Olga and her family accepted me as one of their own - I could not have hoped for a better experience and, because staying with them was my first Airbnb experience, I fear I am spoiled for future visits elsewhere.
The house is perfect, location perfect (a 5 minute walk to the Capitol), hosts exceptionally gracious and enjoyable to be around...
You get the picture.
If you want to be in D.C., it would be foolish to stay elsewhere.
I'm actually moving permanently to D.C. and hope to keep Olga and her family as permanent friends!

Wonderful people in a wonderful house. I wish my day hadn't been so full - I'd have loved to spend more time there relaxing. I'll definitely call here first the next time I need a room in DC.

Everything was fine, hosts were accomodating, breakfast was bountiful & delicious. 5 stars. airbnb communications system is terrible.

If anything, this description underrates this facility. Located almost within sight of the Supreme Court, the bedrooms in this renovated century old townhouse are comfortable and quiet, even though steps away from most of the tourist action and a short cab ride to anywhere else in the District.

First experience with airbnb and it was awesome! Olga's home is perfect walking distance to the hill and all the museums on the mall. I had traveled back and forth from Baltimore every day for work for 2 weeks, until a friend recommended looking at airbnb for a place to stay. I was so lucky to have found Olga's listing. Olga's family was so warm and welcoming. It definitely made me happier and more sane by getting a nice place to stay instead of fighting commuter traffic.
Thanks Ogla!

a home full of genuine warmth....the building itself is a mix of history, home, and hope. it takes a certain kindness to be able to do what this family does.. open up their home, so that more fellow travelers may know historic Capitol Hill. Logistically, the house is five blocks due east from the the Capitol. A walk many have made throughout our Country's days.
All the best, and enjoy your stay! Charles

I too am another that this was my initial experience with Airbnb and a very good one it was. I have been to DC a number of times over the years and having to go to meetings on Capitol Hill I preferred to stay close by in walking distance and this was perfect. Olga and her family live in a very safe neighborhood that is inviting to walk and enjoy the beautiful architecture and well maintained front yards. I appreciated their hospitality and genuine friendship which made this trip to DC a very enjoyable one.

Over from the UK on a business trip, my colleague and I had never tried the Airbnb formula before. We stayed at Olga's family house and it was just what we needed. It's a great base near enough to walk to Capitol Hill, and a ten minute walk to Eastern Market Metro. We didn't have too much opportunity to get to know Olga and her parents but on the occasion we did have a chance to chat they made us very welcome and produced a tasty and healthy breakfast. They live in a lovely house and we can recommend it. Thanks Olga!

A Skeptic by nature, it was hard to believe that all of the glowing reviews were accurate, but after seven nights at Olga's I am a believer. Olga and her folks live in a lovely neighborhood, a pleasant walk from the Capitol building, museums, libraries, restaurants, shops, the weekly market, etc. It would be difficult to exaggerate what a great and comfortable place this is to stay and how well the hosts treat their guests.

Before coming to Olga's house, I have never tried this formula and I am glad I did. Olga and her family are charming and welcoming.
I had a great experience in every aspect: the location was perfect and above all It was a extremely agreeable to be in family where there is such harmony and love.
It is the best place to discover Washington and I would like to thank them for their hospitality and kindness. I would return any time

After two nights at Olga's beautiful home on Capitol Hill, we know what it's like to be treated like royalty. Olga gave up her room for us, a suite with living room, queen bed and bath, as well as her parking space behind the house. On Sunday morning she made us lattes while Ludmilla whirled about the kitchen preparing poached eggs served with croissants, cottage cheese, avocado and fresh fruit. The location was perfect, close to the Capitol and the bustling farmers market at Eastern Market, and Olga recommended some divine eateries on 8th Street. Olga and her family represent the best of Airbed and Breakfast with warmth, hospitality, and stimulating breakfast conversation. Thanks so much, Olga, for your kindness.

What a welcome relief from the noise and boredom of the cookie-cutter hotel chains. Olga and family were perfect hosts during my short 3 day stay. You couldn't find a more convenient location for visiting all the sights; a few blocks from the capital and likewise for the train stations at Eastern Market & Union Station. My activities were on the west side of downtown, a short and inexpensive ride on the subway.
This beautiful colonial townhouse is immaculately maintained by gracious hosts. Why waste time and money on a hotel.
To Olga and family, thank you so much making my visit such an enjoyable one.

I stayed with Olga's family for a week and couldn't have been more pleased. The neighborhood is charming, and blocks from the Capitol. The house was clean, comfortable, and tranquil. Ludmila (Olga's mom)was warm and welcoming and made an enormous breakfast on Sunday. All in all, perfect.

I stayed with Olga's family for my short stay in Washington and had a fantastic time. Both David and Ludymila (Olga's mum) were warm and welcoming; and made me feel part of the family. They have a lovely home minutes away from the Capitol. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I also requested to stay with Olga's family last minute! I stayed for a whole week and it was perfect. Olga was not home but her family was and there and there were also two other guests staying that were interesting and nice to chat with! I was very comfortable and happy....

I stayed at Olga's and it was great. Despite my very last minute request I was still welcomed and made to feel very comfortable. Got a great nights rest and was on my way the next day to a very productive day. Thanks everyone at Olga's!

Olga is great. I stayed at our place for one night and she even picked me up from Dulles airport also. She also left breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend.

I stayed with Olga and her family in DC, and had a wonderful experience! Her house is centrally located, and 15-20 minute walk from the metro stop. The neighborhood is cool, with interesting architecture and close proximity to the Capitol/National Mall. The house itself is quite interesting, from the 19th century. Breakfast was provided each morning, along with local tips about where to go in DC and how to get there. She even made crepes on the last day! I highly recommend Olga based on her hospitality, fun personality, and location. See you next trip Olga!

We went and stayed at Olga's home for the inauguration. We had a great time. She and future step dad cook a great breakfast and we made some great friends who were also staying there! And their house is literally blocks from the Capitol, which made the journey to the Inauguration easy, unlike so many people who were trapped in Subways, etc... I couldn't imagine us having a better time unless the Obamas invited us to stay in the Lincoln Bedroom.....
