  Surrounding is not what you expect, but Stefan was the best host I've ever had! He even cooked a complete Thanksgiving dinner for us. Recommend this place to stay and in 15 minutes you're in Manhattan.

  Great room, easily slept 3 of us, comfy bunk beds, tv with remote (hehe), very clean apartment, no problem with bugs. Full access to a large kitchen, pots, pans, fridge, toaster, coffee maker etc. and decent shower & bathroom.   hey. first of all stefan is a great host who is taking care of everything that might come up. he provides you with all kinds of information aswell. although guests are sharing the bathroom and kitchen with him it's not disturbing or annoying at all. you will find every necessary supply close by in the area and travelling to manhattan only takes about 15 min using the L train. to us the neighbourhood looked kind of sketchy first but it actually really isn't. we had absolutely no problems...   4 young experienced travelers on a budget having a great time. All the stories about Stefan are true. He is an outgoing guy who I'd trust wholeheartedly. Stefan has great information for all types of travelers. IMO, the location will suit those experienced more so than "dreamy" folk who may have higher expectations.   Stefan is a very gregarious and affable fellow who does the utmost to make you feel welcome. He is super knowledgable about the area and new York in general. The flat is in a very dynamic part of town lots of excellent hispanic restaurants and a generous smattering of hipster bars and restaurants.   Wonderful stay! Stefan is SO nice and caring. He will give you good advice about the neighborhood and Manhattan. And if you are lucky enough that he happens to cook during your stay, you will enjoy his delicious meals ;-) He likes to receive guests, and it shows! At the same time he is respectful of your privacy. The perfect balance! The place is super comfortable and clean, nicely decorated, and very conveniently located near the L subway line. Go for it!

  Awesome stay, great host, super cool location! Stefan was the best host you could imagine. He was helpful, knowledgeable of the area and very cool to hang out with.   I visited a friend in New York and because I couldn't stay at his place, I found Stefan's b&b close to my friends place. I also can´t recommend Stefan highly enough. It was my first booking through airbnb and hopefully the next time everything runs as smooth. Stefan is a wonderful host. He knows everything around, he knows good restaurants and bars.   I've stayed at AirBnB places before, but Stefan stepped it up to a whole new level. I can't recommend him highly enough. I had a last minute transfer to NYC for three months for work, and Stefan was extremely accommodating, as well as flexible with some last minute schedule changes near the end of my stay.   Three of my friends and I stayed at Stefan's place for five nights. It was incredibly affordable. The bedroom/living room area is very cozy and warm. Stefan is a walking encyclopedia of NYC attractions - both touristy and obscure. He was very attentive to our needs. Overall, Stefan was a great host and we enjoyed getting to know him.

  Stefan is very easy to deal with. He is friendly and very quick in answering any query or message. The apartment is clean and near the subway. And the bed linens were newly washed.   First of all, Stefan is a great Human Being ! Yes !! Going to his comodo is not only finding a cheap and convenient place to stay when in NYC (wich is definitely true) but meeting a nice guy, open hearted, generous and very hepful, especially for women travelling alone like myself.   We had a really nice time at Stefan's place, we stayed there for 12 days and we really enjoyed our New-York trip. Over all, Stefan is really gentle and he likes to share with us and advices us about what to do there, even if there yet a lot of things to do in NYC.   Hi hello together. Stefan was a great host and the charge on this apartment is really cheap. My three sons and I stayed with him for 5 days while visiting NYC. I would say if you wanna stay at Comodo with four adults you must be very friendly to another because the flat is a little bit smaller than expected and Stefan is using the bathroom sometimes too.   If you are looking for an affordable place to stay in NY, your search is over! You found it! The place has a good size for a couple, if you're on your own is even better! Stefan has the talent to be the host, is patient and helpful, and very organized ... you really feel at home with him.   I stayed at Stefan's for two weeks together with two friends of mine and we really had a great time sharing the flat with Stefan. He is a considerately and very friendly person, who worked much but also had time to tell us where to find nice places. It is a relaxed, warm and cozy place to stay! And the area is very charming as well. Next time in NY, we'll definitly stay at his place again!

  I had a great time at Stefans apartment. great location, perfect distance from subway, no trouble or difficulties in or around the area. As for the place itself, i loved it, very new york, it was cosy and ideal, comfy bed, spacious, warm and always hot water which is always essential right =] i will definitely stay here again.

  My boyfriend and I stayed at Stefan's place for a little over a week. His place was always warm and cosy, something to consider if you're visiting in the winter. The room itself was in an altogether different apartment -- it is connected to the kitchen but separated with thick curtains. So, it's as if you have your own apartment with shared kitchen and bathroom! Also, the location is minutes away from the subway, that was definitely a bonus. Good value all around!
