  This was a cute little postage stamp sized apartment that was perfect for a few days in the city. I have a fetish about places being clean that we stay in and Lisa's apt. was perfect..   The apartment was incredibly cute, clean, and provided an excellent home away from home in NYC. Although located right in the heart of the East Village, the apartment itself was very quiet.   Our stay at Lisa's place was amazing! From check in to check out, everything went smoothly. Her place was cozy and had everything we needed, from appliances to toiletries. The location was great as their were many restaurants and grocery stores. It was located close to shopping areas such as broadway, and also close to Chinatown. Hitching a cab on the corner of 7th street and 2nd avenue was a breeze. Overall, Lisa's place is great and definitely would stay again at her apartment.

  Great apartment, we had a perfect stay! Pros : - Location! 5 min from the subway and really close to restaurants, Soho, Geenwich village... - Size was great for a couple with a table, sofa etc... Cons : - No view, as it's a basement apartment, there is light trough the windows but the curtains have to stay closed. - No toaster or stove Overall it was a really nice place and would recommend it.

The apartment was clean and tidy, with plenty of room to move around, definitely a place for a couple and not much more.   Great place, great location. Two bedrooms in New York is just great, and we really liked the neighborhood. Busy, but not too busy. It's between three bars, but we didn't hear any noise at all.   Lisa was great, and her apartment was perfectly situated to enjoy the east village. Funky boutiques. Subways, cafes, restaurants and peaceful parks all only steps away. It was the perfect retreat to get away from the hustle after a hard days sightseeing. The apartment was well stocked, and had super comfy beds and sofa. Lisa even provided many useful kitchen items like olive oil, and also toiletries and very detailed recommendations for food etc. Overall I'd recommend.

  This place is nothing less than AWESOME. Perfect location to get that hip, cool, urban feel. Everything we needed was no more than a few blocks away. We had other friends that stayed at a different hotel/district and boy were they bummed that they weren't in the thick of it all! This place is happening. I didn't meet my hostess in person but she was very communicative for key pickup and had an info sheet in the apt with helpful information.   Lisa's apartment worked great for us. It was clean and comfortable. Even though it is a basement apartment it had a lot of windows and was bright enough. The location is great if you plan on doing some shopping at some unique stores or if you like to eat at some fun spots. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I couldn't get the key to work. But Lisa was available to help out within a few minutes.

  A great location but maybe because we usually stay in bigger places we found it a bit small. Lots of nice touches to make the place pleasant.   Lisa was an excellent host -- stocked the fridge with snacks of my choosing and met me right on time. The apartment is in an amazing location, in the heart of the East Village. The apt was very clean and comfortable. Lisa -- it would be great if you had a small table w/ a chair, as the couch is the only place to sit. But that's my only complaint! Best place I've stayed on Airbnb so far.

  Awesome place. Lisa is a lovely woman. I would recommend staying with her! She opens her home and makes sure you have a good time as she is full of suggestions and tips on NYC. The place was very clean and comfortable. Great location, close to subway and lots to do in the neighbourhood.

  This place was awesome. Perfect location, and the place is private and quiet. The place was clean and nicely furnished. Lisa was extremely accomodating. For example, she brought over an ironing board in 5 minutes after I asked if she had one.

  Lisa was a perfect host, even leaving some breakfast things for us in the fridge. The place was brand new and she was still furnishing it when we were there. But it was very clean and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very quiet and the East Village location is terrific. We would definitely stay here again!

The room is lovely, and I slept the soundest since being in the US. Their home is clean and comfortable, although small. It is very centrally located. I would stay again whenever I'm back in the US.

  Just back and missing Lisa's and Chris's hospitality already. They are both very accommodating and thoughtful. I felt comfortable in the apartment and slept quite well on the futon bed. The apartment was cozy and clean, and the location easy to navigate from. The subway stops are quite close by.

  My stay, whilst only brief, was made an absolute pleasure by both Lisa and Chris. The ground floor apartment conveniently located in East Village Manhattan is clean, well fitted and oozes of that home feeling all us travellers miss.   Lisa and Chris'appartment is very well located, and quiet, and welcoming. No big flights of stairs, which is a bonus. Chris was there ( Lisa was away) and he was a pleasure to be around. I felt at home. The space might not be quite enough for two people with luggage, but as an independent woman traveller I felt very much at ease.
