I am originally from Missouri but have lived in Boston for 20 years. I work in marketing at a Cambridge-based biotechnology company. I sing, play the bass guitar, speak French and love to travel. I especially prefer staying in other people's homes and apartments when traveling so as to feel regular life wherever I go. Five things I can't live without: real friends, the striving to know myself, oxygen, water and a really good bed. I have never hosted anyone in my rather cramped old Victorian apartment, payment for which hardly seems fair to the traveler. My favorite place on earth is Cranberry HIll in Chilmark, MA.
