Aloha,
I grew up in California and lived in Montana and Idaho as well before ending up here in Hawaii. My wife grew up in Tokyo, Japan and has lived in Phillidelpia as well as San Diego before we met and settled here together in Hawaii.
My wife and I love living in Hawaii with our 3 dogs spending as much time as possible experiencing the numerous offerings of this fabulous island paradise.
We feel so lucky to have this life and want to share the experience with as many people as possible.

Michi and Steve provide a comfortable, laid back home experience in a non-touristy part of Oahu. They are quick to provide directions, restaurant suggestions, beach equipment - whatever a guest might need. The dogs are large and extremely friendly; enjoy their antics. Don't miss out on a Hawaiian "family" dinner, or Michi's famous lasagne!

I had a great time staying with Steve and Michiyo at their home in Kailua. Kailua is the most perfect place to visit on Oahu. The beaches are beautiful, the people are friendly and it's still pretty close to some of the major attractions like Hanauma Bay, Diamond Head and Waikiki. nice place and very friendly people; Michi and Steve always could help whenever I had a question - I enjoyed my stage very much. the dogs are nice too and although I stayed only a few days I felt very welcome all the time.

I owe many mahalo's to Steve and Michiyo, the most gracious hosts. Not only they showed me around town, gave me great tips about Kailua, offered me many rides, and arranged many fun activities for me, but also they invited me to be a part of the family during my short stay. Cosy, comfortable house in quiet neighbourhood. Beautiful surroundings, stunning beach and no tourists. Warm and welcoming hosts who also happen to be great at cooking and very helpful.

Steve and Michiyo are wonderful hosts. Their home is well kept and in a clean, safe neighborhood walking distance to Kailua Beach. Excellent pool in the backyard and delicious meals. Great place to stay!

Great location for a quiet home base out of the city but only 20 minutes over the Pali from Honolulu. Friendly hosts and pets, nice meals, pretty yard and pool.
