I'm a film editor, motion graphics designer and photographer. I travel a lot on a freelance gigs. I usually sublet on (website hidden) and am now trying this out.
No problems; cool neighborhood, great location, and Misha is a friendly, reliable sublettor. Both building and apartment are a little rough around the edges, but nice views from the kitchen and rooftop.
The apartment was perfect for our needs. It's in a good area and close to the city. The views are amazing, too. The only problem was that Misha's friend (who was letting us in) forgot about us and left us waiting outside the apartment for 1 1/2 hours...other than that, everything was great.
Misha was out of town, but he had arranged his friend to welcome us and let us in.
Everything was great and smooth. Location in Long Island City was perfect, and we also liked the neighborhood.
We recommend Misha's place for easygoing people :D
Misha and his guests were very respectful of my property and left it in perfect condition. They are some tough cookies...it was the coldest night of the year I think...27 degrees! I will have to break out the big guns next time with a stronger heater! They were very appreciative.
