This was a bit like visiting distant cousins! Ted and Maria were generous in sharing their experiences and helpful to us for our Portland adventures. Their home is 8 blocks from the MAX. We had an upstairs tbedroom --decorated with Ted's photos--- and half-bath to ourselves, with encouragement to enjoy the back yard and rest of the house. A comfortable and enjoyable stay!
Ted's place was great. He and his wife are very friendly and warm. We had a good time sharing travel stories over delicious Portland beers. The room is clean and very comfortable. The house is located in one of my favorite PDX neighborhoods with quick access to the MAX and cozy coffee shops nearby.
This was my first AirBnB experience, and I stumbled across a true gem. Ted and Maria were warm and generous hosts. The room offered a comfortable bed, privacy, and a thorough selection of maps. I truly enjoyed breakfast time-great stories from Ted, homemade potato frittatas, music, and tea--an energizing start to exploring the city.
I very much enjoyed my stay, Ted and Maria were friedly, helpful and very hospitable hosts. I would certainly recommend staying there to anyone traveling through Portland.
Ted and Maria have a beautiful and relaxing home in Portland, and they are such great hosts. I was busy during my stay there, but looked forward to seeing them when I got home. I highly recommend this place to anyone stopping in Portland. I hope to stay there again when I visit family.
We enjoyed our stay with ted and maria. They are very generous host with lots of stories to share and even some garlic bulbs for next summers planting. Enjoyed the wine and conversation on the patio very much. Very good recommendations on local hot spots. enjoyed very much!
We loved our stay with Maria and found the area of Portland that she lived in charming. Maria also offered great recommendations on restaurants, parks, and other attractions in the downtown Portland area and Mississippi neighborhood.
Ted and Maria were wonderful hosts! As my first airbnb experience, I couldn't have asked for anything more. We shared wine and life stories and they even gave me dinner recommendations and breakfast. Highly recommend staying with these two extremely interesting people!
We enjoyed our stay with Ted & Maria, and very much appreciated their hospitality and helpfulness. The house is in a nice neighborhood and close to public transportation. We enjoyed Ted's travel photography and almost felt we were going along with him to the places he traveled.

We spent one night with Ted and Maria and would definitely stay again. The house is gorgeous and has plenty of charm. We were staying with them while in town apartment hunting and they were more than helpful. They told us the good neighborhoods, the ones to stay away from, and even let us use their computer all night to look for more apartments. We spent 2 nights at Ted and Maria's on our visit to Portland. They were great hosts and gave helpful advice on the area. They provided a nice, warm home and we had a pleasant stay. I highly recommend it to other travelers!
Ted and Maria were both so nice and accommodating. I was exhausted when I got there and had to crash immediately if not sooner, but they invited me to have a glass of wine or some tea with them anyway. Ted made me breakfast in the morning too. Staying with them was exactly what I needed for my Portland stay!

We stayed one night and it was very comfortable. I love the older Portland era homes and their's was lovely. It was wonderful to get breakfast and fascinating travel stories from Ted before hitting the road for home.

We had a great visit with Maria. She was an excellent hostess who shared helpful travel tips on the area. In addition to her advice, we were provided with maps and books of local sites. The room was very comfortable and clean. A breakfast, fit for kings, was offered every morning. If we ever travel back to Portland, Ted's place will be our first pick for lodging.
Great place to stay to be near Portland! Nice neighborhood with gorgeous gardens. Ted and Maria were extremely accomodating and great conversationalists. Comfy futon-- slept like a log. Fresh bagels, cereal, yogurt, and coffee for breakfast. Like home away from home! Thanks again, Ted and Maria!
A nice home in a quiet suburban area. Transportation is easy enough from the house and does not take long. Stayed in an upstairs room with futon mattress and comfortable bedding. Maria was home and was always nice and helpful.
