We stayed at Amy's place for 6 nights and had an excellent time! The apartment is very comfortable and homely, and is located in the friendly Lincoln Park area which is an easy train trip from downtown. All the facilities were superb and we enjoyed spending time with Amy's friendly cat. Would definitely stay again!
I really enjoyed staying at Amy's home. It was very cute and clean. The cat is very friendly and was not trouble even though she was a bit under the weather the last day. The apt. is located on a quiet residential, tree-lined street and one can walk to the Lincoln Square village shops and restaurants within 5 minutes as well as the Damen El station. The apt. is very quiet...it felt very safe and cozy there. I had a couple questions during my stay and Amy answered my calls right away and was... More »
Amy's was great - her many books alone are enough to justify a stay. She was also very easy to get in touch with and responsive to any need. The apartment is in a cool and safe-feeling neighborhood with easy access to good coffee and the train. Look out for the sweetest cat ever. Seriously, did it even have teeth and claws?
Amy's apartment was very cozy and had all the comforts of home. She's a generous hostess and has an adorable cat. Her apartment is right in the middle of some awesome eating, we found out. Also, her neighborhood is VERY safe and seemed family-oriented (lots of nice cars and parents pushing strollers)-- I felt safe leaving my car parked over night all weekend. We're so appreciative!
Great place-close to CTA for downtown and airport. Nice area...cinema, folk music school with great local and international artists and good bars/cafes etc. A little of a distance from Downtown but still great. Thanks Amy and wonderful cat...wish I could have been in Chicago longer and stayed longer. Thanks heaps, maybe see you again.
The apartment is in a great area...minutes walk to the train into downtown. A cute little place on the top floor, it is full of character and playful quirkiness. Unfortunately, when we got there, the smell of the cat littler box was the first thing we noticed. Then, the cat. Very sweet, very furry...waaaay too desperate for attention! The kitty was so vocal and forceful when trying to get attention, we were hardly able to relax, watch a movie, or even hold a conversation! We spent more time... More »
I stayed here for 2 nights during a cross country adventure. The apartment was actually much cuter than the pictures let on along with the building and neighborhood. Blocks from the train, and a nice neighborhood to relax in after a long day of sights.
Amy's really got a great price. The apartment is just the right size, is eclectic and fun - and is in a very live location. It's located in a good neighborhood with everything that you would need (food, stores, transportation options) within a couple of blocks. Amy went above and beyond, including assisting with a pickup from downtown AND giving us some local spots to check out.
And of course, a wonderful cat.
It was great having Amy and William as guests for their short stay in Philadelphia. They're independent, quiet, considerate, and easy to be around. They seemed at home right away in the city, felt like Philadelphians to us, and it was like having family over.
