Tom speaks the languages and I do the catering. We are young at heart and well traveled. We love to meet people from all over the world and have made many new friends over the years. We offer our bicycles for use when we are not using them and offer rides to people that use public transportation. We rent the whole house by arrangement. There is a large Jacuzzi that is always hot and available anytime. We encourage guests to use the Baby Grand Piano in the livingroom. We are 100 steps to the ocean at The Hook with many rental stores for bikes, wet suits or surfboards available. Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and the Farmer's Market are all within walking distance.

This cozy home is beautiful inside and outside. I loved sitting on the roof, enjoying the hot tub and garden, and really enjoyed Tom and Denise. They were warm and welcoming. Also the location is so nice--right along the ocean. It is a lovely place to stay.

Tom and Denise were warm and welcoming, and their home was lovely! They are steps away from a breathtaking beach. The bed in the guest room is very soft and comfortable, and they provided great restaurant recommendations and muffins and coffee in the morning. A great stay!

What can I say that everyone else hasn't already said? Denise & Tom are great people. Denise is a fabulous cook with wonderful food knowledge (and Julia Child's approval to boot). They are present without being invasive and had great local advice. We both slept very comfortably. The jacuzzi was wonderful under the stars. Location is top notch. Hard to come by a better home base to access Capitola's legendary points. The property is enchanting and hot tub wonderful. Tom and Denise are nice hosts and made it very easy for us move right in and get comfortable. One last thought, the King sized bed is highly comfy!

We were at Denise and Tom's nice house for Christmas Day and Box-in Day. The location of the house is awesome. You are one block from the ocean. The house is clean and neat, and our hosts were clear on instructions. The place is quiet. It has a garden where we can conveniently keep our bike. We definitely recommend this place for people who want to hang out in Santa Cruz!

If your going to Santa Cruz and want to stay close to the ocean with great hospitality and care then this is the place to stay at, Denise and Tom were were welcoming and we felt at home while we stayed there. Amazing place.

Great comfortable/ clean place, just a block from the beach, looked like fantastic tide pools but I never made it down the stairs, though did cycle along top of bluff (pathway under construction). I had not stayed actually in someone's home before... was pleased to find Denise and Tom easy going, as comfortable as their place. Across the hall bathroom was mine alone. We enjoyed ourselves at Tom and Denise's home. They have a beautiful and lush eden-like yard with a hot tub (available to their guests). There is a large roof-top deck replete with lawn chairs, table, barbecue and telescope, and their home is just several hundred feet from the ocean. It was really great to stay with Tom and Denise. Very clean and comfortable place and an amazing roof deck. Walking distance to the beach. Denise and Tom recommended us really nice places to get fresh fish and good food. We almost felt more like a local than a tourist. And I have to mention that it was awesome to meet somebody who was in Woodstock!!!

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Die Dachterasse ist für den morgendlichen Kaffee und die selbstgemachten Muffins von Denise perfekt. Denise und Tom waren unglaublich nett und unkompliziert. Mit ihren Rädern kann man den 2-3km entfernten Badestrand in Capitola gut erreichen. Der Felsstrand 150m vom Haus entfernt ist für Surfer geeignet. Viele Grüße

We checked in late at 10pm after a long drive from LA, but Denise and Kirstin were still very helpful in getting me checked in smoothly. We had an awesome n restful night. Place is homely and v clean! With all towels laid out for us! We love this Plc but pity we had to continue with our journey to san francisco. Would definitely Stay here again if I'm coming back to santa Cruz!

This immaculate place was a fabulous stay for me and my daughter. The bed was on the soft side but super comfy. Tom and Denise were gracious hosts as we barged into their place right as they were about to sit down for dinner. Tom gave us the house tour and later chatted with us about the area and surf culture. The Point in Santa Cruz is a very good place to stay and relax. Tom is a fantastic landlord (he speaks Italian very well :) ). Unfortunately, me and my boyfriend couldn't meet Denise (she was out of the city when we stayed). Tom gave us some excellent suggestion about Santa Cruz and sorroundings. A very good experience to be repeated!

