Currently living in DC (via Egypt, Seattle, Chicago, and San Diego) and pursuing a Ph.D. in Middle Eastern history at Georgetown U. DC is great for its bike lanes, museums, and all of the fascinating people here. At the same time, the political bureaucratic scene will never be my first love. I've been pining for Seattle's quirky coffee shops and unbeatable resale fashion, for New York's and Chicago's vast and eclectic neighborhoods, and for new opportunities for world travel.
I cycle, I swing dance, I don't cook but do enjoy eating cuisines from around the world. My favorite way to explore cities is on foot. I don't like reading travel guides, but prefer to make my own discoveries in new places.
