I am 68 and live in what it was only a summer house, now turned into my main residence: I prefer staying at Lido dei Pini because of the silence, I can stay in Rome in my bed and breakfast whenever I want, but I miss the three hens the three cats and the white rabbit, altogheter with the flowers , birds and butteflies. I enjoy the clean breeze coming from the beach 1km and half away, I stroll with the dog in the pine wood,I A DORE SITTING IN THE ARMCHAIR IN FRONT OF THE FIREPLACE IN WINTER..
Having a choice of three different roads to Rome, I prefer to follow the coast, Lido dei Pini and Torvaianica are not particularly pretty, but rather normal little italian towns, but one can park the car on the sand and have a gelato or a pizza straigth on the beach. With a newspaper,or a book, I feel rich when I can choose a place according to the temperature and the hour of the day.Friends come and visit me attracted by barbeque and I love it.

I could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay during my month-long visit to Rome. When I arrived my host, Laura, was waiting for me. She immediately made me coffee and something to eat. Then, she took me on a tour of the neighborhood and into some of the local cafes & restaurants. Because I like fresh fruit and vegetables, Laura took me on a bus to an open market. My family and I planned a trip to cruise the Italy, Greece and Turkey. There were 6 adults and 1 toddler. We needed a place to stay before and after our cruise since we wanted to spend some time in Rome. Finding a place with 3 rooms was a bit difficult since most places list 2 rooms. Laura is a 68 year old ex Alitalia stewardess and registered Rome tour guide. I found her charming, with good English. Laura has a commitment to service and making your stay enjoyable. Laura's knowledge of Rome (and its bus connections) allows her to double as a tour adviser. If you want to get somewhere, she can tell you how to do it efficiently. Laura is a fabulous hostess. We were severely challenged by the time change. We were supposed to be up for our request breakfast at 9 am and dragged ourselves in a 11 am. She was still there and made us breakfast! Plenty of food and enough to take out for a lunch on the go later. She is an excellent resource for all things Rome. My family had a great time in Rome thanks to Laura. The room was as described, very clean, neat and quiet. The location is great for those who consider visiting Vatican as it's a 5 minute walk. There is a great restaurant -La Vittoria- downstairs and couple of good pizza places and coffee bars. Other areas of Rome are easily accessible by foot or bus. Laura was attentive and caring and most helpful with the local know how (she is a retired guide with great experience and really good English), including in my case transport strikes and how to solve them when trying to get to the airport. The room was neat, clean and very comfortable and my stay was so enjoyable that I have to say that Laura and her accommodation can only be highly recommended. A very warm and positive experience which I plan to do again. Laura Thank You.

Laura is a retired tour guide and really knows her stuff. She was informative and spoke good English. The b and b was as described. It was clean and pleasant and had a good bathroom. Laura sat with us at breakfast most days and gave us information we asked for as well as her own tips and advice on buses, etc. The neighborhood is safe and very close to the Vatican--5 minute walk or less. Laura mothered us like one of her own, making sure everything she did helped make our visit memorable to her city. And her home is located so convenient to St. Peters. Whenever we had a spare hour or two, we found ourselves walking across the street and enjoying another one of the sights the Vatican has to offer--even just sitting on the steps of St. Peters and watching people.

Our stay at Laura's home was enjoyable. The location would be especially convenient for travelers whose main purpose in Rome is the Vatican. For those who want to visit other historical or business areas, the main bus stop is also very near the house and Laura's past experience as a travel guide is helpful. We traveled in Europe for a month and the bed in Laura's "Queen" room is hands-down, by-far the most comfortable bed of our trip!

First time I used airbnb and I loved it... Laura is such a great human being and hostess. The location was perfect, price was fair, great breakfast, accommodations, clean, organized and very accommodating. I recommend to a friend in a heat beat.

We were caught in a 'pickle' as our original host had to cancel. Laura was most accommodating and helpful! We originally booked a room for our two sons to stay for three nights while we stayed at a hotel out of town. As we were dropping them off we realized this is where we wanted to stay! Great location, private bath and limited use of kitchen. Right off Vatican bus stop so easy access to all sights. If you are coming to Roma to see the sights this is the place to stay!

It was a pleasure staying at Laura's place for 3 nights. She was very helpful directing us around town. We came by the Metro, but the bus is much closer. The room and bathroom were very clean, comfortable and the breakfast was good. The location is very near the Vatican with good nearby resturants. We would stay here again when in the area.
