  Very nice place to stay. It is very clean and it had pretty much everything we needed it. It is also in a good location not far from the see. It is a place where I will go back. Marin makes the stay very easy and in general all was very smooth.

  The studio had everything we needed, although it was not lavishly appointed. A great location, convenient to OB as well as Point Loma and downtown. Marin and Rocio were pleasant hosts! My parents are thinking of staying there whenever they visit family in the area.

  Marin is the only host, that we actually met so far. Communication went very well with him. The studio is very private, clean and neatly furnished. Luckily, there is also a heater, because we stayed at Marin's studio at the beginning of November and it got really cold at night. But as I said, there was a heater and lots of blankets as well.   Sunset Cliffs Studio was my connection to wonderful Ocean Beach. The studio made my whole experience even better. The Studio was spacious, private and peaceful. The entrance path to the studio was laced with landscape grasses that contributed to peaceful rest I was going to take that evening. It has a private front patio that is great for coffee and chat.   We had a great time in the studio. It's a nice spot and very quiet by night. The city airport is close but not too close, so it's not disturbing at all and planes don't fly at night. The neighborhood is very remote also, if it is that what you are looking for, then we highly recommend the studio. Car is definitely needed since the studio is on top of a hill and a few miles out of the city.

  The studio has everything you need for a nice stay in San Diego. Close to the beach, but you do need a car to visit around, sunny, clean, private and well equipped. You barely happen to meet the hosts but they always got back to us when we needed. Nice experience. Loved San Diego.

  Marin and Rocio were excellent communicators, returning emails promptly. We loved the European feel of the studio, and the landscaping is really something special! The bed is comfortable, the patio welcoming, and the kitchenette well-equipped; there were even paper towels, coffee, salt/pepper, and sandwich bags for us.   No hassles, clean, very comfortable, no TV but thats ok. Bed would be a little small for two people unless you like it cosy Airplanes start taking off at 6:30AM every day fortunately not till then.

  This room is very nice and has everything you can think of. The kitchen has the essentials for making a small meal. The bathroom isn't cramped, the room is spacious enough to fit 2 people very comfortably. Parking is abundant and other than once, we always got the VIP parking spot. Ocean Beach, Target, and Ralph's are a few minutes drive away.   This little studio is adorable! it has everything you need and due to the location in the garden you have a lot of privacy! it is like your own appartment. It is also very close to the city center of San Diego and everything is really nearby. Marin and Rocio are outgoing and friendly, sharing tips and information about good places to visit

  Cute, clean, cozy little cottage "close" (a fairly long walk if you are not in shape) to the funky, fun, busy oceanside town of Ocean Beach. Jets start taking off every morning from San Diego Airport at 0630 on the dot, so don't expect to sleep in unless you have high quality ear plugs.   If there is one word I would use to best describe this place, that word would be "functional". My girlfriend and I stayed at Marin and Rocio's studio apt in early June and had a wonderful time. The place was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. I highly recommend this studio and will definitely rent it again when we come back to San Diego later this year.   Most things have been said by the previous guests, and I can confirm that this is a great place to stay! The studio is clean and well-organized, and very important, the mattress is very good. Yes, you will hear the departing planes from San Diego airport, but the noise is really acceptable and in most neighborhoods you'll hear the planes since the airport is literally in the middle of the city.   The pictures are very true to life! Little kitchen and personal bathroom, prefect for one or two. The studio is very private, with a privacy fence between it and the main house. The location is only a five minute drive from Ocean beach and a handful of little shops. Loved the stay! In a previous feedback message, someone mentioned airplanes taking off throughout the night. Its true you can hear them but they really weren't too bad! If given the chance, I would stay here again!

  It's a perfect location; a short distance to everything I wanted to do and being close to the beach instead of the city was very relaxing. I loved that the studio was stand alone, unlike an apartment or hotel room, which provided a lot of privacy.

  Exactly like the pictures. The Studio is quaint and cosy, bed is comfortable, and has everything you would need for to make a home away from home during a vacation to San Diego. And if something is missing, Marin is close by to help out. Studio is sort of up on a hill, so when Marin suggests renting a car, you should listen. ;)

  Marin was great - very hands-off but helpful. The studio is located separately from their primary residence and there's a side entrance so there was ample privacy. The kitchen was well equipped and towels were provided. Overall the room was clean and pleasant and the bed was comfy. The neighborhood is very safe and very pretty and you could do a bit of stargazing at night because the area is away from too many bright lights.

