Nick's place is clean, comfortable and in a fantastic neighbourhood that is easily accessible by a wide variety of public transit options (elevated trains, buses, lots of taxis). Nick's place is located in a good location to explore Chicago. It is a short walk to the train and other transportation. Wicker Park, itself, provided great restaurants, bars, and shops. Also, Nick is an accommodating host, especially if you need to "check-in" outside the specified time on his page. The bedroom was small, but the bed was comfortable. However, the size of the bedroom did not bother us because we spent most of the time away from the place to enjoy what Chicago had to offer.

We were in town for the marathon and mostly needed a place to sleep close to the marathon start (Grant Park) that wouldn't cost a million dollars. Nick's place was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Nick's apartment. Nick is an absolutely easy going and a non-intrusive host.. Nick takes care of the guests pretty well with his thoughtful gestures and arrangements.. I liked the location for its calmness and proximity to many eating places.. And if you don't have a car like me, you can get by very easily exploring the city and its many cultural places, as the apartment is close by to the metro.. What more could one ask for!

I stayed at Nick's apartment for one night on super-short notice (about 4 hours). Everything went well; Nick was punctual and polite, and very friendly. The apartment was spacious and clean, and a very short walk to a cool area with lots of good restaurants (try Lily's Q, just down the street for some killer BBQ). Nick was very flexible about what time we arrived. We showed up late, his place was 20 minutes from downtown by public transportation (very easy to get to!) The room was comfortable and private, the neighborhood was very cool with lots of shops and bars and the best brunch ever at Handlebar (10 min walk). Perfect just for the proximity to Wicker Park! Plenty of parking, though you could probably walk to everything in the neighborhood if you wanted and if the weather was nice enough Fit a family of 3 without difficulty too, the sofa is comfortable and in short Nick's place was a perfect introduction to Chicago.

I was able to check in at a time when Nick would not be available and was left detailed instruction with photos on how to access the lock box and apartment. Nick was easily accessible via cell phone when I had trouble access with wireless and the checking and check out procedure went smoothly. Great location for a Chicago stay.

Also, he lives in the ideal area of Chicago, in the great Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhood, which is also equidistant to Logan Square and to downtown Chicago, and his place is easily accessible by transit (el train and bus).

Great Location (close to Blue Line), great apartment, great host! I would definitely recommend staying here to family and friends. Nick is super laid back and very helpful. He gave us great tips on how to save money using the CTA card and told us to text him if we needed help with anything in the city. We had a full weekend planned so we were really only in the apartment to sleep, but it was a nice comfy bed. Would definitely stay here again if I ever go back to Chicago.

What a deal! A simple room,no frills, for budget travelers! Nick was very friendly and lived in a cute 2b/1b with a lot of character. a little farther from the train but the streets was enjoyable to walk. plenty of good food and bars around the area. i took the bus pretty often too. Nick was very easy to talk to and even left bananas out for us =) Room was also pretty warm and temperature was well regulated for the cold. Bed was also comfortable!

Wicker Park (the neighborhood Nick lives in) is eclectic and full of interesting shops and restaurants, and lively enough that I felt safe walking alone there. I'd highly recommend staying here. Fantastic guy, fantastic place. Really personable, and enjoyed hanging out with him when he was home, but felt comfortable enough to do our own thing. The room was great - everything we needed. You can't beat the price for what you get at this place. The room and bed are small but neat, and the location is great! You are a short walk to tons of restaurants and shops and also the el train, which will take you anywhere in the city. Nick was a gracious host -- incredibly laid back and welcoming. I felt at home when I stayed in Nick's Wicker Park Delectation, a clean, quiet, room in a second floor of an old loft in a nice residential neighbourhood. Great host and I seriously doubt there is a better value for money deal anywhere else on AirBnB. Easy to get to from O'Hare and just a ten minute walk to Nick's place from Damen. Downtown/The Loop is also accessible, approx 15 mins by blue line from Damen. nick was great. super nice and easy to get along with. the futon was a tiny bit hard but can't complain considering how awesome the location of the apartment is and how inexpensive his rates are. also bring your own sugar and milk, he drinks his coffee black! :)

Nick is very kind, accommodating, and laid-back. His apartment is clean and secure in a great neighbourhood. There's lots to do and see around his place and the blue line stop is a 10-minute walk during which you can enjoy the architecture and gardens of the homes along the way. It's a family-oriented neighbourhood with lots of groovy parents and cute dogs! Nick is very comfortable to be around--he provided a perfect balance of friendliness and privacy.
