Active lady and 40 year Island resident. Very familiar with the area, local restaurants. Know most of my neighbors and enjoy meeting new people. I work on and off the Island, love my daily walks on the boardwalk. Can't wait for a lovely warm & sunny day to kayak the bay or bike to Huntington Beach. I am outgoing but also respect and appreciate quiet time.

Linda Wood is a fantastic Hostess!! I can't say enough about her lovely cottage. It was everything we expected and more. She was very helpful and gracious and took the time to show us around the island in her golf cart. We had a lovely breakfast with fresh fruit and she recommended places to eat for lunch and dinner, (Barolo) was very good in the center of town. We took the ferry to the beach and spent some time on the boardwalk. We had a great time and will definitely return.

A true home away from home! Linda welcomes you into her home with such warmth and enthusiasm that within minutes you feel like you are visiting with an old family friend. We would love to give Linda a 10 Star Rating!!! She is a fabulous host in an absolutely beautiful home. We felt like part of the family from the moment we arrived. Our room was gorgeous and equipped with all the amenities one could imagine. Everything about our stay with Linda was perfect. We were a little apprehensive about staying at a stranger’s house but by the end of our stay Linda felt like family. The location and surrounds can only be described as a little piece of heaven and Linda couldn’t have been more helpful or spoilt us more. I grew up in the area, so I already knew that I wanted to stay on Balboa Island. Seriously, this was the best part of my trip, staying at Linda's place! I was in town for a 40th high school reunion. Linda's house is impeccably clean, eye appealing, charming and quaint, both the outside garden and inside. The room is lovely with a private bath. Linda is a wonderful, considerate, amazing host. The accommodations were even better than we expected and it was just great to hang out with Linda. It felt more like staying with a beloved family member than renting a room. The house was great and the neighborhood could not be more delightful. We look forward to our next stay with her.

Linda is a wonderful hostess, kind, helpful, but not intrusive. She provided a great light breakfast in the morning. The room with bath is all you need on the island and offers plenty of privacy. Balboa island is quaint, and picturesque. You can park your car and walka where you need to go. The ferry is very close to Linda's as well. I hope to return for a few days in the future. Thank you Linda for a wonderful stay.

Very convenient location. Nice room. Very pleasant host. Short walk (+ small ferry) to beaches. Will try to stay here again when I´m in the area again.

While Valerie and I have stayed at other Bed & Breakfast homes, they were operated like a mini hotel. Linda's beautiful home on Balboa Island was like visiting your favorite friend who shared her home as she would with her favorite visiting friends. Bottled water was placed at each side of the bed with Hershey Kisses. The bed sheets were 750 thread count which is the most luxurious feeling on which to sleep.