  I've stayed with Marin and Rocio before. The studio is clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the neighborhood is convenient to downtown and the freeway but not so close that noise is a problem. I really enjoyed staying there and look forward to doing so again.

  This is an exceptionally well cared for place and Marin and Rosio were very helpful and thoughtful about what there guests might need. The location is superb and not to far from a thriving little community of stores bars and restaurants. It also has some superb places of great natural beauty.

The small kitchen came in handy for quick meals or heating up left overs from the night before. (a microwave would be the added touch!).   Very cozy, very comfortable guest house with it's own kitchen, own bathroom and own porch... Geographically San Diego is a very tourist friendly place, everything is in the city. If you have a car, best beaches, downtown or the airport is just 5-10 minutes away from Marin's place. (BTW Don't worry about the noises of the planes, it's not that bad, we have never been disturbed by the noises once...) We highly recommend this place... Thanks again Marin....

  Wish I could give a higher rating. Hosts were very thoughtful but room was furnished very shabby. The furniture was not very comfortable. The location in the flight path for the airport was noisy from 6AM until 10PM. Dogs in the area also made sleeping hard. We are not fussy people but did not enjoy this stay. G.B Tucson AZ

  Marin and his family were very nice and helpful during our stay providing us with ideas on things to do. The guest house was very clean and the space was well decorated. My boyfriend and I loved being able to cook our own meals and the well stocked kitchen made it even easier to do so.

  We enjoyed a lot our staying in Marin's apartment in last August. The apartment composed of a room with a queen bad, a small bathroom and a small but full furnished kitchen corner was clean. There was also a patio with a table perfect for breakfast. The apartment is behind Marin’s principal house, in a quite zone of San Diego, 10 minutes walking to beaches. Marin and his wife are hospitable and discreet.

  Our stay in Martin's place has been good. The studio is very clean and, even if simple, comfortable. All is new and you'll find everything you need to cook a meal. The location is good if you want to spend some days in San Diego beaches, even if it is not very close to the seaside.   Tom and I had a great time at Marin and Rocio's studio. Great space with a full kitchen and a nice bathroom. Their place is close to everything! The beach, Belmont Park, Sea World, Downtown, the airport... We felt right at home and were given our space. I will definitely stay there again when I visit family and friends in San Diego.

  We are very content with our stay at Marin and Rocio's studio. It's a private accommodation in a quiet neighbourhood, and we loved the fact there was no tv or telephone. A heads up for future guests is this is San Diego and the airport is central to the city. Also, public transportation is a bit of a trek and a learning curve so we'd recommend a car for getting around. However, the location in Ocean Beach was terrific with lots of neat things/resources to visit/access/experience close by!

We liked the neighborhood, and street parking was never a problem. WiFi worked with my netbook. We intend to visit again, and can wholeheartedly recommend Marin's studio for other travelers.   My wife and I were in SD for three days to attend our daughter's USD graduation, and this was a fine little headquarters for us. Walking distance to the beach in a comfortable neighborhood, and well-sited to take advantage of SD's attractions. Furniture and decor a little sparse and IKEA-y to suit my tastes, but a nice, neat and comfortable. Very unobtrusive hosts. We would stay here again.

  The studio is really cute, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom looked completely renovated and was nice and clean. It was a perfect little getaway while exploring San Diego.   Good value for sure. Just over a mile to the beach in a good neighborhood. I was there in march with highs in 70s and lows in 50s. Plenty of blankets to stay warm. The place is seperated from the house with a hardwood floor. We had no problem using wireless internet at airports, but we were not able to get a strong, sustained signal at the studio.   We spent 3 nights staying at the Sunset Cliffs Studio. It was very clean and one of the best deals in San Diego. Not too far from the ocean and walking distance to some cool restaurants (try Ortega's). The neutral, modern decor was soothing and we watched TV shows and Netflix on our laptop (free wireless included).   I recently spent 3 days staying here. The studio is very comfortable and because it's detached from the main house, I hardly saw Marin and Rocio, but when I did, they were accommodating and friendly. The map they provided of grocery store, Vietnamese restaurant (super!), beach, etc. was very helpful. The location was excellent, parking was easy, and I enjoyed my stay.

  We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Cliffs Studio. A couple of things would make the stay a little easier. There was no place in the shower to hold soap, shampoo, etc. so we purchased a holder and left it there. There was also no dust pan (broom but no dust pan). It was clean and comfortable and charming. My husband is 6'2" so a queen size bed would have been great!
