are nearby.
