I work at a startup in San Fran (thumbtack.com) and previously was a White House staffer.

Before living in DC, I went to Yale for college and I grew up in the Midwest (Oklahoma, Iowa, Minnesota).

When I'm not working I'm usually biking, running, reading, talking startups, or exploring somewhere outside the city.

I work long hours (8am - 10pm) so if you rent a room you'll have the place to yourself almost all the time.

If you're new to the city I'm happy to tell you about the best restaurants, bars, parks, etc.

Our apartment is amazing and the neighborhood is close to everything. :)

Beautiful apartment. Excellent location. View was to die for from every room. Stayed there for our Son's Graduation. We could walk to and from his apartment. Everyone was so helpful right down to the lobby concierge. Although Jonathan was not there (he was out of the country) his presence and immaculate room/apartment showed the kind of person he is. Jonathan's place was amazing. The views are spectacular and close to everything. I managed to get great run up the Embarcadero in the early morning fog. Jonathan is a gracious host and I look forward to staying next time!

Jonathan's place is amazing -- luxury setup for a great price. The apartment is luxurious and the views of the bay are truly incredible. The huge tv and surround sound were also nice -- I relaxed to some netflix before calling it a night. In addition to the gorgeous apartment, the building amenities are killer. Jonathan's place is immaculate, modern, minimalist and has gorgeous views of the Bay. He was a great host and provided all the information I needed to get in, get comfortable and make full use of the building's services (I didn't partake because it was a short trip but I felt good knowing how to use the hot tub if I had the time). Jonathan was responsive and courteous; I would absolutely recommend his place to anyone needing to stay in San Francisco!

Jonathan is a naturally great host and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for premium accommodation in San Francisco. First off, Jonathan was fast to on Airbnb and then following up via email and text. He made it completely clear how to get to his place, how to get access to the apartment (he left a key with the concierge), and even sent a nice pdf document filled with suggestions and tips of how to enjoy the stay to the fullest. Jonathan's place is immaculate. Gorgeous views of the Bay Bridge, conveniently located to the best stops for nightlife in SF, with amenities that rival any lap of luxury (check out the hot tub.) Jonathan is a thoughtful host; welcoming you with a personal note and fresh towels on your bed. Overall, a most comfortable stay perfect for any getaway in the bay.

Jonathan is the ideal guest, and will probably leave your place cleaner than you left it! I have known Jonathan for 10 years, and have had many living and traveling experiences with him. I have known and lived with Jonathan for a long time and he is an ideal roommate. He's clean, considerate, polite, fun, knowledgeable of the city and things to do, and is out of the house all of the time since he works a ton. Oh, and you'll absolutely love the apartment. It has insane views of the bay and is always immaculate - you will feel like you are staying in a furniture showroom!

Jonathan is a considerate and extremely clean host. He's was happy to lend me his towel when I showed up to the pool without one, and he graciously offered to let me sleep on his bed while he slept on the couch one night when we were working late on a project.
