I had an excellent experience. This was my first time using Airbnb and Sol was the perfect host...warm accommodating and inviting. I felt right at home.
Her apartment was clean and comfortable. She had a wonderful assortment of Tea and a tray with some breakfast bars, cereal and fresh fruits.
Her apartment is on the bus line and a very short distance from the Metro which I used to get to and from the Restoring Honor event. I got in and out of DC for the event with great ease.

Sol's cozy apartment is worth staying if you are stopping by DC. It is in Alexandria Old City where you can find many cool shops/restaurants/bars. Sol is very kind, helpful and hospitable to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I would strongly recommend her and her place to any traveler to have a good experience..

This is a very nice host who gave me a very comfortable stay at her house. My husband and I got a feeling at home when we stayed here. I would recommend my friends to come here if they need a place near DC.

Well, I came in late on my first day but sol was waiting for me.
She briefed me, showed me how and where so I felt comfortable since the 1st moment.
The sofa is ok and big enough to sleep relaxed, everything is clean and so cute, a lovely apartment.
There you can get easily access to the bus or have a nice walk through old town of Alexandria.
Sol is such a nice person and host, she delivers a lot of input about the area and so on....if I wouldn´t have to leave I would stayed much more days.
Whenever again in DC area, I gonna ask for a place to stay.
Thank you Sol, for everything and especially your time.
Horst :-)

Sol was very formal, yet accommadating towards us. Our space was in Sol's living area; it was partitioned to ensure our privacy. We slept on the queen size airbed, which was comfortable after putting sufficient air in it. There were always fresh towels, fruits, snacks, and teas available. Sol's place was 'comfortable and artsy', as she described it, in a high rise located next to the Potomac River and Old Town Alexandria. I personally enjoyed the books made available to her guest, especially 'Green Eggs and Ham' :). We would definitely stay with Sol again.

Amazing visit to DC/ Virginia. Sol was very accomodating and helpful in making my stay the best ever. I must admit I was a bit skeptical prior to my visit but once I arrived I felt totally at ease. I would stay with Sol again.

Sol was a charm, and it is a travesty that our paths did not meet more during my stay. The sleeping area is on a twin fold-out couch in the living room, and she places a folding wall for privacy. As others have said, there is plenty of teas and fruits so you feel right at home. There is a bus line right up front, so getting to and from the Metro is a breeze. Great walking trails alongside the Potomac, if you are game to walk. Yet, did I mention that Sol is a charm? That's what it is really about.

Sol was friendly and communicated promptly in making arrangements. I slept on Sol's fold-out couch in the living room. There's a TV and selections of teas available.
There are frequent buses between the metro and this apartment complex immediately south of Alexandra Old Town.

Good value. Stayed in Sol (Soul)'s living room on twin fold out couch, complete comfort. Nice Christmas decorations. She leaves out a selection of tea with a tea kettle and chocolates, convenient wireless and power for my laptop. I know this location well having lived in this very apartment building in another life. It's a nice walk to the tourist area of Alexandria and a healthy hike to the Metro, from which you can easily get anywhere in DC. I used the SuperShuttle, booked online, to and from the airport $16 each way, very fast, door to door. You're on the Potomac River and in good weather there is a great greenway, park, hike to the south, about 12 miles to Mount Vernon for you runners.
Sol is cheerful helpful, her place is neat and I would definitely stay there again and recommend for budget travelers.
