I always wanted to help others, so I started out as a Social Worker to do just that. I've traveled the world and always desired to have my very own B&B. To make that dream possible I decided to change to a career in NYC real estate about 10 years ago. I worked for one of the largest Manhattan rental firms and learned as much as I could about our city that never sleeps. I LOVE NY!, it's a very special place and I think you will fall in love with it too. Now we own 11 units that we rent to our guests from all over the world...short term. My dream realized. It is going great thanks to a large degree to AirB&B! I will be posting more pictures very shortly. Thanks for looking, make memories in NYC and I hope to see you soon.
We spent a great week in NY ! An unbelievable New Year, in part thanks to this appartment. We were glad to have this appartment, well-located, not too small, clean, ...
January 2012Great for the cost and close to the subway. Inna is very quick to respond via e-mail or text and very friendly. Wayne, the building manager is very nice, lovely to talk too and lives on the same block so he is easy to reach if necessary. It is bare bones style accommodations so be prepared to buy your own personal items such as toilet paper etc if you plan to stay for an extended time. Building is sprayed for cockroaches etc and there are no bedbugs. Overall, nice experience and great... More »
Everything was good in the apartment, the location is very convenient because you´re going to be very close to the metro and thats wonderful. There are convenience stores besides the building where you can find groceries to eat if you don´t want to cook. The neighborghood is ok and there´s a police station just one block from the building. This is one oportunity to be in Manhattan in a decent, clean and cheap apartment.
Apartment was clean, actually it was being cleaned when we got there, which was fine. Right near the subway stop, never had any problems. Would stay there again.
To visit New York is an extraordinary experience. I the advice to everybody. The apartment is situated well in Harlem and it was in good condition. However not very appropriate(clean) and I think that there is a problem with the heating. But everything it is spent well, thank you for this stay and good continuation.
We enjoyed our visit but there was a few problems but for the price it was pretty good. We arrived to the apartment not really knowing what to do with the check in as the keys were meant to be in the box but there was just an open box which meant anyone could have had access to the apartment, although there was a code on the outside door you could still access the keys without needing that, that's what we experienced when we arrived there because there was a visitor waiting for someone in... More »
For starters, the room was not ready at 2 pm but at 245 pm. There was very little hot water and the shower did not work properly. The pressure was very low and did not last for more then 2 min. If we did not have friends here to shower at I don't know what we would have done. Also the sink's plug was broken and we could not drain the water from it. We told Wayne the landlord about this and he said he would fix it but that it would not be until after our stay. The room was nice... More »
Excellent Location, subway was literally right outside. Apartment was very clean and neat.Good neighborhood. Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts about a block away :-) Thank you Inna.
Bonito y cómodo apartamento a 30 segundos andando de la parada de metro, muy recomendable!!
The apartment was actually better then expected. It was clean and logically in a great locattion. I would stay again and recommend it to friends.
The picture is not really the apartment. The apartment was clean but the hallway smelled horribly. It was not big enough for us and we decided not to stay.
The appartment itself is nicely renovated, nice floor, kitchen, good bathrooms, quite big, but 1 dollar linens are horrible - plastic, which makes you swet and not sleep good, they roll and you wake up with no linen under you, no lamps for reading, the whole place is very dark as in the evening as during the day, because windows are small and go on north. Neighbours are very noisy, running on the stairs during the day and especially during nighttime and hitting the entrance doors, which is... More »
I was set to stay in 4R but it wasnt ready so Inna asked if I minded staying in 4F. I loved it!!!I originally planned to stay for only two nights but was very happy with the convenience to the trains and the comfort of so much space (two bedrooms) that I stayed for a week. It accomodates 6 but we slept 4 the first two nights. I can see it being a little crowded if you have more than one family, but perfect for friends traveling together. Right next to the train is not an... More »
I love the area. Great for a big group looking to shop, tour and go out for a good time. Train station is near by and a great meat market across the street for grocery shopping! The down fall is that there aren't enough pots to cook a good home meal and not enough plates/cups. One paper toilet roll was an insult and not one roll of paper towel. The place was expected to be clean however, no brooms or mops were provided which I think was unprofessional. The place is good but with these little... More »
A recommander.
Good place, with the subway really close. Good value price. The apartment was ok. A little problems with a pipe of the heating but was solved fast.
I went to New York in Nov 2011 with two friends,a girl and a guy, and we had a great time! Staying here definitely was a critical component in our enjoyment of Manhattan. Location: It was around $29 (tip included) to get from LGA to here. The metro station takes less than 5 minutes to walk to, which is very convenient. The neighborhood is okay. Let's say I've definitely felt less safe before. During the daytime, if you're a pretty lady, prepare to be cat-called. At night, we never... More »
Awesome location close to the subway. The space was clean and comfortable with clean linens and towels provided. Overall a great deal.
Great space....loved it. Two blocks from the subway which was a definite plus!!
The apartment is great if you're on a budget and still want a private apartment, rather than shared accommodation. It's not fancy, but good value for the price. It's only 15 minutes from downtown sights. I'd stay here again. Inna was helpful.
The good thing is it is right next to subway.
advantages: great price inna very helpful next to metro disadvantages: Accommodation is not good as cleaning noises in the night dangerous neighborhood in the evening on the subway key and defective door if you go do it just because you want to save money and you are happy
The pictures was better than the reality. Its was spiderweb in the corners and mold spots in the ceiling. We shared both bathrum and kitchen with some other people and we didn´t even want to use the stuff in the kitcken coz it didn´t looked clean. The price was good and we get used to the room but I want stay there again.
"Gorgeous" is a bit of a stretch but well worth the money. The neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy at first but once I walked around it felt very safe. The subway station is literally 3 doors down and it's an express with 2 stops to midtown (:20). I don't know if I would stay there again only because of the distance. I would personally rather stay closer to the heart of the city but would highly recommend it to someone on a budget. My only complaint would be the beds were not very comfortable... More »
More »
Ciao Inna, grazie x la tua disponibilità ! L'appartamento è situato su una zona tranquilla, a poche fermate con la metropolitana si è subito al centro di Manhattan.
it was really great to be able to get a place to stay in NYC the weekend of the marathon at very short notice. The building manager was really nice and the keys were right where they were supposed to be. That being said, you get what you pay for. It's cheap, it's funky and it's no frills. Not a place I would want to stay if I were planning to hang out in the room very much, but good enough for a shower and a bed.
For this monry this is a combination of the great location and good conditions. We didn't need to share anything. Everyone was nice and we spent a great weekend. thank u Инна
We had a very good stay in the 1f, the apartment is pretty big, and very well situated. The neighbourhood is noisy but very safe, we took various time the metro late during night and we always felt safe and comfortable.
appart un peu excentré mais tres correct avec accès métro à 10m de la porte!
Inna's very nice but the flat was not clean. There were hair in the sheets and the bathroom. The total place looked very used. The neighborhood was OK but remoted from the center of New-York.
The apartment was very close to two different subway lines. This was a huge plus. Even though we came back late on most evenings, our group never felt unsafe. The apartment was pretty well represented in the pictures. The big negative for me was the fact that I could never get on the internet and the apartment had been smoked in. There were a couple of other minor things that Inna worked diligently to resolve and did so. I rated this stay as average because of the internet/smoking... More »
Here is our story, We arrived very early in NY, it was 8am when we finally were in the area of the apt. We were able to reach Inna and she told us that we can drop off our stuff at her supper intendent just next to the apt since the check in was after 2.30pm. So we dropped our stuff and then started our day, then we came back at 3pm and the apt was not ready yet, the cleaning lady was still in the apt. In the way, I liked it because I knew the apt was clean. So here are our pros... More »
Stayed in Garden Apartment. Check In process painless (everything in House Rules section of print out). Overall experience great. Apartment a little bit too cold and an occasional street noise heard. Would recommend staying there. Location is quite convenient (next to subway station entrance/ exit and right in front of a pharmacy & a supermarket) and the price was worth it.
My girlfriend and I had a very comfortable stay at the duplex, the host, Sebastien was super cool, welcoming and helpful. I even asked him in advance if he could prepare rose petals all around the room with a bottle of champagne as a surprise for my gf when we first reach there, and he did a great job preparing all that ;). the room and the washroom were clean which is a big deal for both of us. the metro is close to the duplex which was very convenient...over all it was amazing!! The apartment is quite nice, it was bright and a sunny place. Maybe the only thing to be improved is the shower but the rest was perfect.
Good location -- convenient to subway, to downtown and facilities. Room poorly equiped for any housekeeping. Beds OK
I reserved this rental based on the good reviews of the host. I am sad to say I and my traveling companions were very disappointed. First, we were not given the room we requested. We were given a rear room instead of a front room. I was rudely reminded of the importance of the front facing room by a gospel choir at 6AM. Ms Sobel later stated she would have changed us to a front room in another property, but the fact remains she did not handle our reservation honestly. The property... More »
Well, this apartment is very closed to the subway which is right next door. However, there are not that many restaurant to choose from in the neighborhood. There is a super market and convenience store right across the street which you can buy food to cook if you wish to do so. The whole place would feel cleaner if the floor was moped especially near the... More »
Inna was very prompt and king in responding to the messages. The location of the apartment in Harlem is good. Several metro lines pass by there, and Columbia University is very close. I did not have any problems getting into the apartment. The person responsible for handing the keys was there when I arrived. However, the apartment was not in great shape, i would say. One of the walls was mouldy and it was overall not clean. If only kept cleaner and with some nicer furniture it would... More »

This is my second time traveling to the New York, and staying at this apartment was a great experience. The neighborhood is very nice, just walk-away from convenience and groceries stores, and the best thing is you're apartment is just beside the subway (145St. I think).
We booked the Gorgeous 2R for 4 nights. Due to another misunderstanding of another guest, we stayed at another room. We arrive late at night and we were too exhausted to argue about it. The first night was not a good night for us as we didn't expect someone is our room and we didn't like their room. But the next morning Inna solved the problem and we moved to 2R. The 2R is a relatively clean and cozy apartment, nothing fancy, but very good for us who wanted to visit NY. It's doorsteps to... More »

Fun place. Near to the metro.
At arriving we realize that the bathroom was broken. I mean, we didn't have a toilet. After 5 days without it, Inna fixed it. Airbnb helped to resolve the problem. They refund us 50% of the 5 nights without toilet. Also, we broke the AC unit so we had to pay the deposit. The apartment was nice. Not the same as the pictures but similar. The door seemed a little bit insecure. Only one lock with the possibility to use an iron bar to open it. The rest of it, excellent. Fridge, good kitchen... More »
Had a great time in NYC! The location of this apartment could not have been better. At 147th and St Nicholas the door is literally a few steps from the subway (ABCD line). The apartment itself was nice - but needs some love. The floor was FILTHY! We had to wear our flipflops all the time in the apartment. The kitchen has been redone and that was nice. There were definately good attempts to make the place nicer. Cleaning would be the only real complaint. The bathroom and kitchen were clean... More »
Our group had a good experience in this apartment. Our overall experience was better than we thought it would be by reading other people's comments. The location is okay (not the best in Manhattan, of course), but it is close to a good subway station with express trains. Anyway, this is a place that I would totally consider renting again when going to... More »

The host canceled my reservation the day before arrival.
Summary: cold, no warm blankets, unfriendly owner, shared bathroom with 10 other people - ONE bathroom, toilet paper in the bin not in the toilet=disgusting, dirty
The place was not bad but defnitely not for people who are fussy or really particular about the cleanliness and location. Personally, I thought it was quite a far walk from the subway station. Everything was in place but I felt that the place was not really clean. Somehow, the bedsheets and blankets given were not really clean. There was already rubbish in the bins when my friends and I arrived. The washroom was a shared one and it was not well maintained. However, it is still recommended... More »
This place was good for the price. It's basically a higher-end hostel-like environment in that we had our own room and beds and a decent kitchen area. The downside was that single futon bed was broken and couldn't really be used as a bed. The toilet handle in the bathroom was broken and you had to use a string where the handle would be to flush the toilet. The tenants upstairs were a bit noisy into the wee hours of the night. Also, the email we got from the landlord said the place would be... More »
Easy key exchange, great location (I needed west side access to Penn Sta / Times Sq. - perfect on the A train). Apartment looks dicey on outside and was clean, spartan on inside. Oven door was off, but not an issue for me (no plans to cook). No TV. All in all a decent place, although a bit expensive for the interior quality. I would go back if the price were right.
Had everything we needed. Good location, very close to subway, relatively quiet. Reasonably clean. Nothing fancy, but if you need a place that's not too expensive to store your stuff and sleep for a bit, this is your place.
Me and my wife stayed at Columbia for 3 nights on the first floor. The build appearance was not good, but expected for the price. The bed, restroom and the kitchen was ok. The location is perfect, but we had some issues that made the our experience not so good: 1. Just when we arrived, the room was not ready (3:30 p.m.). Imagine after 24 hours in a trip, you probably want to take a shower or take a nap, but unfortunately we was suggested to take a walking in the neighborhood for 2... More »
The place is great! Very well located very clean and confortable! I had a little problem with the keys at first, but was solved quickly! Love it! I would definetly stay there again!! Thank you Inna!

My first AirBnB experience was with Inna and it met my expectations based on the reviews I had read. We stayed in a place different than we had booked but I expected that from the reports of Inna's past bookings. The area seemed slightly sketchy looking but my mom, sister and I never felt unsafe at all. It was excellent staying so close to the subway and Inna's rates were a good value. The place we stayed in was a lower-level flat with a walk-out garden and a private bath near... More »
The only things that I don't really like was the stairways because they are old and the front door's lock, because it's difficult open it. The apartment is just like the photos, great location (two blocks away from the subway), very safe. You can get Times Square very quickly (10 min). I like it, I would stay again in my next NY visit.
Inna was a really good host. She greated us and was able to accomodate our early checkin. The appartment is beatifull (no tv tho). The location good, close to transport and minutes away from attractions. The neighborhood on the other side was a bit sketchy (without incidents). It should be fine as long as you stay on the main streets. It's sure worth the price and we would stay again.
Initial apt was overbooked so the reservation was changed two days before our trip. Apt was fine and getting in was no problem. Floor was kinda dirty but then again it's not a hotel.
Our stay was very pleasant. The subway is within walking distance and there is an express train that takes you in 10 minutes manhathan. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Inna met only by phone, but it seemed a very nice person. If I return to New York did not hesitate to look to staying again.
Nice flat, near to subway..I can recomand it.
well, when we arrived at the room which wasnt poss before 1.30pm (because of the cleaning) we were quite surprised that it was such a clean looking room. actually things were ok, but since noone was there when we arrived (the key was in the mailbox) we didnt know when to leave, we sent a txt message to inform that our flight leaves at 5.30pm and that our packed stuff is ready and well pick it up betw 1-2pm(same time as it was allowed for us to arrive). when we returned about 1.30.(it was... The best combination of price and quality. Close to the subway.
Ventajas: Piso en zona mas bien tranquila, barata, junto a la parada del metro, barato. Desventajas: la zona un poco regular, un poco viejo. En general bien para pasar unos días NO para largas temporadas.
Not a good way to go. Arrived and they gave me the wrong key. Apartment was dirty. Said they would get me the right key and eventually did. It was so sketchy I didn't dare leave my luggage there until things were worked out.
The area of the building is not the best but it is hard to find something better for that price (we were 4 people). The apartment is old looking but the rooms are ok, nothing fancy but good enough to crash for the night. The subway is very close and during nighttime it was fairly quiet. My girlfriend didn't feel too safe but i would stay there again if i need something for a night or two. (we stayed one night while waiting for another apartment)
The area is good, well located, close to metro. We arrived around 10pm and could not find the building. We did not like the entrance, it was not that clean and it was difficult to access apartment -- 4 floors to go up! The apartment still needed cleaned and we had to wait. Also, the apartment we reserved online did not match the one we got, however it was a good apartment. We had everything we needed. It was comfortable and clean.
i stayed in inna's apartment for 2days. though my children (2 boys) found d apartment boring as there was no kiddies channel to watch but this was due to communication gap btw inna & myself. if i had called her earlier she would have resolved d problem. It's NYC, so we can't complain. You get what you pay. Since it's such an affordable place to stay in Manhattan, don't expect a fancy room. There were 5 of us: my husband, my mom, and our 2 young daughters. The place is very small, which is not bad, the beds are not the most comfortable, specially the extra portable folding bed, but it was fine for two nights. I think the cleaning crew could do a much better job. I saw a dead cockrach in the kitchen. There are no blankets, which we did... More »

