Hi! I'm Eve-Marie, the owner and manager of the Boise Guest House.
Before I did this, I was a professional artist and instructor. I traveled a lot, and always wished I had landed in a place like this; a private kitchen and bathroom, close to a Whole Foods kind of grocery store, with simple and tasteful decorations. I love historic buildings, but never understood why they were covered with floral wallpaper.
Needless to say, the Boise Guest House is a magnet for creative individuals wanting something... a little different! I collect art and curate the rooms myself, and was involved in remodeling the entire building. My heart and soul is in there. What I really enjoy is connecting with the individuals who visit our sweet little family business. My daughter and I (my assistant, Finola) run the place by ourselves. We have a hands-off accommodation, built on the premise that you probably like exploring little breakfast cafes and the area arts scene. We also believe in reducing the carbon footprint, and so we don't offer housekeeping and all the extras you might experience at a chain hotel.
I also snowboard, hike, camp and enjoy Burning Man and other arts & music festivals, as well as independent movies and of course, art and literature. I also welcome guests interested in yoga, meditation and all ideas that enhance human consciousness. I keep my life creative, I'm a young 40 year old! Well, almost 40. :)
