The place was just as advertised with a nice private room 2 floors up of a town house in a quiet area of North East Seattle. Eve was a helpful host who allowed us our privacy. Her 3 legged dog Olive is a real sweety!
August 2011Eve's master suite is impeccably clean and very nicely decorated. We really enjoyed our stay with her. She is very helpful & kind, and at the same time absolutely non-intrusive. I would definitely recommend staying with her. By car, it takes only 10-15 minutes to reach her house from downtown Seattle, and it's close enough to the Lake to go for a run & a swim in the morning. There's also a Starbucks with free Wi-Fi just around the corner (Eve has Wi-Fi as well, though).
Eve is a very helpful and warm host. As a first-time airbnb user, I was immediately put at ease when I arrived. Eve made me feel very welcomed in her home and, if you're a dog person, you're going to fall in love with her dog Olive. The room was clean, airy and spacious with more than enough room. I slept really well - the mattress is firm and comfortable. This was such a nice change from the usual bleached sheets and noisy hallways of a chain motel.
I arranged for my friends to stay with Eve and this is what they reported: The accommodations were lovely, comfortable, clean and private. They both had great sleep on the "really comfortable bed." Eve was a gracious and accommodating host, "We enjoyed visiting with her a great deal." Eve allowed me to check out the place beforehand and also had excellent phone and email communication throughout the experience. Her dog Olive is lovely and friendly. Eve gets high marks from me.
Eve was a gracious and helpful hostess. The accommodations were as advertised. We liked the neighborhood, particularly "The Breakfast Club" restaurant nearby. The location was very convenient for us as we were visiting Shoreline and Downtown Seattle. There was ample street parking available. We stayed with Eve a total of 7 nights and during that entire time her (sweet) dog Olive did not bark once. It was a pleasant experience.
Just as advertised...beautiful and cozy!!! and a beautiful and cozy hostess to match. After full days with our daughters graduation celebrations, we always looked forward to returning to our little "retreat" for peaceful rest and relaxation. It was a real joy meeting Eve. Would definitely stay here again.
Eve's master suite was great - cozy and clean, and we really appreciated having our own bathroom. Eve was a gracious hostess, offering tips and advice when asked, but not hovering. She has a delightful dog and the adoration was mutual between my husband and Olive (the dog). We would stay with Eve again if returning to Seattle.
My husband and I had a great time staying with Eve and her lovely dog, it likes a home stay because Eve is a very friendly and nice host and we had great chats on food and culture. We also learned a lot about pet shelter from Eve. Olive loves to hang around with us and every night, Olive would give us a fantastic welcome when we stepped in the house. The room is very cozy and it looks as same as what Eve post on web, very elegant, clean and spacious. The location is good and easy to get... More »
We stayed at Eve's home in May 2011. We enjoyed the spacious room, the amenities nearby (especially the nice breakfast places), as well as the safe neighbourhood. Eve was helpful and prompt in responding to our requests for an extra pillow and blanket. Above all, she's easy-going and has a good sense of humour, which will add interest to your conversations and stay with her.
Tasteful and comfortable, Eve's house is easy to relax into and Eve herself is the perfect balance of welcoming and giving guests space to just be. Thanks for the peace and warmth, Eve!
Eve's town house was perfect for our needs. It is close to food stores, restaurants and Starbucks. And it is an easy 3 block walk to the bus stop for getting into downtown Seattle and from there the Link to the airport. My wife and I had our own BR and bath. We shared the kitchen and TV with Eve. There is also a garden to sit in, and a park around the corner. The neighborhood is very safe. I had no concerns during my early morning walks or when getting in late at night. Best of all Eve... Exquisite place. Light, airy, simple, elegant. Great bed! Very nice private master bedroom & bath upstairs in this newer three story townhouse. Eve is a most gracious host and made us feel welcome in her home. We will definitely stay here again. Nice location, quiet, easy walk to groceries, shops, bus line, restaurants. Easy drive to everywhere else. It was exactly what we needed.
We rented Eve's master suite for three nights and were really pleased with the whole visit! Eve's home is very beautiful and the master suite is truly cosy. She welcomed us warmly to her home, helped us in every questions we had and gave us many excellent tips to make our Seattle experience so great! To Eve's home it is easy to access by bus. She is reliable and very friendly host with a joyful attitude :)!
Eve was an absolute joy to host and a quick reminder of why I love opening my home and sharing my city with new people. She was a warm, friendly, independent and very easy-going guest, and after our wonderful chats about kitties, food, travel and yoga, she's also a new friend. I look forward to sharing more stories, photos and hopefully dim sum with her down the road and couldn't recommend her more highly to other airbnb hosts!
October 2010Eve and her sister, Helen, stayed in our Upper East Side NYC apartment for a weekend. They were spectacular guests and I would love to have them come stay again! Definitely would recommend!