More »

Inna was a fantastic host. Last September, I was in dire need of a place for three friends and I and after being told that she had no more room for the days that I'd be in town, Inna messaged me a few days later telling me that she found a last minute availability. The room was a little different than the one depicted in the listing but was close enough. There is no separation between the two rooms which is not apparent in the photographs.
Great location in Harlem, very close to two metro stops and a big supermarket. I'm not too sure about original beauty but the buiding itself did have some charm to it. Overall an ok place to stay, and the location really couldn't have been better.
(sorry for my english) First, we have been given the keys to the rented apartment, but the roof was leaking and there were dead cockroaches. So we call Inna and she has moved us to another apartment much bigger. After a quick check, we agree to stay in the apartment. Error. There was dried blood on the cover of the bed. We saw a huge cockroach alive the next evening. there was also the decay of wood on the curtains and the shower was broken. I do not recommend this apartment.
The picture is nicer than the 4F that we stayed in. I read a lot of reviews on here and was prepared for it to not be very nice. But I have to say to the ones who said it was dirty, it was not. It's a very old building and needs remodeled it has a dingy feel to it that paint would help and it's very small with just the basics in it. But for the price it was better than I expected it would be. If you are use to hotels and need all the comforts it's not the place for you, but for a party of... More »

We were not at all pleased with our stay. Firstly, we waited more than half an hour to be let in- despite the fact that Wayne was inside that whole time. We were told we were in 4F (front) but were infact in the rear- so no nice view. We were promised pillow cases for the first night (when we arrived, they were one short) but didn't get them for 2 or 3 days- even though we left many notes for Wayne. We have been in Inna`s Flat for 10 days. We didn`t got the right flat as promised but an other one in the same house. It`s a nice flat and it`s easy to get downtown in around 20 Minutes. But we had a few days no gas and u have no reasonable pans or pots and we had the first days no warm water. We got a discount from Inna but if u think about to cook in the flat u should bring your own cooking stuff.
Inna was very helpful and had a very nice temperament.
The host canceled my reservation 5 days before arrival.
I made the reservation for my parents and my little sister visiting from France. Except an issue to get the keys, they told me the apartment was clean and well located.
Everything was excelent! I had no problem with Inna or the apartament. The neiborhood was also good. Its a cheap and security way to stay in ny!
so i did not get the original room i singed up for, not sure why, but it was fine, i had a cute little studio, was supposed to sleep four, thank goodness it was just 3 of us, because the sleeper sofa didnt open and none of us could figure it out. besides the bed issue, the place was neat clean and even tho it was a studio it was spacious and in a nice neighborhood, and i would definitely do it again! :)
What you see is what you get. Wayne was awesome, the area was good, and the subway was really close
Everything was good! I suggest it!
We were in apartment 2R, and it was quite lovely; clean, spacious and quiet, just what we needed. We were in NYC to give a concert and it looks like we are invited back to perform again and we will definitely try to secure this place again.
Once arrived we called Inna for the doorcode and got the keys from the mailbox. The apartment reflect exactly the description given on the site, we staid there in four (23 years old) so it was a bit crowded but everething was cool. The neighborhood (Harlem) is great! Nothing about shooting in the streets or robbery. The people there are cool and nice, nobody caused us problems. Just across the street there are all the services you may need during the holyday (bank, pharmacy, laundry,... More »
At first we were sent to another entrance of the building next to the one we had booked. This building wasn't in the best condition, but the apartment itself was good. It had everything we needed, with private bathroom and kitchen. The problem was that we found some cockroaches! We told Inna, but she didn't give us a solution. Apart from that, the location is very good, near the subway, and the area is safe. And the price is very good too!
I had a nice stay in this studio with my boyfriend, his sister, and her husband during a 3-day/4-night visit of the city. While it is a bit intimate for four people (one room with one bed and fold-out couch, kitchen and bath shared with a second room with separate renters), the location and the price were excellent and we were so busy that we only returned to sleep anyway. There was initially a problem with the keys not being available upon our arrival but Inna helped resolve it promptly even... More »
We booked in a pinch and Inna helped us to make it happen. Went there with our kids and mom. The apartment is on a good street and the location is really convenient, being a very short walk to the A train (express gets you downtown very quickly). We had two apartments on the same floor. One (the rear apt) was much better than the front one (seemed cleaner/newer/nicer). We had a number of things that were missing from the list and some lights were out in each apartment. In addition, the lock... More »

Hey, guys! Me and my friend travel alot, often book a hotel and apartment as well, hense we know how to get good value for our money. But this place I must say, the worst place as I ever been. Probably if it would costs not more than $50 per night, I won't write this comment, but it costs as a room in a good hotel, so it must be clean and without cockroaches. Unfortunatly, I found several cattles in a bathroom, and was shocked. The entrence was somewhere below stairs and then we had to move... More »
I recommend getting a hotel farther away than living here. For the price, the place was too dirty (sheets were stained). The street seemed safe but the area overall isn't the best (Harlem).
The Apartment is on the fourth floor of a brownstone in Harlem. It was clean albeit a bit hot due to the heat in NYC the weekend I went. It's close to buses and the train stations. One can walk from 125th to Central Park quite easily and the neighbourhood was safe. I would recommend it to anyone.
We stayed in 1F in April, and had a very positive experience. The second time we stayed in 3F, and it was likewise very pleasant. We arrived before the 1pm check-in time, and only needed to wait a few minutes for it to be ready. It was wonderfully air-conditioned (an absolute necessity with the very hot summer temperatures and humidity), and the facilities were generally clean. There were clean towels, toilet paper, and paper towels; all very convenient. The location of the building cannot be... More »
I rented a place at 749 St. Nicholas for 5 nights in July. Although I find Inna herself unfriendly and not very customer service oriented, the stay turned out quite pleasant after all, mostly thank to her husband who seems to look after the place and its visitors. The keys that I found left for me were not to the apartment I rented, when I contacted Inna about it she told me "she gave me the apartment with the garden" , although the garden turned out to be the junk yard and the place itself a... it is in Harlem west. it's safe. but I was arranged to stay in 2/F, so I dun know anything abt 4F. Inna is helpful.
Great stay as always!!!
Pictures are misleading. Rooms are very spartan. Clean enough, but thinnest sheets I have EVER encountered. Window air loud, not very effective. Neighborhood seems reasonably safe, close enough to subway. Key was not labeled as expected, but a phone call (at 11 p.m.) quickly sorted that out.

Great place for the money. I will definately stay there again. Ina was always reachable and answered any questions. The stairway leaves a bit to be desired however I made friends with one of the other people staying and was able to see a number of the apartments and they were all great places. The only issue I had was the internet but being in such a great location there are tons of places near the apt. where you can get wireless if it is not working in the apt. Ina and her Apt.'s are a... The apartment is nice and Inna was responsive and reachable. The neighborhood itself is a little intimidating, theres a fried fish place next door and the smell can filtre through the bathroom window. The apartment is quiet in terms of street noise, but someone played the drums and music throughout the night and into the early morning hours. Kind of like a constant base that kept my wife awake for most nights. I was able top sleep through it (the sound of the AC helped).
When I arrived the apartment hadn't been cleaned. Dirty bedding and towels were on the floor and the kitchen sink was filled with dirty greasy water and dirty dishes and garbage were all over the kitchen. I got in touch with Inna (early afternoon) who said someone would come and clean and bring clean bedding while I was out. When I returned around 11pm with my friend who was staying the week with me, the apartment STILL hadn't been cleaned and there was a garbage bag with clean, unfolded... More »
We were put into another space, as Inna claimed there was a "scheduling conflict". The other space didn't have much, and it was filthy! I've lived in Africa. I know dirty. This wasn't dirty. This was filthy. Black floors. Dirty & stained sheets. Mold and mildew everywhere. Pubic hair on the floor in the bathroom. Broken bits of the flat everywhere. The bathroom had no knob, just a bit of coathanger wire-- my girlfriend got stuck in it -- twice. The proper property which we got into was... More »
The cost/benefit ratio was more than positive for us. There was a problem with the key of the main door, but that was solved very soon and for this reason we paid less. Wayne, the manager who lives in the apt. in the ground floor, has been helpful and nice (just don't try to call before 10:30 AM on Sunday!). If you are looking for a traditional hotel room go somewhere else. If you are happy (as we are) with a decent place, in a very good location, for an extremely reasonable price, this... More »
How I can start. The appartement was not clean when we came the first day, ths sheet also. So we need to buy some stuff for clean up and sleep in a good bed. After that, the place was correct ecept some details like the bathroom door doesn't close, some rust in a bath... I know the price is cheap so you 've got a place cheap but clean up and clean sheet is the minimum.I think so.
We had 2 bookings here-- 1 for 2 nights, and 1 for 1. The first booking was simply unacceptable. The second one is what this review is for. This time around things were better-- the floors weren't filthy and there was a doorknob on the bathroom. Still, though, there were strange stains on the sheets (including blood), lots and lots of roaches (difficult to stop if you can't control the behaviour of people in the flat), clear evidence of poor cleaning (pubic hair on the floor in the... Overall pleased. While the exterior left a lot to be desired for ((website hidden) Street View the place and see for yourself) the actual room was not bad. The room was clean (not really too sure about the linens or the occasional cucaracha skittering across the kitchenette) and very IKEA modern. On a basic level it was exactly what we paid for and needed, a cool comfortable place to sleep and shower. The neighborhood might seem a bit intimidating (basically more West Harlem than Morningside Heights)... More »
Inna responded to us quickly when we reported a problem. It's a good value for New York. But remember you get what you pay for
Nice place, and Inna also being nice for letting us check in early. Complete facility for a studio apartment, and very close to the subway. The cons, the bed a bit damp, so we have to sleep on the sofa bed and there's a comforter provided which we can use to sleep. Overall it's a nice and very cheap place to stay while in NYC. Thanks Inna.

I was disappointed by the professionalism of Inna. First, we arrived at 1 am on the night of friday and saturday and we did not have access to the appartment. We had to sleep in another hotel. Second, once we had the access code to get to the key of the appartment, none. We had to wait hours to get the key. Third, the appartment was not ready for us (durty). Inna said the will reimburse the first night (at the hotel) 95$. Still waiting for my money back. she did not bother to come and... More »

For the price of the stay... a group of 4 stayed in this apartment comfortably... Thanks Inna...
4 of us stayed at Original Beauty at Hamilton Heights. The place is convenient and provides everything as promised..It is absolutely great for the price and convenient to get to by train. The contact person with the key was gracious even though we reached late at night. We never had a problem reaching Inna through email or phone and checking out later in the day was not a problem. Parking was easily available as well.. I would recommend this place to anyone!

My experience in the flat was AWEFUL. First of all, the keys were not in the mail box when i arrived, i had to call Inna and she asked me to wait. A woman came to give me the keys and told me the flat i had rented 3F was busy so I had to stay at the 3R. I had read in the website, people had the same experience when renting the 3F and the 3R was a worse apartment, so I wonder if the 3F is ever available... We arrived and nobody was at home. After talking by phone with Inna we could go in the apartment. It had USED AND DURTY SHEETS AND TOWELS. There was durty dishes and nobody had cleaned it although we had payed 35 dollars. The day we should check out the housemaid made us go out while we were having lunch.
It was really easy on short notice. Although it was only one night it wasn't too bad. Had a mix up with the keys but apart from that it was no hassle.
ok place to live. quilts are kinda dirty.
Stayed on floor 5 in the end which was fine but not the room advertised. Inna was lovely and was quick to respond to phone calls, the only problem i had was the shower curtain fixing which fell off and was repaired only to fall out again. This is probably due to flakey walls and was only a minor inconvenience. Overall simple place to stay, and cheap as its based up town.
The place is different from the photos, it is pretty run down and toilet is really dirty... The bedsheets and sofa beds seem pretty dirty and my friends and I were quite freak out at the cleanliness of the place. The door was rather run down and looks like it can be break open easily. Location is pretty good though, express train reaches 125st from the downtown.
I actually stayed in 3F on St. Nicholas Ave, and yes it looks EXACTLY as it appears in the photo. Inna was such a fantastic host. My plans to be in NYC were last minute and in less than 24hours, Inna took care of everything. The apt was clean and available for me to gain access as soon as I arrived. We stayed in Inna's two bedroom off Amsterdam and 145th, a spacious, pretty, wood floor apartment with a back yard! It was fantastic. A few simple amenities missing (bathroom rug, extra comforters, soap), but the overall experience was amazing. Super convenient near trains/bus and safe area. Will definitely stay again!
For my birthday weekend, I rented 3R & 4R to accomodate 7 people. When I arrived, I contacted Inna's assistant and she was able to quickly assist me and was at the rental within 10 minutes. After that, I hand no further issues and was able to enjoy my entire weekend with friends, carefree. Given the great deal and the location's convenience to public transportation, cabs, the grocery store and anything else you would need for a short stay, I would definitely recommend this place!
Location is a bit out from downtown Manhattan but you save alot of money. Apartment is in Sugar Hill, one of the nicer areas in Harlem. You do however get what you pay for. Apartment came with no A/C despite apartment across hall having it. We didnt find this fair at all and we paid same price. Apartment also came with cockroachces the size of a tennis ball. We booked the apartment for 5 Nights. We were initially allotted a room with very poor light and no cleanliness. After discussion with the maintenance lady Lincy we were asked to move to a different room for first two nights. We were happy to do that to avoid the first black hole. Good location, very convenient with the metro. Room was large enough for 4 people. I recommend it
The brownstone was a lovely place to stay. Getting there was quite simply and neighborhood was peaceful, for the most part. Both rooms were fairly large and it accomadated more than my groups of 8 people. The only down side about this particular place was the fact that the a/c units were not put in place prior to my group's arrival, one of the futons was also broken while the other was not able to be pulled out, and the bathroom shower was filthy.
I stayed in 361 W 123rd 2F which isn't advertised and seems to be an overflow unit. Upon check in I had to install the window ac unit that was in the closet because it was so stuffy. There was body hair all over the bathroom and the kitchen utensils were crusty. No wifi - had to wait three days for that to be installed while incurring data charges on my iphone hotspot service. The apartment was a different one from the one I was expecting based on Airbnb and the emails from Inna. 'Gorgeous' is a bit of a misnomer! We've rarely seen anything less gorgeous than the entrance hall of this property - it was dark, dingy and dirty and we wondered what we'd come to. That said, however, once inside the apartment was fine. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was all the equipment we needed. I've lived in the area for the last 4 years and have always liked the location. It's conveniently located near the subway, with express trains downtown. But as other reviewers have noted, there were some problems with the stay. Firstly, the front door lock does not open easily and clearly the key/lock needs to be fixed. Innas place was great in a very nice location in Harlem. The apartment was only 1 block away from the subway and is a perfect distance to all the tourist attractions New York has to offer being only around 10-15 minutes to Times Square. The apartment was a good size for us traveling as a party of 3. I would recommend Innas apartment for people looking to stay near the city on a reasonable budget.
Staying here was quick and easy. I never even had to see Inna. We just picked up the key and stayed there np. Sure the location isn't the best part of town but the apartment is relatively clean with new appliances and a decent amount of room. It's cheap and worked well enough.

