  We stayed for 4 nights in this amazing apartment and quickly realised how good the location was for exploring Amsterdam. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and the free wifi was great for planning our days; when the sun was out we loved the garden terrace. Would most definitely stay here again. Highly recommended. Thanks Johan for the great advice to your wonderful city!

  Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at prinsengracht490. Such a beautiful space Johan has created! Even though we experienced a touch of rain, when it stopped and the sun peaked though the sundeck was a wonderful place to relax after touring Amsterdam. From our perspective the location could not have been bettter. We highly recommend this guesthouse.

  I just returned from 6 lovely nights in the canal side apt. The 2 apartments in the Prinsengracht 490 are even more beautiful than the photos reveal. They are more like private apartments, rather than guest rooms, all appointed in whites and neutral grey tones, a charming and very comfortable loft bed with views of roof tops on one side and the canal on the other (complete with room darkening shades for your sleeping comfort!) and a private bathroom with modern fixtures.   Johan was waiting for us and communicated with us via sms trying to help us to the maximum. The apartment is very well located, in the heart of the city, clean and well maintained. A fridge, and complementary coffee and tea assortments were available also. We enjoyed our stay very much.

  Johan was a very good host, allways smiling. He helped us with everything. The apartment was very clean, the beds perfect and very confortable and we enjoy our stay. The only drawback is the lack of dishwasher and washing/drying machine.

  We really enjoyed our stay at Johan's authentic apartment in the fantastic canal area. The carefully renovated apartment had a wonderful view and was very tasteful decorated. Johan was a great host and was both helpful and welcoming. We would love to come back.

  Amsterdam is without a doubt a wonderful city! And the apartment just made our stay even more unforgettable. Location is perfect; the flat is well furnished, very comfortable; and our host very helpful. I will definitely stay there again next time!! :)
