My partner and I are both elementary school teachers, which gives us the opportunity to travel fairly extensively.
During our stays at B+Bs, the thought often wanders to owning one of our own. That might be a good retirement dream, but for now, we can open our home to others.
We've owned our place for nine years. The home looks like a typical suburban house from the front, but a walk through the back reveals what convinced us to buy it; it's a bit of an urban oasis from a hectic life.
Our city's motto is, "Climate Best by Government Test". Although it might not be the most romantic sounding motto, it gives an idea of why we decided to stay in the area after moving from the East Coast. Mild, sunny days greet us for most of the year.