More »
hi there. the flat is quite nice and there is for sure enough space for 8 people. our toilette didnt work and couldnt check in because there were still people in the flat. Its not that clean as in a hotel/motel but therefore the price is really good. If the toilette would work I would stay there again!
We had a good stay, nothing to say about that but the flat we had does not look like the photos. It was relatively clean. There was no doors on the oven and no TV. But this definitely doesn’t change the fact that it's a good place for a good prince in a good location!
The room itself wasn't bad. It was the 16 hipster NYU students living there for the weekend and shooting their senior thesis that made it a hellish place to stay. Their stuff was in the bathroom, kitchen and hallway. They began shooting at 6am every morning. We could hear everything through the paper-thin walls. If most of the apartment was rented out to college students to shoot a film, this single room should not have been rented to us. It was a terrible experience.
The host canceled my reservation while we were in transit to NYC, about 4 hours before we would arrive there. I found out because the lovely people at airbnb called me and helped us find other accommodations right away. Have a backup plan if you book with Inna.
This is a somewhat complicated review. First, we did not stay in room 1R. My wife and I stayed in 3F. And I'm glad we did. The difference, as I understand it, is that we had a room that was, in essence, a studio apartment with our own bath. We had a reservation for one night, and when I booked it Inna quickly responded that the room we had booked (1R) was not available, and she put us in 3F. I called Inna about 30 minutes before we arrived. A few minutes after we arrived we were met by... More »
Inna was quick to respond at all times. Communicating with her was fast and easy. I traveled to NY with a group of friends and we were all able to comfortably stay in the two rooms she rented out to us for the night. The rooms were clean and we were provided with plenty of towels, sheets, and blankets. Both apartments were not super fancy but they were cute and perfect for our group of college friends. It felt more like we were actually living in Harlem, rather than just staying at a hotel... More »
This apartent is located on a busy and rather unsafe block (I used to live in new york and know harlem well) and the door which opens on the yard has no bars. When we arrived, bed linen was missing, as well as cutlery, the trash was just outside the apartment's door and the apartment's door could be pushed open. The Internet wasn't working . We asked inna to change apartment and went to a studio on 123. Although safer, the Internet was down (it took a few days have inna take care of it), ... More »
I would nt recommend the brownstone. The hosts had told us where the keys could be found, but they neglected to leave the keys. Consequenlyt, we had to track down the hosts. Upon entering the brownstone, there was a distinct odor of old motor oil that pervaded the entire building. We discovered that the sheets were dirty--they had apparently not been changed. The pillows provided were strewn on the floor of the closet and were by no means clean--so we did not use them. Although the host... More »
Inna's place was great. 2 blocks from the 125th A/C and B/D. totally convenient and really clean place. flexible about check in and even offered to help me look for an apt of my own in NYC!
Convenient street parking almost outweighs the noise heard from the street and heater in the morning. Nearby stores makes it easy to pick up groceries for your stay. You'll have to travel rather far to see the sites (Times Square, Empire State) or walk around downtown (Chinatown, Soho, Greenwich.) since the apartment is uptown, but its a good deal if you wish to stay a few nights in the city.
first of all, the apartment in the pictures is not the apartment we stayed in. but still it was good, the area is really nice. the apartment was unfortunately not very clean. besides that we really liked to stay there and would recommend this place!
Staying at Inna's was a very pleasant experience. We ( a family of 3, with a teenage girl) contacted Inna in the morning, and got the room on the same day ( we were driving from Toronto). In fact, it was not just a room, but a studio in a brownstone. 2 beds, a fridge, a microwave, bath tub - we got everything we asked for. Location is amazing, 5 minutes walk from subway, Columbia University, city tour bus stop, very close to all you wanna see in NY. We spent a couple of nites and really... More »
Our stay was great! We ended up staying in 1F rather than 3F, but it was nice and suited our needs. The apartment was very cute -- high ceilings and an old brick fireplace. It was clean and there was just enough space, which is pretty much all we wanted. The building is super close to the subway stop, which was convenient, as we spent the majority of our time downtown. Inna answered all of our calls/questions and was very patient. We'd definitely rent from her again. Thanks!
This is a great place to stay if you need a conveniently located, spacious accomodation for a good price. It comes with most of your necessities and lacks the bells and whistles. Which makes sense for the price. Inna is very responsive and was a pleasure to make a reservation with.
First of all, the good things: it was clean and the hosts were very serviable. The subway entrance was very close to the appartment. Not so good things: it was noisy (we could hear tbe subway all night long) and the old heating system was not working properly. It was either very hot or very cold.
The location was very good I stayed in St. nicholas Av , and it was good In front of house there is a market to buy groceries and beside of house there is a entrance for subway It was really good to come near by midnight and it's not bad to use internet ( not too slow , just normal ) But house has some problems. When we arrived, it was dirty . so we should buy detergent or other things for cleaning and It was cold . If you wanna go there you should bring hot pott or something... More »
We were a big group of people and they managed to give us two floors so that we could be altogether. We had some problems with the bathroom but we could find a solution soon. We spent Christmas and New Year's Eve. In some rooms the heating system was not working properly. We needed more light in some places. Some plug sockets were not good. The wi-fi connection was perfect. Inna and her assistants were really nice all the time. They helped us with everything we needed (extra keys, blankets,... More »

We had a great time at this Apartment in Harlem. Actually, 1F had something wrong with it and Inna put us in a two bedroom space on the 4th floor. It allowed us to spread out a little, but it was hassle getting the bags up the stairs! Overall, it was a good time, and Inna was very responsive whenever I had to call her.
I just spent a week in late December in 3F St Nick Ave. I didn't really have a problem at all. As someone states, yeah, it is a bit noisy outside - but it's frickin' NYC. You're staying on the upper west side of Manhattan, not rural north central Florida (which is where I live). Is it the Plaza Hotel? No, but it's a great place to stay. I come to the city every year and this is the first time I've stayed at one of Inna's places. I'll most likely be coming back during the summer and staying... More »
Mice shit in one kitchen cabinet. The heater lost hot steam. The heater made horrible loud noises and I am not sensitive! The blankets and pillows looked dirty. We could not look the door. What else should I say???!!! But if we called the caretaker of the house, he was there right now!!! and excused for the mice shit and the heater!
A great place for the price. We especially liked how close to the subway it was. Also, free Internet and towels were a nice touch. The only con is that it's noisy outside at night, but it was easily remedied by some earplugs.
We had reserved 1 night (Saturday after Thanksgiving 2010) in Gorgeous 3F, but were switched to 3R. 3R does NOT look like the pictures for 3F. The upper kitchen cupboard doors fall off if you open them. There is a bent coat hanger for a bathroom door handle. The bathroom is dirty and moldy - none of us took a shower. The toilet seat is broken. There is a leak on the radiator upstairs, so water drips in the corner of the "living room" all night - like Chinese water torture. There... More »
Rented the Gorgeous Apartments for 4 days in November 2010. Stayed in 4R. When we arrived at JFK, I called Inna's assistant to let her know we had arrived in NY. She told me where to find the key. The apartment was very easy to access by subway, there was a stop literally across the street. However, when we arrived, the key was nowhere to be found. After a few phone calls, I finally was able to reach Inna's assistant and she apologized profusely and said she would be right there to get our... More »
3r is a perfect apartment for travelling students! we stayed there as 3 persons and loved it there. it was exactly as we expected it from price range and we felt we made a good deal. we did not meet inna but lindsay said hi the last evening. inna responded really quickly and politely to every mail i sent her. the best thing was the huge american fridge with ice machine and that the subway, groceries and everything you need as a low budget traveller were all right next to the house.
We spent 10 days on the 4R, wich is on the 4th floor WITHOUT elevator!!! No one came to welcome us, we had some troubles with the heat wich was not working well. We were 4 in the flat with only 1 set of keys, we had to call for have a second one. Despite of that we spend a good time. The apartment was well placed on Harlem at less that 5 minutes of the subway 145th.
Very disappointed by the apartment, sheets smelt bad and braids were very dirty (spots and stenches). I really advise(recommend) to person to rent this apartment. Very expensively for what that is. We did not meet Inna, no welcome(reception)... Bathroom and toilet common to two apartments (not specified in the announcement)
Great Location! 5 minutes from express subway station. The room was good, spacious enough for two people. We had no problems with the shared bathroom. The only detail is that the next door neighbor(building caretaker) has two dogs that occasionally barked. I myself have dogs and had no problem, but the add should let visitors know this. For the rest of it, it was a great place to stay.
The place was nice. I had children so the bunk beds were great. I was happy that the keys were easy to find and that things were not a hassle being there. I'd stay again. Thanks.
Inna was very helpful making sure I was taking care of.
The room is bright and newly ikea renovated and although she charges a service fee, the service was deplorable. The dishes in the cupboard were dirty. There was no toilet paper. The latch on the door handle gave out on the day of our departure and we were almost left trapped inside. I requested sheets and blankets for 2 people for the separate beds twice by e-mail. There were lots of sheets, but only one blanket. After our first night with only the one blanket, I phoned to again ask... More »
The apartment room was lovely and I was very happy with cleanliness, furniture, general feel of the room. The only slight issue was that we were sharing the kitchen and bathroom with the building's permanent lodger, who had 2 dogs which we weren't told about previously. As my friend was allergic, this was a bit of a problem! Also as this flat is shared with a permanent lodger it felt more like we were intruding on their space much more than it would had we been sharing with other guests.... More »
I won't recommend it! Things didn't go really the way we planed. First when we arrived, we had to wait almost an hour, to get the key, to be able to enter in the appartment we rented, as the person in charge to give us the key, had no clue where they were, after searching everywhere a person from the office came to give us the key. I asked her if she found the key everybody was searching for, to be sure that it was not lost or someone else had them and she said that she was the one who had... More »
A big positive aspect of this apartment is its location right next to a number of subway stations and bus stops which can take you downtown. The flat was relatively clean and well equipped. We only had 2 chairs although there were 3 of us, but it didn'T end up being a big problem. As well, and this is a great plus, the building was very calm and not noisy which made for great sleep!
Had some problems getting the key on the first night (maybe because of our late booking, confirmation, and check-in). The place is a block away from 145th st station which can go to downtown in 20-30 minutes. The room is generally clean but will look much better if redecorated. Overall, given the price, this is a good deal.
Good quality/price. Not extra clean but nothing terrible. A little far from downtown but again, nothing terrible.
My daughter and I felt very thankful to be able to afford a place to stay in NYC! It was going to be over $1000 to stay for 4 days in a hotel! Lindsey, the person who helps Inna now, was very helpful! Spoke to her before coming to NYC. The key was waiting for us when we got there, and I had the feeling if we needed anything, she was there to help! The subway was right out the door of Gorgeous! I don't think I would cook there, but it was nice to have a fridg to keep our milk & water cold.... More »
We stayed in Brownstone on the Park a couple weeks ago. Given our previous good experience using AIRBNB bookings we were surprised and disappointed. We were surprised by the unclean shared bathroom and the absence of blankets on our arrival. We found a bag of cleaning materials and did what we could. We didn't like it at all. We leave there with a friend of mine. And we spent there only two nights but that was enough not to go there again. Well anyway it's not so important. The thing is that there was no bedclothes at all!!! There were only two towels in our room. Very old furniture. No adapters for electricity. Too... More »
I really enjoyed my vacation in Inna's room. It was easy to come in, the area is great and safe, with a lot of shop, laundry, park, restaurants and the subway clooser. The room was big and clean, the kitchen great, the bathroom was ok....it could be more clean, but nothing terrible. I never met Inna, I've talking to her by phone, but was very nice and disponsable. For sure I'll do it again! Thank u inna
The space was adequate but not very clean at all. Even though we arrived a day late, the refrigerator and pantries had not been emptied of food from the previous guests -- there was old meat and take out sitting in the fridge. Furthermore, there were cockroaches all through the cabinets and occasionally we would discover them in the bathroom, near the bed (!) and in other areas. Aside from these obvious blemishes, the general cleanliness of the space was perhaps up to "college dorm"... More »
Original Beauty!2 is a nice apartment in a neighborhood that can be better – loud music starts at 10 pm, so a sleeping pill is a good idea. Some improvements to the apartment will make it more habitable – a sign on the door (there are three apartments on the third floor and the choice is not obvious), nightstands for the bed with lamps (only a large lamp on the ceiling otherwise); a teapot/kettle to warm up water; the second chair; another set of linens; and a hook or two in the bathroom. Good location for getting to the subway. Right near Columbia and Morningside park. Very easy to check in and out. The room wasn't as clean as we were expecting and the shared bathroom and kitchen was a little odd. Overall a good experience, but certainly not luxury accommodation.
Inna is sweet, responsive and has a great sense of humour to boot... We stayed at 'Columbia' and found everything to be better than expected. We were actually 'upgraded' from the 'Brownstone at no additional cahrge... Will contact Inna again on my next visit to the Big Apple, take a big bite...
The apartment was clean and the location was great.

