  As others have said, staying with Doug and Annie was a real treat. My husband and I stayed for two nights which was our first airbnb experience. We were made to feel right at home and were pampered with a comfortable room and delicious breakfasts. We brought our bikes and had a blast riding all over Brooklyn and Manhattan. Highly recommended!

  I had a great stay with Doug and Annie. They were warm, welcoming hosts, and I'd definitely stay there again. As someone else mentioned, they were even nice enough to secure a ride back to the airport (Courtney was a gem). The apartment is also a great location for spending time in Park Slope and Brooklyn, as well as getting up to Manhattan. Thank you!

  Doug and Annie were great hosts and it felt more like visiting friends than anything else. Their place was cozy, comfortable and the breakfast something we will miss back here. And what else? Park Slope and brooklyn in general is the contrast you need to a long walking day in Manhattan. We slept like babies and really felt part of it, inspite of our contantly hanging camera. If you're lucky to become their guest, don't miss the amazing sunset on the roof! Many thanks!!

  Doug and Annie are excellent hosts and delightful people to meet! Great Park Slope location, charming architect apartment, comfy bed. I had a fabulous weekend hanging out with my son (who lives nearby), running around madly enjoying the wonders of the City, and feeling lucky to have such a great place to stay!

  Finding Doug and Annie's place to stay was one of the many great things about our week trip to NY- they are warm, comfortable people that accommodated us in so many ways- from dropping the key off to us at our sons place- to hooking us up with Courtney, the sweet Jamaican driver that took us to the airport at the crack of dawn.   Staying in Doug and Annie's was an enjoyable experience. A nice open clean apartment in a beautiful tree lined area of Brooklyn, provided the perfect escape from the fast pace of Manhattan. Upon my arrival I was immediately offered a drink, the high level of hospitality continued throughout my stay. On Saturday morning Annie and Doug cooked an amazing spinach and ricotta omelet which they shared with me. Thanks Doug and Annie

  This was a very pleasant place to stay for a reasonable fee. Doug and Annie made me entirely at ease and were very flexible about my comings and goings. The goat cheese omelet was delicious! The bed was nice and there was even a neck pillow like I use at home! The apartment is in a great location in Park Slope close to the subway and bus lines, Prospect Park and loads of great restaurants. I would definitely recommend this homestay site.

  To echo what other reviewers have said, Annie and Doug were warm hosts, great cooks, and lovely people to talk to about construction and architecture. The room was comfy, cozy and clean. We slept like babies and felt very at ease. Great neighborhood to boot. We were very happy to have met them and really enjoyed our stay. Thanks so much!

  Tres magnifique! Annie and Doug were wonderful hosts...sounds like an echo...but yes, oh so true! Don't let the worn looks in double-door outer foyer-entry deceive you...once you enter their inn you are greeted by hardwood floors, quaint and clean kitchen, bath and living areas, which were charmingly and simply decorated by these two talented artists-architects.   You will enjoy staying with Annie and Doug. Of the 5 different places we stayed at over our 5 week holiday this was the most rewarding. They insured we felt welcomed in their lovely home by providing us with fresh breakfasts as well as advice on local restaurants and doctors when my daughter was sick. Doug and Annie took the time to talk to us, which is surprisingly uncommon for Airbnb hosts. We would have loved to stay longer than a week and should we ever return to New York we will book...   I had a wonderful time staying at the Union Inn. The apt is located in a great area with short strolls to some excellent shops, cafes & restaurants. Subway is very close, too. The room is cosy and comfortable and the apt is just lovely. Doug & Annie were perfect hosts and always helping with all my questions. Thanks for a great stay, hope to see you again!!

  We can only endorse previous reviews. Doug and Annie are enthusiastic and smiling hosts. The breakfasts were good, bed comfortable, the place was clean, only 2 blocks from the subway close to food stores, neighbourhood feels safe even late. Annie was kind enough to organize our cab to the airport with no fuss- thank you. We would recommend them and would stay there again.

Doug and Annie communicated with us promptly and regularly and were always receptive and flexible with our needs.   Annie & Doug are very gracious hosts. The apartment was very clean and in a lovely neighbourhood. The highlight of our stay was the delicious breakfast. Annie thoughtfully left out a feast for us consisting of fresh bagels, gourmet bread, organic yoghurts, fresh orange juice, good coffee and fruit. We really got the sense that Doug and Annie wanted to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Highly recommended!

  I had a wonderful weekend at Doug and Annie s cozy place. I had the BEST bed that I slept so well. The neighborhood is perfect with everything--good restaurants, stores, etc and the subway is only two blocks walking. Had a lovely breakfast with them in their cozy kitchen with two long windows.

  My first time in NY and staying at the Union St Inn really added to the experience. In a great part of Brooklyn, it's superbly located. Whatever you need is just a short walk away. Doug and Annie are really nice people and very cool hosts .... If it's available, don't think twice, go for it ..... (oh, and a great bed too !)

  I spent a lovely two days at Doug & Annie's place. It is very handily located with everything you need a couple of minutes walk away. The appartment is very cosy, and the bedroom is spacious. I had a very relaxed breakfast with them on the first morning and took their recommendation for a restaurant for dinner that proved to be excellent. I would certainly stay there again! Nina Smith