The Point is such an amazing place, perfect if you want to discover the real Californian beach culture even if you don t have a car. It s walking distance from the beach with a super nice pointbreak for longboarder. Surf shop, restaurants and a really cool grocery store a 5 mn by bikes that Denise and Tom borrow. What a great place to stay! Very friendly host, beautiful decorated &furnished home, sooo close by the beach. A paradise for surfers! Unfortunately we only stayed for one day. I recommend at least three. Denise and Tom make you feel right at home and Denise treats you with her homemade muffins in the morning. Wonderful:) As we could tell from their world map and impressive guestbook they have had many content guest prior to us and i'm sure will have as many in the future!

I had a fabulous time at The Point with Denise and Tom. The location was ideal for me, as I went surfing everyday and only had to walk a block to the waves! We had a great stay in Santa Cruz with Denise and Tom! Their place is right near the beach; went for some nice walks and runs along the streets just above the water. They were awesome hosts; had some nice chats with them and they were great at helping us decide what to do while we were there. Such an easy check-in , too, which was really great. Really fun and friendly people, we'd go back again for sure!

Denise and Tom's place was charming and so comfortable. My husband felt right at home playing their beautiful baby grand piano and I felt better than at home reading and relaxing on the roof. I just wish we could have met Denise and Tom! They were away for Denise's birthday and we were attending wedding events and missed them when they returned.

What a warm place! Denise and Tom's place was not only in a beautiful location (a few steps from the beach in Petaluma/Santa Cruz) but was cozy, comfortable and best of all it came with wonderful hosts!! They truly went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay (even lent us Jackets for our whale watching tour and a yoga mat for my morning excercise!). Again, great place, throughly recommend it!

great little spot just a block from the beach - was fun to walk around and watch the surfers. tom and denise gave us a great personal recommendation for dinner - great hosts! we loved the backyard jacuzzi and muffins and coffee in the morning! the upstairs deck would be awesome to use in better weather. the bed was a bit soft for my finicky back, but overall a very positive first-time airbnb experience. thanks!

We could borrow their bicycles, It was so nice to go around, Location is perfect between Santa Cruz and Capitola next to the cliff and the beach. The house is very quite and clean. We had a great time with Denise and Tom! Thanks for the morning muffins, the pleasant conversation, and letting us use the the hot tub on Saturday night. I came to Santa Cruz for the weekend to play a couple of shows with the Santa Cruz Chamber Players, and I just needed a bed for the night, but Tom and Denise provided much more. I wish I'd thought to bring my wetsuit and surfboard - they live barely a block from the Pleasure Point break!

Denise and Tom are amazing Airbnb hosts! Their garden is absolutely beautiful. They have an amazing deck with views of the ocean. A jacuzzi, which we, unfortunately, did not have time to use. I had no idea, but they are located only a few hundred feet away from an awesome surf spot. We came in on a Friday night, had no trouble parking, and left our bicycles securely in their yard. We had an amazing two days riding through Santa Cruz. I can't recommend this place enough!

We had such a wonderful time at Denise and Tom's place, they are great hosts, communication before hand was clear and they are obviously very experienced at hosting people so go out of their way to make it relaxing and workable . It is so close to the beach that Liam was up at the crack of dawn surfing, whilst I couldn't get myself out of the comfortable bed. The garden is beautiful and the hot tub and sun deck a great bonus, we would definitely be coming back here again one day..

I enjoyed my stay very much. I was welcomed with warm open arms and immediately felt so comfortable. I slept like a baby in that bed. My stay was wonderful, the house is very near the ocean. Santa Cruz is charming. There yard is lovely with a hot tub and rooftop view of the water. Very comfortable bed, room and bath. Good privacy but of use of kitchen and living space. Stay several nights if you can. i felt very welcome.

Denise & Tom only wanted to stay for a nights, unfortunately there flight got delay and they arrived late in the evening, they where giving the correct entry code for the front door and apartment. The guard in charge of the main door doesn't recall seen anyone having difficulties getting to the main door.