I don't really know what the problem is with Ms. Sobel and her apt. rentals. She has a great opportunity to help others and also make a good living but in the meantime she seems to frustrate people repeatedly. The location is great and the price is great but that seems to be about all that is right.
Well it is exactly what you would expect for this price range. I've stayed one week in 1F. Nothing "gorgeous" but exactly as the pictures, fairly large, clean, convenient. The area is safe, there is a Supermarket, a cleaner, a pharmacy right across the street. And it is 10 seconds away from the Subway. Otherwise, 148th St. is far, very far, even if the express train takes you downtown in less than 20 mins. The neighborhood is not particularly Interesting, there is nothing much to... More »

We (two adults with two children from Aruba) stayed in 2F for one week and we loved it! It was very clean, the beds are comfortable and it's so close to everything! The subway, restaurants and shops are around the corner. We loved the restaurant Manna's near The Magic Johnson theater a few streets away. I was not sure what to expect when I booked my stay in 4R. This room in Upper Harlem was two doors down from the subway station, clean, and free of bed bugs. I was highly satisfied. Great directions, helpful advice about parking, clean apartment, easy key picking-up/dropping off arrangements, good location (very close to metro, near wonderful local shops). Would stay in Original Beauty again!
We didn't meet Inna. Key was in the bottom of an open mailbox and fortunately the non-resident building super spotted us and gave us the key. Apartment was adequate. Bed sheets were extremely thin; bathroom could be cleaner. The price was very reasonable. The location was great, 2 blocks from our daughter & son-in-law's apartment. We will consult AirBnB the next time we're traveling to NYC.
Lovely apartment located right next to the subway. The neighborhood is probably not for everybody but my wife and I found it to be fine. The was a convenient grocery store across the street. The apartment was clean and well set up. Our only issue was that the shower did not have a curtain which meant that there was water on the ground everyday. Overall a great experience well worth the price.
I had a really good experience. The bunk beds were so comfortable i slept excellent. The area was amazing for shopping; it had all kinds of stores and shopping tables. The apartment was clean and inna even left towels(good ones)!!! The only thing i can say negative about the place was that the bathroom was shared with the apartment next door. We were unaware of that fact. But yet still they never bothered us after they told us the bathroom was shared. I am definately staying in this apartment... More »
My family of 3 stayed here the first weekend in October 2010. I found this to be great value. We were in a 1 bedroom apt that had been beautifully remodeled. It was a decent place to stay...nothing to rave about but nothing to groan about either. It was clean, quiet, and safe. The bathroom was definitely being used with a sanitary standard you'd expect from a place being shared by a bunch of travelers. I'm not sure how often it gets cleaned. Also we left our toilet paper in there and someone actually stole it! On the other hand there were lots of shampoos and lotions hanging around. Overall I was just thankful there weren't any bedbugs.
Thank you very much, great value for money. I was only there one night and the light was broken in the bathroom- other than that all was perfect
We had a great and memorable stay at Inna's place - 3F Columbia! There was a little slip up with our first night and we were put in the wrong room but it was easily remedied the next day and communication with inna was always straightforward and prompt. The positives first: The location of these brownstones is very convinient: just a minute walk away from "A" line subway which if it is "express" will take you to downtown in under 15 minutes and very close to the busline M60 which runs to La Guardia. We (me and my parents) stayed in Inna's apartment for three nights. POSITIVE: 145th street is an express subway station, so the apartment is very accessible both late at night and on the weekends. The Studio was freshly renovated and very conveniently located. We didn't meet Inna in person, but she had someone right there to help if needed. Huge room, i loved the building and the neighborhood even though i think gentrification is quickly destroying the soul of Harlem. Great place to stay, at a very good price, i would definitely come back!
The morning of our arrival, Inna left us a message ON MY CELL saying the hot water in the building (369 4R) was not working. She sent us to another address which was totally unacceptable to us as the building was in the same block as a pawn shop. We called. We told her we would take the apartment we had reserved (369 4R) without hot water. She told us to pick up the key labeled (361 4R). This seemed confusing. I said, "Our reservation was for 369 4R." Very bad experience: Inna was not there when we arrived, and because she overbooked the place we had to move in another flat in 145th street in the middle of Harlem. She didn't take any time to come see us to apologize! For somebody who always wanted to help others, it was really rude!
I recently stayed in the Gorgeous 4R Apt located on St. Nicholas Ave. for three days. Ms. Inna was very pleasant and accommodating with arrival and departure times. The apt. mgr. was very friendly. I recently spend a couple of days in NYC with my 10 year old daughter and we stayed at the Gorgeous 1F. First, I have to say that Inna was very responsive and accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with. My experience at the apartment was very much like the other reviewers here. Small, conveniently located apartment. Just steps away from a subway station - which you can hear running beneath the building. Kinda cool actually. As others have noted, the place could use a good cleaning, but it was... More »
Place was great and it was everything we expected. It was in a nice area of Harlem close to all the shops and restaurants and very close to the subway. We didnt have an AC unit the first night but simply called and got one our next couple of nights...Thanks again and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Thank you Inna. Everything was perfect. This is exactly what we needed: the underground in two steps, a grocery store opposite, the park in 10 minutes walk. Special thanks from our cat, Felix. Inna is one of the few who agreed to shelter us with our pet. The next time when we'll be in NY, we know whom to contact. ))
Inna was a great host. Very easy to get a hold of if we needed anything. Had a funny encounter when trying to get into the place at 10:30 at night. Ran into her father who was there fixing a sink so that was a bit of a surprise! Other than that, the place was good for what we needed which was just a shower and a bed to sleep in. Seemed like a fairly safe neighborhood although I felt much better about my husband being with me. Will use her again next time we are up in NY.
I needed an apt for a group of 19. We rented three apartments. The two in the same building that had beds for 8 each were great! They were simple and comfortable. The rooms had a nice large bay windows. I would definitely use them again. With that said. A few things to make a great rental property better would be more complete drapes or shades. A better air conditioner. We were there during a heat wave in nyc and it was a little bit warmer than we would have liked. I bought a fan to... More »
I have been to numerous youth hostels in many countries and this one is the worst. The room and the (shared) bathroom were very dirty and smelly. There weren't any blankets (I had to call her to request it- Some guy stopped by and left with dirty and stinky blankets). The sheet and pillow cases were made of cheap synthetic fabric that wouldn't stick to the bed and pillows. There were empty boxes on and around the closet along with an old dog cushion in it that made the whole room unbearably... More »
Originally booked he columbia 4F apartment and ended up being overbooked so settled for the "Gorgeous 1F" apt. Stayed at the 147th and StNicholas 1F apartment Apartment was okay, fairly clea and convinient except i would receommend changing the blinds in the kitchen because everyone outside can see inside the apartment through the kitchen. other than that the apartment was okay. the location is right next to the subway but for those who do not like random people hanging out right next to the... RE: apartment Columbia (361 123W st 1F) We were satisfied with the service of renting the apartment, but the apartment was very dirty and the fact that it is located by the garbage dump didn't help. there were also alot bugs in the apt properly due to the nearby garbage dump outside.
i really felt like a local ...its in Harlem but i didn't feel threatened at all walking from the subway. People were friendly enough. I could use an air condioner as it was pretty (email hidden) Post grad students from Columbia next door.
Our experience with Inna was AMAZING. Due to a late notice of cancellation from another airbnb hostess just 9 hours before we were flying from California to New York--we thought we were going to be homeless. But Inna came to our rescue and accommodated us last minute with a great apartment that included brand new sheets, air conditioning (which she had her assistant install for us that same night), cable, and fast internet. Inna was very helpful when we had any questions and was extremely... More »
Inna responded right away and all communications were quick and friendly. The apartment was right near the train and the key pick up was very easy. The apartment was pretty clean and neat -- my only criticism is that the mold smell mentioned by one of the other reviewers was present and somewhat unpleasant (though to be honest I didn't notice it after a while).
The good part is that Inna is very nice and very responsive to your needs. When I asked for an iron she got one sent over. When I complained about rodents she offered to put me in another room. The bad part is that the room isn't really suitable for guests. No TV. No Trash can. No table or chairs to sit anything down on. No iron until I asked for one and then the iron was rusted and stained my shirt. The window is right beside the trashcans outside so the room SMELLS... More »
fairly incident free, except I didn't realize that "Sunday morning service" means 7AM Gospel that just goes on and on. -ilya
The first impression is not the best. The outside of the building and the entrance are dirty and not very promising. The flat itself is quite clean (the sheets could be cleaner - and we could have an extra set of sheets and towels as we stayed for 11 nights) and spacious . The location is very convenient - very close to the metro station . The only real problem was the Internet connection as there was no wi-fi . From the very first beginning we had asked Inna about the code but she said that... More »
Nice and tidy apartment. About 3 paces from the subway!
The whole airbnb experience with Inna was superb. She's super well organized and communicates really fast - mostly with SMS so it wasn't hard to arrange a meeting to get possession of the apartment keys. We had 1F, it's exactly as described. It suited our needs but is very minimalistic. She has more expensive places to rent for a higher cost. Inna will help you make the most out of your stay in NYC. I saved her phone number for the next visit :)
We arrived earlier than expected and Inna was incredibly accommodating. Within five minutes of calling her, someone came with the keys in hand. She is highly recommended!
Overall the room was fine for the price. Bed was comfortable but sheets didn't quite fit and were kind of scratchy. As a single middle aged woman I had concerns about the security. Front door was left unlocked. When I asked Inna about this she said to lock it, which I did and was then woken up by other guests throwing things at my window at 2 a.m. to ask me to come down and let them in. So I'm not sure what was going on about guests getting front door keys. Also the AC window unit was... More »
The first night we noticed there was a water leak in the bathroom: (website hidden) It happened every time the upstairs neighbor took a shower. Oh, and there were also mice. Apart from that, it was all right.
This was a really lovely apartment, quiet, close to the Subway, comfy bed, great AC. ...only problem was there were roaches. Having grown up near NYC, lived in Chicago and now in the land of the Palmetto bug (aka GIANT roaches), I was really hoping to not see those little German roaches but I did. I think a quick call to the Exterminator or some Raid will eradicate this. ...all in all, I'd do this again as it was worth the money, was comfy and neat, safe and secure and close to... More »
The place we stayed at was very clean and nice for what we paid for. The only complaint really is that we did not have a front door key for the building that the apartment was in. One night we returned at 3 in the morning and we were locked out of the building. We had no phones or no way to contact Inna. But luckily not too long after we had arrived, someone who lived in the building showed up and let us in.
Great location, soft bed, towels, air-con but that's it. Better than a hostel but not as good as a hotel. You'll get what you pay for.
This unit is a decent place to stay the night. It was clean, secure and the entrance was two doors up from the 145th St Subway station exit on Nicholas Ave. Arrangements with Inna were as simple as one could ask. The only reason for the three star review was the air conditioning. There is one window unit in the living room leaving the bedroom far too hot on the July evening I was there. We temporarily moved the mattress from the bed onto the floor in front of the A/C and it was fine. For... More »
Inna was great on my stay in NYC. We ran into a few problems but they were worked out in a timely manner. She worked with me from day 1 to make sure we enjoyed our stay in her unit. I will stay in any of units.
I have used Inna for all my trips to NYC and she has been fabulous. She is VERY responsive. Whether I am booking at the last minute (a few hours before arrival) or we need to solve a problem, she is always accessible or someone from her team is on site to problem solve. The apartments are conveniently located to the subway and surrounded by many shops and restaurants. The apartments are clean, no nonsense and always have the essential cable tv and wi-fi. Total privacy and flexibility, problem... More »
We had a good time at the apartment. Positive aspects: everything was well arranged for our arrival, the apartment was clean, nice beds, shower and toilet OK, and we also liked to stay in this part of Harlem (quite interesting neighbourhood). Less positive: the apartment was quite dark (little daylight) as it was located in the rear, but as we spent all of our time outside that was not much of a problem for us. The only thing we found really wanting was the equipment of the kitchen: if you... More »
We arrived at 4F apart, we dropped our bags and we note that the a/c is just in one room and is not cleaned. We don´t like the apart, we have my parents with us (65 y) and did not have elevator. my family ani had a great visit in N.y. and staying at Inna's b&b made it possible. A nice place clean and comfortable. thanks Inna
I along with 10 colleagues stayed on two floors at Brownstone on the Park. We were attending a teacher training at Columbia University and wanted something within walking distance. Overall, Brownstone on the Park is a safe, quiet place to stay. We never once felt scared and worried about leaving and returning to the place late at night. It's within walking distance of shops and restaurants along 125th street and right across the street from the gorgeous Morningside Park. The A,B,C, and 1... More »
Inna's place was in a great location as I was taking a course at Columbia University. It was a cute little place on the third floor. I was a little concerned about the area, but the apartment was painted brightly and was decorated nicely. After being there for a few days I felt at home in the area. The service I received however was not that great. Staying in a place that is not a hotel I was well aware that I wouldn't have all of the daily services a hotel provides. However, the apartment... While this flat is in the heart of Harlem and probably not ideal in location for evening strolls it serves well as a place to stay for economical and clean lodging. We happened to arrive on one of NYC's hottest days in July of 2010 and wished the room had been equipped with a larger fan, but the shower was lovely and helped to cool us down. We stayed in 2F, which had a private bath. The beds were adequate, but not ideal. The smaller of the two beds was a bit too small and wobbly for our... More »
I booked a family trip to New York in July 2010 and rented 2 units. I received a notice that I was being laid off from my job so I needed to cut my expenses. I have to say the apartment we rented was perfect for what I needed. This was my first trip to NY with my 13 yr son. My mother and three others arrived the next day. It was very easy to get around without a car. The entrance to the subway station is about 100 ft away. Note if you want a cab, they are grey or black Lincoln Towncars not... More »

When we finally got into the apartment--2F--after a series of mix ups, we dropped our bags and went into the city. When we got back and had a good look at our studio apartment, we realized that nothing had been cleaned. There were hairs all over the bathroom and mouse feces in the kitchen. When we asked Inna to send over people to clean, after showing the people exactly HOW to clean, it was much improved after the hour spent with cleaning and sweeping. Inna was great but she needs to hire... More »

Since the price was really low, we did'nt expect too much of this apartment. The location is really good, just a few meters from the subway and with a grocery store just across the street. Don't miss the genuine jazz club "St. Nicks Pub", just a few blocks up the street. The apartment was really quite modern but not very clean. The wifi was not working properly and we also had problems with the stove. We noticed Inna about this but it took about a week before the stove was fixed. So we... More »
Inna was awesome! Never met her, but she was very quick to respond to all texts. She upgraded us to a bigger apartment next door, and we were very pleased. Harlem felt quite safe, and it was about a 20 minute sub ride to Times Square. It was very clean in the apartment, and she also provided fresh linens. I will definitely stay here again next time we're in NY!
I tried to join Inna via mail and phone few days before our stay and I got no feedback from her. we planned on staying the saturday night in columbia 4F, and on the saturday morning she finally contacted me to ask me to relocate to another place, in fact without leaving me the choice as she "had no other appartment avalaible". Everything went smoothly: the apartment was neat and clean, and very convenient from the Subway. I would definitely stay again!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. We didn't meet Inna, but she was very accommodating to our requests and was very prompt in replying to our messages. We were at 3F where we had to share the kitchen and bathroom with people in the other end of the hallway. The apartment was fine, I enjoyed staying in a private location, gives a different impression than staying in a hotel, location okay, very close to subway which brings you directly to the city center in 20 minutes, you just need to be aware that it's basically in harlem and not so many restaurants around. The only thing I would have liked Inna to do differently: put more pictures up and be clear about the apartment size etc. - we thought we have one bedroom and a living room with 2 real... More »
I hate to leave a bad review. Unfortunately, I have to. The price for the apartment was perfect... too perfect i guess. Upon arrival to our apartment the keys in the mailbox did not correspond with the apartment assigned. Inna did try to reach us to explain to us that there was an occupant still in our reserved apt and that she found us another place to stay, but we did not get the message in time and ended up three girls - 11:30 pm in a sketchy neighborhood with baggage at a pay phone. I think your experience will very much depend on which apartment you get. This is not your typical airbnb situation where you are staying in someone's home. Inna has several apartments across the Harlem area. There was a mixup with my apartment. It took some assertiveness to get it fixed, but everything was fine when I did. I don't think you can necessarily expect to get the apartment for which you see the photos. Mine was nice (3R, forgot which building). But I saw another one that would... More »
Inna, Thank you for accomodating my friend and I DAY OF looking for a place to crash during a layover in NY. The accomodations were clean, simple, and the stay was restful. It was nice to stay in this apartment in a safe neighborhood. Close to the subway, lots of grocery stores around this area where to buy/eat, some of them are opened 24 hs what it's very convenient. If you are interested to live the Gospel, I highly recommend to go to the church around the corner. Thanks Inna for everything!
The 3 of us originally booked a 5-day stay at GORGEOUS! 3F, but Inna switched us to APT 3R, due to prior guest requests for an extended stay. The place wasn't the cleanest, but since we were in NYC to have fun, we made the best of our living quarters. The apartment started growing on us, because we didn't have to share anything with other guests. ... More »

The apartment was nice, spacious and in good condition. It wasn't the cleanest but nothing unbearable. Location wise, there's pros and cons. The subway station is about 4 doors away, and it doesn't take long to go down town at all. But i still wished I had chosen somewhere nearer to the down town area. There are lots of small stores and a supermarket across the street so we cooked our own food. Overall, if you're traveling with lots of people and want some sort of a apartment, you can go with... The only thing missing was some toilet paper, but a box of tissues was provided. Overall this was a good decision.

