  Really a nice place and a great deal. We loved Monteverde/Santa Elena and this was a great place to access it all. An easy walk to the Santa Elena city center without being stuck in the middle of the bustling tourist center. The staff here was fantastic. Lots of recommendations, assistance and seemed to genuinely want to show off the fantastic place where they live.   Nice clean affordable lodge in a great area of Costa Rica (if you can get past the drive getting there). Alba, the office manager, was extraordinarily helpful in reviewing and recommending activities in the area. Eric was very responsive and helpful as we had to adjust our reservation.

  A very nice place. Ask for Cabin ten as it has an unobstructed view of the volcano. The space was clean, and comfortable and the grounds were really well manicured. The only downside is that the hotel is only about 7 km outside of La Fortuna and each taxi ride cost $12 each way. A car would have been helpful although not much cheaper. La Fortuna was also the most expensive tourist town we stayed in (monteverde and Quepos were the others) and the least accessible without a car (hard to walk... More »

  My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at Hotel Campo Verde! I can't say enough good things about this place and the people that work here. Lisbeth at reception was so helpful in providing us great places to eat, visit and tours to go on. The hotel is easy to find and a short drive to great places to eat and do some shopping.   This boutique hotel is very conveniently located - literally a few minutes away from everything. It is small and very pleasant, with a friendly atmosphere. We had a very nice stay and want to thank the sweetest and most gracious hostess, Yvette.

  The hosts at the Monteverde Rustic Lodge are the absolute kindest people! They were happy to offer us coffee upon our arrival and helped us schedule a tour. Accommodations were simple, with one full size bed for 2 people in a small room. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh fruit each morning!   The room was clean and large. The breakfast and hospitality were wonderful. We appreciated the help with booking our tours and the suggestion of the nice inexpensive Tico close by. When I booked I was told the last room available for 4 people was $100 a night which was higher than what was advertised on airbus. When we got there it looked like there were other rooms available that would have slept 4. The room we had was very big. Too big to be cozy. I didn't ask for another room because my... More »

  This is a pleasant place just outside of Atenas. Great views, nice breakfast, friendly staff. If you reserve through Airbnb, I suggest you contact Vista Atenas directly afterwards so they know about your reservation.

  We arrived late and were greeted immediately by friendly staff who explained everything, all of our options for seeing the cloud forest and even introducing the local lemur in a nearby tree to us. We couldn't have asked for more friendly and generous people than those who host this place. The room was clean, warm and convenient to town.