We stayed at 361 W 123rd st. The room was very dirty, with garbage under the beds. The sheets and towels were questionably clean. We came back one night to a giant rat scurrying around the apt. We called Inna as we had no idea what to do, and she said she would said someone right over to help us. That didn't happen, and she did not follow up with us to see how we had managed. I would not recommend this place.
Stayed at 361 W 123rd Street, Apt 4R I'm going to review two different things: the manager and the facility. Dealing with the poor management is the main reason we left a low rating. Upon our arrival, we found the apartment to be double-booked. We weren't notified before our landing in NYC. We were then bumped to another apartment, which was still occupied. We were bumped a third time, and hours after our arrival were finally in an apartment. Inna sometimes communicated through her... More »

I had a perfect stay at Brownstone on the park 2f. Inna i a helpfull host. Even when she had overbooked, and I had to move to Madison she made the shift without problems. Madison was a perfect room as well. Next time in NY, I will contact Inna again.
Inna was very patient with our arrival time. Our bus arrived much later than expected, and she arranged us to get keys from a neighbor. The place is clean, and comfortable. However, there is no wireless, contrary to the advertisement. There is only 1 cup, and the A/C was very loud. Overall, I am very happy with the experience.
We stayed in Brownstone and found it just fine. Very easy access to subway, food and markets. RW
Absolutely brilliant. We was party of 3 adults (28 33 and 39 y o ) and very tight in budget. I loved staying in Inna's brownstone building. We stayed in her Columbia brownstone. It was just us three girls and we felt safe and comfortable and had a lot of fun. Brownstone 4R on 123rd st: The anonymity of a hotel but without the high price - Have to echo previous reviews - Inna responsive until you actually get there. Myself and 2 others waiting for 20 mins outside to find out how to get keys. Not what you need after a long-haul flight. Stayed in 1F. Convenient place to stay. Parked rental car on street nearby. Walked three blocks to several nice restaurants. Near Columbia University. Shares a bathroom and kitchen with other apartment. Quiet over night during the weekday visit. Cable TV but cable box not working during visit.
IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! LOVED THE PLACE AND IF WE HAD ANY PROBLEMS WE'D CALL INNA AND SHE'D HAVE EVERYTHING SITUATED BEFORE THE END OF THE DAY. WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN =)
Great room! We had also a kitchen and a bathroom! Room was very clean! Recommended!
Nice and clean apartment. Clean sheets and towels, everything was prepared. There is near the subway and bus and 24/7 grocery store. Near the appartment is wery cute music club with reasonable prices. I think there is not location for unccompanied girl, but for couple is OK and we feel safety. Thanks
There are no surprises here, the apartment is exactly as the pictures look. We reported our heat never came on, and Inna sent someone right over to fix it. Our only issue was that after the 3rd day we lost internet service and it was never fixed. Don't know if that was a cable problem, though. It is right next to the subway, but we rarely heard it and it was not a problem like some guests have made out (and we were on the first floor). Good deal for the money.
Good location - Close to Subway & a Bikram studio. Main drawback: strong smell of cigarettes.. Other than that, place was clean. We felt safe. Would not stay here again, would be more than happy to pay more for a different location (LES/UWS/Chelsea) & indoor-smell-spectrum.
Outside of a mix-up with the keys, the three of us had a very nice stay at 1F St. Nicholas Ave. in Harlem. It is steps away from the 145th & St. Nicholas Ave subway, extremely convenient for getting around NYC. The apartment is a one bedroom with two double beds with very high ceilings and new bamboo floors and original Victorian details. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean enough.
real good, in a part of the city i know so it was walking distance to a lot of places i needed to go. Convenient to A train as well, so accessible to whole city. Clean and roomy. small issue with heating but that was sorted promptly and efficiently would definitely use again and recommend to others
We stayed at the "Original Beauty", W 145th St. end of March, 2010. Inna was helpful, yes, but the apartment was not what we expected--small, only one bed and a futon couch, and not very clean. But, of much greater concern was the strong odor of mold which we controlled by leaving the windows open enough to circulate air. Then, after it started raining the ceiling over the stove and kitchen counter started leaking and collapsing, leaving dirty water and plaster debris on the stove, counter... More »

Also, the church is mentioned for Sunday mornings, which turned out to be a gospel revival starting at 7 and going on until noon (which might have been because it was Palm Sunday). The room was very conveniently located to the subway (to the express lines!) and the place was clean and... More »
Before the trip Inna was really responsive, but when we got there, it was a little hard to get a hold of her. We phoned several times and eventualy we got hold of her and got the keys of the appartment. It wasnt ready yet so we dropped our bags and went downtown. When we returned later the night the place was made up and new towels was provided. We had a great stay and with better communication I would higly recommend the place.
The apartment was great! We arrived after midnight and had no trouble getting the keys even then. Definitely recommended.
Brilliant price and a perfect sized apartment for the two of us, good bathroom (really good shower) and kitchen. Good location, close to shops and the subway. It was nice to come back to the apartment after a day out, cook and relax in front of the television. Only things that let it down and were just a bit disappointing were that the sheets on the bed weren't great, there were no bowls in the kitchen so we made do with eating out of cups or saucepans, and unfortunately we were unable to... The accommodations were good. For the price it was great. Location was perfect since it was a short walk to the 125th express line A/D lines.
I stayed 5 nights Gorgeous 1R with my father. Very good value for money, the subway and the supermaket are really close to the building. Concerning the subway there is a choice between the express line, or "Local". The apartment is quite large with a functional kitchen, two double beds. Only the flat curtain of the window is fairly short and that lets in light at dawn. I think back this summer with my husband and my children this time!
Inna is very serious on making ur whole experience memeroble.she a very attentive host who has everything u could quit need.very nice two experiences
We stayed in a room on the ground floor; not spotless, but fine for a couple nights. Checking in and out was easy, and Inna was responsive when I contacted her. A fine experience altogether.
Decent apartment located in Harlem and close to the subway and Columbia.
Inna and her husband were very professional and flexible for our NYC journey! Although I was a little sceptical about the Harlem factor at first, this location allowed me to discover a less commercial part of Manhattan, with a safe community feel, nearby subways. The apt was clean and spacious enough for the 3 of us. The kitchen was almost fully equipped; we were short on plates and glasses but it wasn't an issue since we mostly ate out. The Internet connection worked like a charm. I'd... More »
It was really a nice experience! C'était une très bonne expérience! All was ok and there was no problem. Tout est ok et il n'y avait aucun problème.
Great place to stay and had a wonderful experience with Inna!
Inna was very easy to get ahold of and the bed was soooo comfortable! The studio was spacious for NYC standards and clean! Very close to subway and we didn't run into issues with plumbing etc. Definetly will return when in the city!
This is a good, clean, private place to stay at a moderate price for NYC. When you go to check in, you need a telephone and Inna's number in order to connect with someone who will unlock it and show you the place. It is garden level with the only window looking out on the sidewalk, covered with a velvet curtain.
We stayed at 3F at Brownstone on the Park, which was great and convenient! The place was clean and spacious. Inna provided plush towels and clean linens. The pillows and bedding were comfortable. And we had no problem with the shared kitchen and bathroom. GETTING AROUND: This place is a 3-minute walk to the subway lines, which takes you to Times Square (about 15 minutes away), Chelsea, SoHo, etc. It's a block from the M60 bus ($2.25 fare) to/from LaGuardia Airport (about a 1/2 hour... We stayed in 1F at Brownstone on the Park for two nights and had a nice time. The location was excellent and we enjoyed the neighborhood quite a bit. The place met my expectations. Inna was friendly on the phone and accomodating (we were able to leave our bags until 2pm since our train was leaving late in the afternoon). The place had clean sheets and towels and the temperature was comfortable. There was a small table and the closet had hangers if you want to hang up your clothes. We had... More »
We stayed in Gorgeous 1F. The apartment was very conveniently placed right down the street from the subway, and it was surprisingly quiet and very friendly. We were able to park on the street for all three days. At your first viewing, the outside of the apartment is not truly indicative of the neighborhood. It is one of the more modest buildings, and as you walk about through the neighborhood, you will feel the history of Sugar Hill and the glory days of Harlem. There is a wonderfully... More »
We stayed in 2F, and i fell in love with it. It was beatiful and well maintained. The futon was comfortable, and it was warm. The only problem we had was sharing a bathroom with the other people staying in 2R. With 3 of us, and 4 or more of them, it was quite difficult to get in there for even a few minutes, and almost impossible to get a shower. It certainly didn't discourage me from staying there again. I loved how conveniently located it was to everything we needed.
Inna was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. She was very quick to respond to emails, and phone messages. It was a no fuss way to rent an apt. in NYC. The Apt. itself was comfortable, clean and even though it lacked a few minor things (ie: more toilet paper, a dish rag, more plates/cups etc), it had everything you needed. The grocery store across the street was perfect, and the subway (2 steps away) was a quick trip anywhere you needed to go. We were supposed to stay in 1F, but the... More »
The staying is very comfortable, and the room is very clean. Inna is very easy to communicate with, and she's very considerate. The apartment has wireless high speed internet very fast too. I highly recommend it.
We had a nice stay in the appartement. It is near a subway station so it easy to join. And visiting NY was great.
We booked 2 nights at 1F but Inna was kind enough to upgrade us to another unit with its own kitchen and bathroom. Gorgeous! It was a wonderful experience having an entire apt as compared to living in a hotel. The location was great as well - not at all dodgy and very well linked. The M60 bus takes you directly to La Guardia which is extremely convenient if you're heading straight to/from the airport and the subway station is one of the few stations where the express train makes a stop hence... My husband and I spent 5 nights in 3F. We knew going in it was a bargain price, and not mid-town realestate, so we were prepared for the location, etc. The neighborhood looked dodgy but actually felt very safe. A good grocery store, pharmacy, laundromat, liquor store, and all-night shop were right across the street, and terrific subway access just next door. The apt was quite overheated, and the bed was not comfortable, altho the futon was good. An excellent shower. The problem--the... More »
We stayed in 2F and 2R. The rooms were very spacious. The only problem was that the front door was a bit difficult to unlock, and so it took a couple of minutes standing out in the cold. Overall the experience was very good.
Room was clean and comfortable. Very close to the Harlem 125th st. station and felt very safe. The location and price made it perfect for our needs - my boyfriend and I had a weekend in the city and just used it to crash at night. We didn't make much use of the kitchen, but it was very convenient to have the use of a fridge. The building is old but the room was clean. The front door can be a little tricky to open - which can be very inconvenient when coming home in the wee hours of the... More »
it was truly a great experience, very helpful, and resourceful!, i definitely recommend Inna!
the place was nice and comfortable the apt is really nice .Whenever I needed something or had a question I would call her and she would send someone to fix it or come to check she is really attentive and very organized I really liked being able to negotiate with her to stay the weekend and is quiet and safe .It is close to commuting and there are close public areas around
We stayed in 3F for a night. It isn't the Grand Hyatt but it was everything advertised. Looked exactly like the photos in the ads. Inna runs a clean, well maintained and reasonably priced operation. No problem with the keys or contacting her. As long as she maintains her prices and keeps up with the maintenance, we'll definitely be back next time we need accommodation in New York. We had a car, so travelling across town was not a problem. Taxis and train stops in abundance where the apartment... More »
Stayed at 2F Brownstone on the Park at 123rd St. Best things about this place are 1) old school radiators that keep you toasty no matter how cold it is outside and 2) the express A train - We were up and down from the East village in less than 30 minutes - quick walk from the metro. This is my second stay with Inna - (different apt) - but she's great - super easy to coordinate with - and never a problem to leave luggage until the afternoon. Highly recommended - thanks!!
Inna's place was perfect to stay in NYC! I came with a group of girls and we all agreed it was a simple, perfect stay. Just a block from the subway and neighborhood was safe. Thanks so much Inna! I would def rent from you again! It was a great experience :) P.S. the only negative was the loud heater! But atleast it was warm!) :)
Ina was really nice. She provided great directions and it was really convenient checking in and checking out. The room was basic, and we appreciated the private bath and shared kitchen. It was also extremely convenient to the subway and a bunch of quick restaurants. We did miss any type of personal contact as the checking in/out process happened as quick conversations over the phone. Having said that, it's understandable with this kind of agreement. However a quick welcome letter or... More »
We stayed at "ORIGINAL BEAUTY!! W 145th St, New York, NY, United States." It was not hard to find parking, the apartment was clean and quiet. Cozy in the winter, perfect for 2 people.
this place was top notch! best stay i could have asked for in a beautiful city! very warm despite the cold outside, and very comfortable! inna is also very flexible, and we were able to stay an extra two days. would stay here again on future visits
Everything was great. Would 100% stay there again
I stay at Gorgeous 1R and the room was really dirty. This apartment was located in a really bad area where there is nothing to buy or do. There is a 30 min subway ride from this place to any of the turist attractions. This place is over price and it is not confortable at all. The heather was on all the time and the place was really hot without any controler for the heather.
We enjoyed our stay in New York very much. We rented Columbia II and everything was how it is described. The subway and various bus stops were close to the accommodation. We will definitely come back again. Thank you Inna!
We stayed at the Brownstone unit on 123rd and Manhattan for New Year's Eve. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay at Inna's. Really, how often can you find a place for under $1200 total for 4 nights for 8 people total during NEW YEAR'S in Manhattan? And the location's not sketchy, even though it's in Harlem. Inna was always very prompt with emails or the phone and was very accommodating. We rented out 2 units and it comfortably fit all 8 of us. The location was great - just 2 blocks... More »
Everything was great! Thanks!
We stayed at "Original Beauty" over New Year's and it was great. The beds were comfortable and the towels were great. The bathroom was a bit cold because air gets in through the window. Nevertheless, the apartment is true to the pictures and we were happy with it.
We stayed in Columbia 2F for 8 nights and we really enjoyed the appartment. It was clean and as described. Very close to the subway station. I strongly recommend Inna's studios, and I'll think of her next time I come to NYC. Thank you Inna.
Inna was quick to respond to my request and very responsive through the process (picking up keys, questions about the room etc.). The rooms were clean, well furnished, with everything you could possibly need. A really excellent experience.
3 Friends and I stayed at Columbia II the week of new years. We parked fairly easily, the apartment was very tidy. We only needed a place to sleep and get ready in the morning so it was just enough room for 4 people to do that. The stairs are a little old, so be careful going up and down! Really the only negative thing to say is that it was hard to get in touch with Inna a week before our visit. In our past conversations, Inna had quickly responded. However, we did not get in touch with... More »
I forgot to leave a review when I stayed at Inna's place almost a year ago, but it was absolutely wonderful! She upgraded me to an even greater room and the experience was incredible. Thanks again and sorry it took so long for me to write the recommendation!
Original Beauty was a great place for my family to crash after exploring NYC! A little far from the action, but very close to the subway, and a quick ride on the express trains to anywhere downtown. Clean apartment, nice linens, warm, comfortable beds, even some tea and coffee in the cupboards. A nice little convenience shop at the corner for some food and essentials. Thanks, Inna.
Owner was very helpful & great with all contact, the apartment on 123rd is in a great location. Our problems would be the lack of lighting as apart from the main bulbs there was only one lamp for the whole apartment. We did ask for another lamp but it did not happen so we bought candles. The place is quite warm but two of the radiators did not work & where not fixed during our stay. The apartment & especially hallway is quite dusty so I would not recommend this to anyone with... We spend four days in the flat columbia 4F, It was very nice, the flat is realy at 2 min of the subway and everything was perfect (except the wifi wasn't working). I will do it again thanks to Inna.

Great studio with a lot of space. Two blocks from the subway makes this a outstanding location. Inna arrange everything for me and the place was extremely neat.
We had such a great time at the Original Beauty. The staff was very courteous and really cleaned up the place for our use. It was like home away from home with a clean kitchen, bathroom, and tv. I'll definitely use the place again and highly recommend it! Thanks, Inna for running an affordable and clean place like this.
Pictures looked more spacious than real thing, could of used more coffee cups, sheets very thin, worse pillows ever, need more towels and toilet paper. Need more outlets, smelled like fuel oil just inside door but adequate.
We had a wonderful stay at Inna's apt! We were so pleased with the location and set up that we booked another night!! The next visit to NYC will be booked with Inna - she is very sweet and helpful! Thank You
I loved staying at Inna's apartment. It was comfortable, spacious, clean, and in a great location. I will definitely consider her studios next time I come to the city.
The room was clean and large. I was surprised how quiet it was at night. My only negative comments is that directions once inside the building could have been a little more express. I was in Brownstone on the Park 2R. The door to the apartment is marked "B", which is a little confusing. I had to phone Inna to make sure I did not knock on strangers' doors at 10:00 p.m. when I arrived. Once in, everything was great.
She is the person that you have to know if you are going to stay in NY. Thank you very much Inna for your options and fast, easy solutions..
I received a phone call from Inna a few hours before we were supposed to check in that they were having "lock issues" in the building/unit we were booked for, and that we'd be staying in a unit down the street instead. I don't know what listing it would be, but the unit we were moved to was a full studio apartment with a private bath and kitchen (which the one we'd booked did not), but from the pictures of "Brownstone on the Park 2R", the apartment we were in wasn't as nice, and had... This was my first time staying in NYC and I could not have picked a better place. The apartment was charming and clean I and Inna was pleasant to deal with. I definitely stay here again and will recommend it to family and friends.
Lucky 8 was a nice place, in an old house in a quiet street in Harlem, conveniently close to the subway station and to a supermarket. We occupied it with 4 people so it was quite spacious. We haven't seen Inna but only spoken over the phone. Nevertheless contacts were good and she was flexible in the time we had to leave the apartment, so we could leave our luggage until we had to go to tha airport.
the neighborhood is safe and the apartment is beautiful and clean. She answered the phone everytime I called and she really cares................
We enjoyed our 2 night stay at GORGEOUS! 3F during Thanksgiving. Subway is next to the building. Apartment is located on the 3rd floor. It was comfortable with a kitchen, fridge and a TV. Our host was very nice and was always responsive to our calls and emails.
I spent 3 nights in NYC at GORGEOUS! 1F with some friends over the Thankgiving holiday week. This was the frist time any of us had gotten a room through airbnb but it worked out well for us. Inna was helpful although very laid back. Not fancy, not fussy, but very comfortable and quiet. Inna promptly responded to all emails/phone calls. Check-in & -out were painless; the bed and futon bed were comfy, bathroom clean, and kitchen just handy enough to ease our travel. This was a very good place at a great price! I will definitely stay at one of Inna's places again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Brownstone on the Park. Amazing value and the location was great. We had our own kitchen since no one was in the room next to us and were only a block away from the subway so we could get around easily. The area is relatively safe and the building itself is quite secure. No problem with getting the keys and WiFi was available. I highly recommend it for travelers on a budget.
The studio was pretty nice and clean, the pictures are pretty accurate too. I really liked the apartment and it felt very comfortable. I'm big in cleanness and this one met my expectations. Inna has dishes, cups, silverware and pots.. pretty much anything you need if you want to prepare a meal. However the neighborhood didn't seem very safe, especially at night. I stayed in Brownstone on the park 1F. The accommodation is simple, but it was great having a little kitchen. The booking process was easy, and Inna replied promptly to all my e mail questions.
I stayed at Original Beauty and it was wonderful!!! I will stay there again when in NY for sure, great location, spacious studio, great service, the only thing was the heat didn't come until until around 3/4am and so when at the apartment in the evening I was freezing. I ended up catching a cold from going to bed cold and waking up sweating at 4am, but apart from that I loved it!!!!
The apartment was okay, very similar to a hostel set-up, but I will warn you not to stay there in the winter! It was freezing and our heat never came on. The first night we were there, I slept in Ugg boots, 5 shirts, and a hat. The next night, our neighbors let us borrow a space heater and it was much more tolerable. For the price, it wasn't too bad, but I will probably look for something a little nicer next time. The location was cool. Harlem is the best!
For the price the accomodation is great value and fairly clean. The shower takes a bit of getting use too. Location wise it was not too bad at all as it only takes 10-15 mins to get to midtown on the express line. However I wouldnt reccomend going out at night in the area by yourself as it does'nt feel that safe. On the plus side it only costs bout $15-20 to catch a cab from midtown. Overall it was very pleasant and enjoyable stay.
Me and my wife Mette stayed at Columbia II just of Amsterdam Avenue in Manhatten this autumn. It was perfect. Clean and good. So we can only recommend this place for any traveller who wants a good and fairly cheap place while you stay in New York.
Good neighbourhood, and nice landlord.
Recently, my friend Phil and I stayed at a property of Inna's. On arriving at immigration, we nearly weren't allowed into the country as she had only given us part of the address. This was so ambiguous that we were told no taxi would know where this was. Great start!! We eventually arrived at the apartment, after having to phone Inna for the full address. She had asked us in an email how many beds we needed making up and we told her two. On arrival, she had only made one bed up and that... More »

Our family of 3 stayed in Brownstone in the Park, 1R for 5 nights. We found it comfortable and clean and a good deal. The neighborhood made us a little nervous but we always felt safe walking in the area. Very close to subway, which is crucial. It was very quiet for sleeping except Sunday morning. This was a relatively well decorated and clean place to stay. I would be warned that the neighborhood is right in the middle of Harlem and can be quite stressful to walk around in the evenings. However, we did not have any problems there. Also, it was very cold and apparently the heater does not turn on until it gets below 55 degrees. As long as you can tolerate these things, it is definitely a decent place to stay for the price!
we stayed at original beauty from october 25th to november 1st. The place was clean and friendly and the neighbourhood is perfectly charming. We can highly recommend Inna.
My husband and I stayed at Brownstone II for 3 nights. We came in early and were able to pick up the keys and drop our luggage in the room while it was being cleaned. It was very convenient to the subway and it generally met our needs for our weekend stay. Stayed at Brownstone I for one night. The place was simple, but very clean. The location is convenient to an express train. I would book this property again!
Just completed my 2nd stay, this time on business. I took the two 2nd floor units on Brownstone II, for me and a colleague. It's quiet enough, clean, and safe. The kitchen came in handy one night when we were too tired to go out and had leftovers from my fave resto (Carmine's) in the fridge. I cannot emphasize the convenience of the subway (four lines) just round the corner. It's the only way to do NYC for me now, with my own little home-away-from-home.
Brownstone 1 - location, location, location - the place is just perfect for getting around on the subway or walking. Very simple, sparse accommodations but we enjoyed staying there very much. Getting in and making arrangments for keys went smoothly. The smell in the hallway really did get to me, bring an airfreshener. Outlet in bathroom didn't work so a mirror in the room would be helpful. overall, positive experience.
Apartment was clean and comfortable. Everything was exactly as described. Inna was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
The location was great in that it was only 3 doors away from the subway. Plenty of room and my husband and I felt comfortable walking around the neighborhood though some people would think it was too sketchy for them. The major reason for the rating was that the room was opressively hot for my husband. The radiator must have kicked in, the week we came in, because it was stifling in there. We had to turn on the air conditioner to counteract the heat, and it still didnt do much to help. ... More »

This apartment was ok but not exactly what we expected, even if I don´t know how the other one would have been. We are four in our family and we only got three towels and no extra paper for the toilet and kitchen, and there were no glasses. But after mailing her we did get another towel, paper and... More »
After a lot of work, it was a very full weekend in New York, I found Inna´s place in MIDTOWN EAST!!!, at the last moment. There were no pictures of the apartment but being the most expensive in her list and the only one I found available I took it, hoping it will be OK. I haven´t being in NY in more than 25 years and honestly I was a little scared of what I was going to face. I call Inna from the airport and after the second call she answered. I arrived around 10:30 pm to the apartment;... More »
DO NOT USE INNA'S PLACES. This is NOT a B&B, but mearly a dirty bed with access to a kitchen. We were very disappointed! We stayed at the Brownstone on the Park II. The location was ok- close to the subway with ABCD lines (1/2 ride from midtown on an express mind you!), BUT VERY SKETCHY at night. So if you want to tour in the evening, I would suggest cabbing it back to avoid the subway station. We expected a climb to our room, but the foyer and stairs were DISGUSTINGLY dirty. I was worried... I think GORGEOUS is not the word to describe this pleace. We were quite disappointed because we have to go up 3floors by stairs with all the heavy luggage. Besides the cleanness of the bulding and the apartment was very poor. I recomend a weekly cleanning to the stairs of the bulding and a deep clean to the apartment. Mostly after the people left the apartment. The ubication is good for the price, you have a 24hrs shop enfront of the building and the metro next door. We never meet... More »
2 of my girlfriends and I stayed at Brownstone on the Park for a weekend and we're very pleased with our stay. We would defintely stay at one of Inna's locations again!
I just returned from a stay at the BROWNSTONE ON THE PARK II with 3 friends of mine and it seems like our experience was perhaps a little less positive than that of the rest of the commenters here. Though everything that is listed by Inna is 100% accurate and this place is quite a steal in terms of price, there are a few basics that were missing in our opinion. First, the good: 1-- GREAT location, very close to the subway, easy to get to. 2-- Quiet neighborhood, no drama, not scary at all in... More »
Everything was fine: clean, nice place, good location, good organization to get the key. N
Inna is superfriendly host, we stayed in 2R, apartment was very clean and newly renovated, neighbourhood is nice enough for Harlem, I parked my car right in 123rd.
We had a great time in this apartment. My only complaints would be that there was no internet (there was a modem and a cord, but no socket to plug it in) and the address was changed three times before we got there, which made us a little uneasy. Once we settled into our final place, it was perfect (minus the no internet). Considering the price and size of the place, we were very happy, especially because we were touring around most of the day and night!! New York is the best place on earth!
We must say it was NOT a nice experience at all. we never met Inna, and never received no answer to our emails, neither to our calls after the moment we made the deal. Only the people from Airbnb answered properly our questions. We arrived NYC without the exact address, and hardly our driver could contact her by phone. After this, we found cockroaches and bugs all around the apartment, a pair of used socks under the bed, the place dirty and some of the cockroaches going out from the coffee... More »
We were somewhat disappointed with our accommodtions. The townhouse which we were supposed to have had supposedly had water damage and we were put up in two rooms (with a small kitchen) on 123rd Street. It was very noisy all night long (on the street and on the stairway...don't know what people did all night but they were not quiet). The bed which I had was a chair made into a bed and for the first night, I had no blanket (in October). We called three times and still I didn't get a blanket.... More »

Stayed at Columbia II (2F). Great location, very close to subway. Apartment much nicer than building would suggest. Noisy stairs but otherwise couldn't hear the neighbours. Windows didn't seem to close properly so got a bit cold in the evenings.
Inna was very nic and always available when you neded her. The room war much more spacious when I expected. the neighbourhood is fine - the subway stop is right around the corner. The only thing that would need some improvment is the shower head where very little water is coming out.
Thx a lot to Inna, She will do everything (in the limit of her possible) to help you... I stayed in the 3F wich is excellent for 2 person or max for 3, and in the 4F wich is excellent for up to 6 persons max (2 bedrooms + a sofa) Everything is fonctionnal. The subway is 5 second away by walk... Everything is clean in both... but the best is the communication with Inna wich worth much more than 5 starssssssssss Thx for everything Inna, I'll be back ;) Take care
My girlfriend and I stayed in Columbia II (363 3R) for three nights at the beginning of October. There was a little mix up when picking up the keys so we were stranded out in the dark for a good half hour. Things were sorted out and we got the keys eventually. The building is pretty old and the stairs are narrow and have a lean to them but the room itself was nice. Inna has a few rooms in the same building or in neighboring ones so we did not get a room exactly like the one in the... More »
We stayed 2 nights at Brownstone on the Park I. The bathroom and kitchen could have been cleaner - there was a dirty bath towel in the kitchen and a lot of food in the refrigerator that may or may not have belonged to the other people on the floor. But all in all, it was fine and made the trip affordable for us. The convenience to the subway was great. One minor request - it would be nice to have somewhere in the room to hang towels to dry.
We stayed at Columbia II. The studio was nice and had all the amenities. Overall, it was a very comfortable place to stay. The subway and bus line are both located within a couple of blocks, which is very convenient to get into Midtown, the Village, or the airport. I'd definitely recommend staying at any of Inna's properties.
We just stayed in Brownstone on the Park 1 and were very happy. It was an excellent value compared to the usual cost of visiting NYC. Inna was very prompt in responding to texts. Only complaint was that the outlet in the bathroom didn't work so we had to dry our hair in the bedroom without a mirror. When you first get off the subway it seems like the neighborhood isn't so good but if you go 1 block west of the apartment you are in a delightful area of Columbia University. We were very... More »
Inna was great and answered questions immediately when we called her. The room was clean and pleasant, towels were provided. The small kitchen area was great, too. Highly suggested.
The apartment was cool. Not exactly like the photo but it was good for what we needed. The apartment was a little cold, but we didnt complain. During the day people hung outside, but at night no one was outdoors which was a relief.
My 5 friends and I booked "GORGEOUS!" for 5 nights, the listing located on St Nicholas Ave. Instead we were placed in a different apartment much different from the pictures. As soon as we walked into the building we were greeted with a very pungent, unpleasant smell. Upon entering the apartment, it didn't seem to be that bad. But as we unpacked, we started to notice how dirty the floors, counters, and bathroom were. There were hardly any sheets on our beds and what was on there was old, dirty... More »
Great price and location! We had some requests which were quickly responded to and fulfilled the day we arrived. The walls are thin and you can hear the street (if you're in the room facing it) and other people walking about in the floor upstairs. One of the futon beds didn't fold over properly, so it couldn't be used. The furniture is very basic, but provides the essentials for a place to rest from a day out in NYC. Good value for the price~
My friend and I stayed in 2F for a week in late September. Inna and her husband were very accomodating. The room itself was exactly what we needed, Kitchen, Bathroom/Restroom, Fridge, Iron & Ironing Board, Hairdryer, Air Con & Wi-Fi. Very close to subway, which was excellent. Walking distance to Riverside Park & Columbia University area. As a first time traveller from Australia in the US, it was excellent. Night time adventures were worth doing in groups though. Thanks again!
it was a good deal for the price. i appreciated how they accomodated our early arrival. a little confusing when determining which apartment to put us in though. had to ask for the wireless internet password, which took them awhile to get, which was extremely inconvenient.
We stayed in Gorgeous for 2 nights; building was not decent but the apartment itself (3F) was okay; just how it looks like in the pics. very happy that its close to the subway; few steps away literally. overall, it was an average stay; not too amazing; not too bad either.
We stayed in "gorgeous" for 5 nights and were very satisfied, especially the proximity to the subway and only 15 minutes or so to downtown. Furnishings are basic but lacking nothing (a few water glasses would have been nice tho...).
ok, clean close to subway. alex
We stayed at Brownstone on the Park 2 for seven days.We called Inna when we arrived and she gave us great directions to the place and made the keys available to us. We stayed on the top floor which was difficult with our luggage but someone helped us out with it. The apartment was clean and more spacious that what we were expecting. The shared bathroom worked out fine, the only thing was that it was not stocked with extra toilet paper and there were no hand towels. We did request an iron and... More »
My family and also 5 friends all stayed in the Townhouse Special apartment in September 09 for 2 weeks. We couldn't have been happier. The place was clean and tidy with fresh towels. Inna is very pleasant to work with. The description of her place is accurate and the price is reasonable for an entire apartment.
Had a great stay - perfect location for getting the 'A' train to all major parts of the city. The room was clean and functional. Absolute bargain. Would defo stay again.
We had a very pleasant experience staying at Inna's GORGEOUS! complex in Harlem. The spacious apartment certainly lived up to its name, with its high ceilings and and wood floors. Getting around town was especially easy since the subway is literally next door; as New York novices, this saved us many headaches. Aside from some problems with the internet that were eventually resolved and some chatty loiterers outside our window, our stay at GORGEOUS! was excellent.
Me and my 4 friends stayed at BROWNSTONE ON THE PARK II for one week in September 2009. The apartment is located in nice enough neighbourhood just one block's corner away from NYC's blue subway line (direct connection to JFK!) and 10 or so minutes from red subway line. The apartment was clean and nice and kitchen and bathroom are shared with one other apartment at the same floor. The overal experience was certainly positive, only minor annoyances we encountered was absence of wi-fi connection... More »
I stayed in 3F at St. Nicholas Ave apartment for two days. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Whenever I had questions for Inna, she always replied fast. Definitely will stay in any of Inna's places again!
Inna was nice and easy to contact, the place was clean, the subway is very close, but it was a little bit noisy and you have to share kitchen and bathroom
Inna was very nice to work with. The room was great and the location was good as well. This beats staying and paying tons of money for a hotel in the city..
I stayed for 5 nights and the apartment was great, the train station is very conveniently located, and Inna was great helping us out, she was very helpful and put us up at the last minute after we had a last minute cancellation from someone else. Thanks for everything Inna i will be booking with you next time i go to NY
Just one word: "gorgeous"! Thanks Inna!
We booked into "GORGEOUS" and unfortunately never got to see it! Like many other reviewers, we were not told until we arrived at the apartment, that we had been double-booked and would need to stay at a different building. Luckily there was a man there to take us but we never did hear from or meet Inna during our stay. There was no mention of partial reimbursement either, as this accommodation was definitely sub-standard to what was indicated in the GORGEOUS ad. We stayed at W 145 St. It was... More »
Inna was a tremendous host. She was very accomodating and I never had to ask for anything twice. The neighborhood was great in my opinion. I loved the jazz bar on the corner and also the historic Lenox Lounge. My favorite part was waking up to the choir making quite a joyful noise on Sunday morning as the apartment on Nicholas abuts the back of a Baptist Church. It was a little early (6:30 a.m.) but it was such a beautiful exprience that I decided to just take a nap later. I highly reccomend... More »

We stayed at GORGEOUS on St. Nicholas Ave although we originally booked for COLUMBIA II. We didn't get the 4th floor apartment as initially told and ended up moving to GORGEOUS due to not feeling safe about being on the 2nd floor with loose windows. Both apartments could have been cleaner, especially around the kitchen. We were provided with one bath towel each for a 3 nights of stay. No soap, no shampoo & conditioner, so bring your own. Bed had sheets on it but no blanket. We found a... More »
Inna was polite and quick to respond when I contacted her. 'Gorgeous' is a great apt and quite large by NY standards. It was clean save for dirty dishes in the dishwasher and rotting fruit in the refrigerator. The neighborhood is a little rough - we woke up to police helicoptors swarming above two days in a row trying to catch a rapist on the loose. Maybe not the best location for single women travellers. The proximity to the subway was amazing.
The place was great. Close to subway, clean, air conditioning, wireless, and had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks for all your help, Inna.
GREAT PLACE TO STAY! The apartment was clean and the bed was supper comfortable. The kitchen is modern and has a dish-washer. The bathroom was small but the shower was great. I will tell all my friends :)
For our first experience in NYC (we are three french), we decided to book an apt at BROWNSTONE ON THE PARK II. Before we arrive, we had a good communication with Inna. She replies fast to emails, already a point for her! It was an amazing experience except the beginning: we agreed with Inna for a place to find the keys but when we arrive at one in the morning, we found nothing and impossible to contact her. Hopefully some guys came back to the unit and opened us an unoccupied apt just... More »
The neighborhood is an active one, so if you want total quiet, get a hotel or stay outside of Manhattan. At night time it was very peaceful. Parking was close and we had no issues with our car. Train station is a block or so up, so very easy to travel back and forth. We didn't get the apartment we were initially told (4F, 4R). Ended up on the 1st floor, had a "outside area": a deck with chairs in between buildings that had no street access, which was nice, but don't expect lush grass and... More »
everything was fine and the price is incredible. thank you, inna!
I wish I'd booked this place earlier during our stay, cause it was very convenient to have an entire apartment to ourselves (just two people). The subway is -- literally -- at your doorstep & it's an express stop with 4 lines! The only problem was the bed -- we're both tall men (a little over 6ft.) and it's a rather short bed. Also, we had a bit of a scare when we couldn't access our luggage upon leaving to the airport, but Inna's man came to our rescue.
The apartment is very neat and clean, it has everything that you need for a short stay. Everything was conveniently arranged and we had no problems arranging the keys or contacting the host. I's a good price for the value. We had a great time!
We (3 people) stayed at apartment 1F for four days and it is door to door with the subway. The area was OK but as others stated not for single woman traveler. I never meet Inna, she was gone during our stay and never let us know before hand. When I called the day of arrival I only got voicemail and had to guess my way through numbers(one was really hard to understand) i got a hold of her assistant. You have to be a good sleeper if you are not an early bird, since it is at a busy street during... More »
We stayed at 369 W.123rd St. The apartment was exactly as shown on the web page. It is an old stylish apartment that is clean and nicely maintained. The kitchen and bathroom are clean. The staffs there are nice, especially Anna. She was very friendly and so helpful. We will recommend this apartment to all of our friends and family.
Columbia II is a good value for your money, especially when you consider that you are in Manhattan. It is perfect for a couple. Building can use cleanliness and there was some bad odor in stairwell but the apartment was very clean. A/C size must be upgraded to be able to cool the apartment appropriately. Inna's assistant, Anna was extremely friendly (and it didn't hurt that she was also very beautiful). This is also a good location for commuting. I recommend
The apartment was very quaint and comfortable. The internet connection was a little slower than we'd prefer, but all in all it was a great experience. We will DEFINITELY use Inna's housing options again. WebelowWear.com
I stayed in 4F and it was great for what I needed. I did get a work out going up all those stairs, but I really enjoyed New York and the great place. Like everyone said, it is very convenient to the subway, which is the biggest plus for me.
Stayed on St Nicholas Ave in apartment 3F which was conveniently close to metro, convenience store and pharmacie. Apartment was well equipped and Inna and her assistant Anna very helpful. All in all, very nice stay.
We stayed at Gorgeous and it was OK. The apartment is neat and right next to the subway station so its super convenient. The beds are not that comfortable but the AC, tv, and internet work just fine. As for Inna, she was out of town during our stay (and didn't bother to tell us). But her assistant Anna was helpful once we got in touch. I would recommend for short stays on a budget.
we stayed at the apt on 123rd and Manhattan, we made plans exteremly last minute but Inna was very helpful in accomadating us anyways, since the neighbourhood is in harlem we were a bit worried but it turned out to be fine, the neighbours were actually quite nice, the subway was only a block away and very convienient place was clean and neat, really enjoyed our stay. would def call Inna again if ever in town.
great place - awesome price. near everything we needed to get to, friendly and responsive. will absolutely be back.
The location was very easy to see New York from, being just two blocks' walk from the 'A' line (subway), which even took us to and from JFK. The neighborhood is fine; we had no troubles at all, and Morningside Park is quite lovely. The only trouble we had was in connecting to the internet; we had a weak connection at times, and nothing at all at others. It would also be nice to have 2 more chairs around since that's what the apartment is said to accommodate potentially. We were very... More »
We stayed at the Gorgeous harlem apt, we were really pleased, the place was really neat and Inna is a very nice person, always ready to help. I'd enjoy staying in one of her flats again.
We stayed at Columbia II and it was OK. The neighbourhood was very nice, easy and safe to park the car, and close to the subway. The apartment could have been cleaner though.
This is a 4th floor walk up in a somewhat decrepit building. The room accommodated two people easily, but the nearest entrance to Columbia University is 9 blocks away at 116th and Amsterdam Ave., not 1 as stated in the description. It could have been cleaner and could also use a coat of paint, particularly the trim and doors. Inna was very responsive to my many queries and overall the apartment is convenient and well priced.
We loved our stay in NYC, and so did our 3 kids. Inna was proactive all along. We were swiched to an appt on 145th close to St. Nicholas in Harlem at the last minute, but did not mind in the end since it had 2 double beds. The appt was not 4-star, but functional for a short stay (kitchenette with fridge, washroom, bedroom, A/C, TV). Clean sheets and towels were provided, the appt. was spotless upon our arrival. Subway was a 2 min walk away from the appt., leading directly to Time Square.... More »
Inna and her husband were congenial hosts. The apartment was clean and roomy, and the close proximity to Subway station and stores was very convenient. Downtown is easily accessible. The area of New York where the building is situated is somewhat intimidating however - many itinerent persons in the area. I would recommend the accomodation to adult males but certainly NOT for unaccompanied females.A rape occured in the next block while we were there.
I stayed at «Gorgeous» and it was ok but very very hot... Inna was really nice and helpful. The neighborough is also ok, well situated for subway stations. I recomend it, but not in summer's dog days!
Inna is great. We stayed in one of her St. Nicholas Ave. apartments. It was spacious, clean, full of amenities, and right on the A line. You can get just about anywhere in Manhattan from there in 30 minutes. I was staying there with 4 other people. We booked a smaller place and Inna bumped us up to a 2 bdrm for no additional cost. Really very awesome. A couple of issues: When we got there, there was no AC unit, and only one set of keys. The reason I mention it is that these were... More »

Inna and Staff was very helpful and very nice. The place was a great location for us and came at just the right time. The rooms are very nice as well as the bathroom and kitchens. I would definitely stay again. Monica
We stayed at Columbia II. Inna's place is cute, clean and very comfortable. She is also very responsive to our request. Highly recommended!
I strongly recommend!!! Inna is very attentive to her guests.. The 145 apartment is conveniently "ACCESSIBLE" to the 1 and A,C trains.. Am looking forward to another visit and definitely will contact Inna again. By the way, just wanna say that the bed was super comfortable Inna is the best!!!
It was great. Fantastic experience overall. Very clean, neat, organized. Above and beyond expectations
We stayed at appartment 3F (Brownstone on the park II) for 5 nights. Everything was good. We asked for a reading lamp and got it within 2 days, also got extra towels, and left the apartment late on the last day for no extra charge. The area is not the greatest but metro is just around the corner. I would deffinitely reccomend it to friends.
The Studio was really nice, big and well located, just 10 Meters from the Metro entrance. Inna and her Husband are very sympatic. We just had some trouble to find each other at the beginning, we should have called the day before we arrived. We didn´t got exactly the Flat described on AirBnB, but the one we got was bigger and more quiet than the original one, said Inna. The fridge broke, but it wasn`t a real problem for us. We stayed at Brownstone in the park II for 3 nights and it was perfect! The apartment was near many buses lines and metro stations and the area was really safe for 4 girls travelling together. I would recommend it to everyone!
Very happy with stay!! :)
So close to the subway stop...three doors down, literally. She resolved a toilet issue promptly, and we had a nice uneventful stay. The only problem was the internet connection--it isn't wifi as advertised, there is a plug in only for one computer.
Inna place was very cute. I stayed at Columbia II. It was small but comfortable! And the neighborhood is actually very quiet (as far as the block goes) but 125th is very busy. Inna was great! The old stairs leading up to the 4th floor are kinda scary but no accidents ever happened:)
For the price, it is worth it! Large, comfortable and friendly vibe.
really enjoyed it, had a great time in a very clean and comfy apt.
Good place to be for a night in NYC
I only spent two days, but I had a great stay in apartment 3F in "Gorgeous!" The place was cozy, the futons were comfortable, and Inna, herself, was very helpful and accommodating. Even when she realized that, oddly enough, a few necessities were missing, she brought in pots and pans from another apartment along with brand new towels -- complete with the tags. I would definitely stay at Inna's again.
Overall, very accomodating. Clean and cool with air conditioning. Quiet place with convenient access. My major complaint would be that she asked us to switch to a nearby building at the last minute due to another extension, I didn't mind, however this would be a problem if it happened often.
Inna was very understanding and quite a delight to work with! The apartment was clean and very hospitable. When I go to NYC again, I will stay in one of her apartments, that's for sure! :)
Here are the facts, Anna seemed nice on the phone and in person , however when I arrived at the apartment outside no one was availible to let me in,I called and waited for just over an hour for her to come ( day was hot outside also ), the apartment, had to be cleaned the while I sat waiting, the bed was unmade, I actually left that night withou sleeping ovder. I usualy travel around the world every year, never had an experince like this.
We enjoyed our stay in room 3R - we found it a quiet and VERY convenient location, with safe street parking not too hard to find, ridiculously easy bus & subway service, and local services readily available. Good cable tv and internet too (unlike almost all hotels!). It's a suitably bare bones apartment for a busy traveller, designed for sleeping, having a quick breakfast and a lounge at night. I would definitely recommend this location to urbanites who are used to self-sufficient travel,... More »

The apartment was better than expected. I stayed in apt 4R. Everything was clean and in good condition. I will definitely book from Inna again because she was kind, friendly and extremely patient. Also the apt is very close to the train station. I really enjoyed my stay.
I had a great stay while in New York. The housing is right next to the subway (major plus when coming in late) and a grocery store right across the street. The place is quaint and a small haven from the busy streets. But, I did not have wash clothes when I arrived and the shower curtain needed to be cleaned. Other than that I enjoyed my stay and would return in the future. Thanks
I will recommend any one i know to Inna! I had a great stay!
Location: nice and interesting - your are in Harlem, quite a different world from upper west sides just 30 blocks south. Room: I had expected to have a whole appartment, in fact it was just one (nice) room. If you come with 4 persons, you do not have much space. No lockers, no light next to the bed. Kitchen OK. My group of 4 stayed with Inna for 3 nights in July, and we couldn't have been more impressed with the stay. We had a beautiful, spacious, clean apartment on the 4th floor. We could hardly believe we found such a comfortable place to stay at such a low price. Also, the apartment was literally steps away from a subway station with 2 express trains. We had a great time in New York with my family. We stayed in 4R in a very comfortable way. The apartment had everything what we needed (my family made me cook in order to use the kitchen), and very, very closed to subway!!! Thank you Inna for all!!!
I would recommend a stay at Inna's place. My only complaints would be that unpon arrival, we had to wait at least 20 minutes outside the apt. for someone to let us in. Also, the smell of paint fumes were strong. Otherwise, if you're looking for some where to stay that is economical and you don't mind traveling to the local hot spots, this is a good place to stay.
We had a wonderful time in New York and appreciated having a clean, comfortable place to stay. We stayed in 4F. Be aware that if you take the subway, there are a couple of flights of stairs from the subway to the street. In addition, this apartment four flights up from the street! We were six people in the apartment and we were quite comfortable. I would suggest an extra cable so one can view cable TV and have internet at the same time. I would definitely stay here again. it was really nice clean room, and Inna was polite. I would defintely recommend stay with her.
We stayed at COLUMBIA, the room is just like shown in the pictures. The apartment is located in the Souterrain (half-basement), so it hasn't a great view – but it's clean, comfortable and well appointed (the fridge would suffice for a whole family). first there was no hair-dryer, but inna brought it immediatelly when I asked. sometimes it was a little noisy, but we had earplugs, so we slept well :)
Nice, clean appartment, good conections to all the city. The only downside is that we were told there was gonna be a hair dryer but there was not and the flat is very hot in the summer no fan or air-con Airbnb is great, would deff. use it again.
My husband and 2 young children stayed at "Gorgeous" 1F and had a wonderful time. The apartment was convenient to subway (it took 20 minutes to get to Chelsea on the D line!) and across the street is a supermarket. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable with a nice shower and kitchen. The only downside was that there was no fan or AC, so we had to buy a fan. Would definitely stay there again!!
I can recommend this property highly in that it perfectly suited my group's needs and price range. I came over with a group of 10 people from Ireland to put on an exhibition- because this was the first time in New York for most of the group I wanted to find somewhere we could all stay together that had privacy and was more secure than a hostel (but not more expensive!). We ended up in Inna's brownstone on 123rd street- we rented four apartments- the two on the first floor and the two on the... More »

We were scheduled to stay at 123rd st. but we needed to leave luggage early, and it was more convenient all around to do so at St. Nicholas location (1F). Too bad for us. The place was clean enough but extremely loud with a passel of neighborhood folks lingering right outside the window until deep into the night and all during the day. No one could sleep and we are pretty good sleepers. Also the fact that there is no door between the two rooms should be made clear in the ad.
Inna's place at Haarlem (goegeous) was very nice and clean. We stayed at the 3F appartment and we were three (2 young people and our 60 years old father): even the sofabed was comfortable! There were clean towels, clean bedding, hair-dryer, TV,... Moreover, the appartment is in front of a supermarket. The metro is really 2 buildings away from the appartment. The only downside is that the appartment is on the 3rd floor and after a busy day of visits it was very tiring to go up the stairs. I... More »
Everything was clean, there was cable tv, good wireless connection. Inna was always available on the phone and that made the arrival easier. They clean the apartment regularly. The neighborhood is ok but I would not advise you to walk around after midnight. Overall, for the price, a great deal!
Inna (and her husband) are awesome! The place was in a great location, clean. Inna let us check in early and check out late. This was my first experience with airbnb and I'll be back for more thanks to Inna and her husband!
It was a great apartment. She was easy to work with. There were no problems locating key.
The place was not very clean but lovely. The 147th street entrance to the subway is literally two doors down. Inna was extremely kind. I highly recommend any of her properties to everyone. We were a family of five (three small children) and we found it very comfortable. Thank you Inna.
Super clean, a great uptown location! Solid choice. I would highly recommend this apartment, it was clean easy to reach and very quiet. Extremely close to the subway, easy to transit from. Inna was easy to reach and right on top of when I couldn't figure out the door... My mistake.. =) Oh and the bed was super comfy! Stay here!! good luck...
My family and I stayed in unit 4F in the St Nicolas Ave apt's, I had requested the unit described as "Gorgeous" which is 3F, but was told they had a plumbing problem so we were relocated to 4F. Which you might not think that extra flight of stares would be a big deal but IT IS! If you have any knee problem or heavy luggage you will have a tough time getting up and down the 64 narrow stairs. I was also a little disappointed that we didn't have any internet service or any television picture... More »
We had a wonderful experience at the St.Nicholas Ave. The place was very clean and lovely on the inside. The molding were lovely and the location could not be any better. The 147th street entrance to the subway is literally two doors down. Inna and her husband were extremely kind, honest and generous. Inna will go the extra mile for you whenever needed. I highly recommend any of her properties to everyone. We were a family of five (three small children) and we found it very... More »
Thank Inna and her husband to make our stay so nice and easy. The units are very confortable and pleasant. Good location (many subway lines).I advise for a goup!
Thank you soo much Inna! Me and my friends Love the Place a lots! I LOVE NY so much . soon ill come back and hope to see you soon! :) Thanks again
inna and her husband were polite and accessible... the place (w 123rd st #3r) was as clean and well accommodated as one could expect for $88 night in nyc! and added amenities like wifi and cable tv sure are a nice touch at this price point... i only wish that the bedrooms had doors... neighborhood can be sketchy late night so avoid returning by subway loaded at 2am! recommended for budget travelers with street smarts...
I stayed here for one night while attending a professional event at Columbia University. For me, it was very conveniently located. I was just a few blocks from where I needed to go and it was a short ride on the express subway from the bus station. The price was great and the room was very big. If you are a light sleeper, I would not recommend staying here. The walls are very thin. I could hear people walking up and down the stairs late at night and I could hear the folks upstairs talking.... More »
My family stayed in the apartment 3F located in Saint Nicholas and they loved. The location was very convenient to me because it was near my house. They did not have any problem at all!!! Thank you Inna you were very helpful all the time.
We booked this flat because it felt right, judging from the photos and the friendly treatment by email, but our disappointment started as soon as we got to the door. We were supposed to collect the keys from a certain place, but this proved to be impossible, because Inna –whom we never met, by the way- forgot to place them there, so we had to wander around for about 4 hours until somebody finally came to give us the keys. No need to mention that we didn’t even get a single explanation or... More »
Me and my friend stayed in the "GORGEOUS" apartment in Harlem. Let me start by saying that Inna is a very sweet, and friendly person. Whenever I called her she picked up the phone and even let me leave my bags at the apartment until my flight left at 5:30pm!! Very cool of her! Now, the bad. I originally asked for the 3F, I made sure to confirm with her in every email I sent her that I booked 3F. When I got to NY and called her for directions to the place I introduced myself as "Hi it's... More »
I stayed there this weekend, and overall it was good, but I had no idea there wasnt air conditioning, which wasnt a big deal the first night but the two other nights or mornings got pretty warm. I also didnt come prepared with soap and shampoo or anything, but thats my own fault. The guest in the room next to me apparently wasnt aware the bathroom was shared and left all of her stuff in the bathroom and the door leading to her room open but I closed it up for her.
The location was perfect and the apartment was clean and well maintained if you are looking for affordable and short stay. My girlfriend and I will certainly stay again! Thanks Inna!
My siblings and I stayed at Brownstone on the park I and it is gorgeous! The apartment is super nice, very clean, spacious, and near a subway. Inna is super friendly and helpful. She is always available for you and for any questions/concerns. I definitely recommend this place. You'll have fun! Travel light though, because there is no elevator ;-)
I had a great stay at the apartment on St Nicholas Ave. In Harlem, but not at all dangerous and really perfectly located next to metrostation 145th which has two express trains, so getting to Times Square will take you about 15 minutes! Really happy with the good service and the apartment, can really recommend it!
I stayed at the St.Nicholas Avenue Apartment (same as the one pictured- 3F) for three days with my family. The Apartment is a fabulous one and Inna is outstanding with her prompt responses and help on email and on the phone! The apartment is between 147th and 148th on St.Nicholas Avenue, right on the A, B, C, D Subway lines. The station's NW corner is right in the building and could not be any more convenient to get anywhere in NY City (Even Times Square is a ride away!). There is a Grocery... More »
Me and three friends stayed at Brownstone on the Park and the place definitely met our needs. It was clean and comfortable, and the price was hard to beat. We initially had some trouble getting on the wireless internet but Inna was very helpful in resolving the issue. I'd definitely stay at one of Inna's places again -- it was a pleasure dealing with someone as friendly and prompt as her.
I loved it there...it was beautiful and above what I had thought it would be like, Inna was very nice along with her husband...hopefully I will be able to stay there again when I go back to visit.
We stayed in one of the brownstones on the park. our room was very clean, safe and secure although loud noises from the church next door and upstairs. the internet worked great, towels and sheets were clean, tv worked great, inna was very helpful and accomodating. overall great stay for the money would do again!
Everything was OK!!!! the ubication is really easy for go to the interestin places... It's clean and cozy for be there... The Inna husband was really helpfull... Thanks Inna for everything..
We had a great stay at the Columbia. Our family of 6 had 2 Brownstone apartments on a single floor. Rooms were clean and well furnished. The Browstone is conviently located in Harlem, with a short walk to the North End of Central Park, and the Upper West Side. Very near the 25th Street Subway Station for longer distances. We will be booking with Inna again when we come back to visit family.
We stayed in Inna's Brownstone on the Park I for two nights and wished we had stayed there for our entire trip. Although we never met Inna, her husband was welcoming, gave us the keys and was nearby when we needed help. We were able to get a very early check-in; Inna and her husband were very accomodating in that respect! We were pleasantly surprised of the size and cleanliness of the apartment. No problems whatsoever. So clean we could have eaten off of the floors. Seriously! The place... More »
My house was getting fumigated so, I stayed in Brownstone 1 for one night. Inna was even nice enough to provide early check-in (the exterminators were coming early). There is still doing restorations on the place (Harlem brownstones are hot property and require careful preservation). Inna's hubby(a nice guy btw)met with me, gave me the keys and helped me take my things upstairs. My friend and I were doing a photoshoot in the park that day, but when I saw the brownstone & apartment live I... More »
I stayed with a friend 6 nights at Gorgeous apartment (3F) and really enjoyed it, as well as the location which is really great to go easily in all Manhattan (the subway is so close, good thing after a very busy day!) It was our first visit in the city and we had a wonderful experience!
Both the place at 123rd street (where you share bath and kitchen with other guests) and the whole apt at St. Nicholas Ave are great accommodations for an unbeatable price. If there is any problem Inna and her team are very helpful and prompt to solve it. I was really happy to find these place and people and I am sure that I will come back again and will recommend Inna and her places to my friends coming to NY.
i think this is a case of getting what you pay for. I think $80 a night is very reasonable and for that I was mostly pretty pleased - my apartment was clean and secure, and the location was great. A couple of problems when i arrived - the window didn't shut, and the internet didn't work - were sorted out v promptly by Inna and her team, who were very prompt and courteous. Like other guests, I found a problem with drainage in the bath, and there was a smell of paint, but it wasn't a huge... More »
The St. Nicholas apt. was just as presented, clean & convenient - close to the subway (basically next door), it worked very well for me. Inna and her husband are very accommodating. I was moving to NYC at the time and she helped me find an excellent apartment. -Thanks Inna!
Inna was very helpful and, but if you are planning on spending the weekend at brownstone II you should know that it is next to a boisterous church where gospel singing begins before 7am and is audible in the room. If youplan on going to church on sunday that's great but if you want to sleep in, it's not so great
My wife, son, and I stayed for two nights in Inna's studio and received about what we expected for the price and overall it was a positive experience. Granted it was our first visit to NY and we're pretty easy to please. The apartment did smell of fresh paint but not anything overwhelming - just a sign of the progress she's making. The distance to the subway is reasonable and considering this, the price is a pretty good deal in our humble opinion. She promised us a portion of the studio... More »
I booked the Brownstone on the Park for my mother and aunt for 4 nights. Overall, the stay was not that bad, but not at all as expected. The original description that was up when I booked the room said it was a studio, and "whole apartment" rental, which would normally mean a private bath and kitchen. That is not the case. I spoke with Inna and she promised to try and not put anyone in the adjacent apartment so that my guests would have the bath to themselves. This did not happen either.... More »
I've been brought up to always leave a place the way I've found it. When my wife and I left the property shown on the site, we made the beds and swept the place out from top to bottom. It took us fifteen minutes. From my recollection, that was the first time in my life that I've left somewhere opposite to the manner in which I found it. No, actually that's not entirely true. We did leave the heating exactly as we found it — not working. When I texted the number Inna gave us to ask about... More »
i stayed at the brownstone for one night with my husband and two young children. we were very happy with the location, parking and quiet evening. Inna was very kind and helpful and for the price it was wonderful to have a full kitchen--sharing the kitchen and bathroom worked fine for us. the only downside was the smell of paint , but luckily the weather was so hot we were able to have the windows open all evening. it is a very nice apartment and we will definitely contact Inna next... My husband and I stayed ten days at Brownstone on the Park. The place has been under renovation, but Inna and her friend were always kind. We enjoyed staying this convenient area. Hopefully, renovation would be done soon.
We stayed in a room on the first floor at the Columbia residence. It was clean, newly renovated, and had new linens and towels. For the price, it was quite a good deal. The area was a little sketchy at first, but once we got used to it, had no problem parking, and we took the subway the rest of the day. We could hear the residence upstairs quite clearly that night, but overall it was ok as we spent most of the time out on the town. The only issues were that there was no trashcan, hand... More »
We stayed at Brownstone on the park for 6 nights and it was great!!! Inna was a very gracious and very helpful host and so was her husband. The apartment was clean and so much better than the hotel we used to stay at when we came to NYC. We would totally reccommend any of Inna's apartments to anyone. You don't feel like your visiting...you feel right at HOME!!!
We stayed at the St Nicholas apartment for 7 nights. We were four. The apt is not the same as the one on the pic thought. The view was awful but we didn't really care since we didn't spend much time at home. The place is fine, we had internet access and TV. The place was clean. There is no elevator. We were 1 minute away from the train station. The neighbourhood was ok. There is a supermarket across the street. Inna was lovely. Thank you.
My girlfriend stayed one night and felt quite comfortable. It is very close to a nice University area.
I Stayed at the Brownstone on the Park 4 nights. The Apartament was spacious, ckean and with all do you need (equipped and very comfortable)!!!. Its near to the St Nicholas station so in 5 min u are in central park. Inna is a great host. Thanks Inna.
I stayed at the Columbia location for 3 nights and it was not at all what I expected from the information or photos on AirBnB. The entire building looked like it was still under renovation. Our room was not ready when we arrived even though we arrived later than expected. Our room was still under construction, with dust and tools everywhere. We did not get a key to our room the first night which made me feel very uncomfortable about leaving my stuff there. Finally we got a key to our room the... More »
We stayed at the Brownstone on the Park 2 nights. The Apartment was absolutely different to what we had arranged with Inna. We arrived at 6 PM but the apartment was not ready until 10 PM. It had a shared bathroom when it was supposed to have a private one and when we finally got it, the fridge was not plugged in, it was not clean and we had to take a shower in another bathroom because the one that we were sharing was missing the shower curtain. Apart from all this we did not get the keys to... More »
I stayed at the Brownstone on the Park for a night. The apt was very close to the subway, clean and spacious. Inna was true to her word and had everything i needed in the apt. Overall a great stay!
I've stayed in the flat on St Nicholas for 3 nights. The place is exactly the same as the picture. It is very convenient, really closed to the Subway.
We were a bit uncertain about the location at St Nicholas Ave. & the entrance to the building was a bit off putting. The apartment on the 4th floor was fine, clean, well equipped and very comfortable for two. We only stayed for one night and did walk to a nearby restaurant with no problem. We would try one of Ina's other apartments closer to Manhattan if we came back Beryl & Garry Vancouver Canada
The place is exactly as pictured. Inna is a wonderful woman. The arrangements were simple. The location was terrific. Literally 2 doors from the subway entrance. The apartment was very clean and comfortable.
Inna is a great host, she even let me order stuff to her address, so it would be there until i arrived. Appartment is very clean and safe. Great place to stay if you want to experience New York in wider perspective.
I had a lovely stay at Inna's St.Nicholas Apartment for five nights. The place is exactly how it appears in the photos, very bright, sunny, warm and clean. All the appliances were functional. The location was convenient, just steps to the subway with grocery store, pharmacy and great local diners around. Inna was a very helpful and gracious host. I will be recommending this apartment to others for sure for such a great price. Overall great stay!
Although we were only staying for one night, Inna was a gracious, accommodating and friendly host. The apartment was clean, well appointed and in a great location. We had a great stay, just what we needed at the last minute. Thanks Inna.
Inna booked a place for one of her clients and everything worked out smoothy. She was flexible in working out the logistics and her client was very appreciative of finding a place and keeping good care of it. Would definitely work with her again.
