Gail is a very accomodating host and the apt was very clean and tidy. I was not able to move upstairs to another apt as had been arranged and Gail went out of her way to allow me to stay in the original room. This flat has an excellent localization in front a subway station, just crossing the street. Gail was waiting for us and was very friendly. Good place till 4 adults + 2 children with a complete kitchen and two bedrooms.

Not only did Gail make sure I knew exactly how to get to the apartment, but her lovely mother was waiting to meet me when I arrived! More of a hostel vibe than a bnb, but for the money- lived up to expectations. Gail was super helpful in navigating Montreal and the house is in a very convenient location. We drove in and parking on the street was easy safe and abundant. There was no lock on the door to our room, which made us a little nervous leaving belonging while we went out, but for the low maintenance traveler, I definitely recommend staying with Gail!

We had a lovely time in the apartment. The location was excellent being right on the metro. The rooms were clean and spacious. Gail was a fine host despite our not meeting. We did have some trouble getting hot water on one morning but after mentioning this to Gail we had no trouble in the following days.

Montreal is an expensive city and I was glad to find this gem of place. There is a bus #125 right across the street that takes you to downtown. The Papineau Metro station is only 7 mins walk away and there are quite a few nice cozy places to eat around. My room was very clean, comfortable and well-heated. Nice big closet with many hangers for my clothes. The apartment mates are very friendly and courteous.

Gail is EXCELLENT in dealing with traveling people who are often slightly scared, always strangers and need that empathy for those who are facing the difficulty of a journey. Furthermore, Gail is an excellent ambassador for the Belle Provence. I've stayed with her for three times now, and look forward to my next visit to Montreal and her establishments .

We really enjoyed our stay in Montreal. it was very easy to reach everything from this apartment as a starting point. (Just buy a 3-day metro ticket for 16$). THe location is great because it's at the corner of st. Catherine Street (famous shopping street) and a 5 min. walk to Crescent Street were many bars and clubs are located. The apartment is quite big, well appointed and everything was clean. We would come again.

Gail accepted us on the day that we needed accommodation and was very welcoming. Her apartment is right opposite Lional - Groulx station which was great in getting around Montreal. The room was a good size, had lots of storage space, and the bed is really comfortable. The apartment has a great kitchen and open living area (though we barely used it!) and the bathroom was really clean. A great stay. Gail even helped us with taxi bookings and travel advice.

This was a clean, very spacious and convenient place located literally across the street from a major metro station and very close to Atwater market and lots of food options. About a 10 min ride from downtown but the surrounding neighborhood is very charming w a historic canal and is very pleasant for walking around as well. Great value and a great experience esp for families would definitely stay again!

Gail was very nice and flexible with check-in and check-out time. The Pierce street apartment was very centrally located.It was a block away from the Guy-Concordia Station and was very close to shopping and restaurants. The apartment was a good sized two bedroom with living room, shower, and kitchen. The cons about the apartment was that the carpet in the bedroom was a bit stained, window sill and shelving was a bit dusty, and the grout in the shower was a bit dirty too.

The apartment is close to the Plateau and down town. There are 6 rooms in the apartment (one of them is yours). The room and shared bathroom was clean, you can't lock the door though, but it's safe. There is a big kitchen, a washing machine and a nice terrace to hang out. Everything as advertised, we recommend it!

The room is in a very good location, close to a variety of restaurants and pubs as well as the local metro station. Despite the proximity to all this the bedrooms are very quiet, set back from the street. If I ever revisit Montreal I would be more than happy to stay here again.

In the appartment were 4 other people lives, there is no LOCK on the door. So If you go outside the appartment, everyone could go to your room. As you don't know the others how could you trust them? You should know that before you pick to go there. If this, doesn't bother you, you can go there. The room is basic but the price is too.

This is an excellent location right downtown in Montreal close to shopping and the city centre. The street, however is a side street and very quiet. I would recommend this place. It was a 30 second walk to the metro and it was very clean. It was nice also having air conditioning and a full kitchen with utensils. Gail's apartment is located very close to downtown (only a $15 cab ride away) with a grocery store and mini mall within a 5 min walk. This is my second time staying at the Atwater apartment. I loved it! It's in such a great location - across the road from the train station, and right near the Atwater markets and a supermarket (Super C). Great location, right by Lionel-Groulx Stations (literally 150 yards) made it really easy to get downtown. The apartment was clean, fully decked out, and air conditioned. A real win all around.

This apartment is not quite downtown but it is next to one of the biggest metro stations and easy to get to just about anywhere you want to go. Also, it's right where the express bus from the airport stops which made it extremely convenient to come from and go back to the airport. Gail was a great host and was there when I arrived. The apartment is across from the Metro station and is very close to the market. If you prefer to drive, it's about 5-10 mins drive to downtown, parking is not difficult to find. The housemates were friendly and the shared bathroom/shower was mostly vacant when we needed it. For us it was a perfect place to stay. Great way to stay inexpensively in Montreal. The apartment is three blocks from the Atwater Market, with it's bakeries, butcher shops and produce markets. Since it has a full kitchen, we were able to have most of our (gourmet) meals at home. It's also literally across the street from one of the main Metro stations, so it's quick and easy to get around.

Gail provided us with a very reasonably priced accomodation very close to transit and not too far from St.Catherine's street (aka main shopping street in Montreal). They always say it's location location location and with this place you hit it in the spot, especially when considering the price. Gail was helpful when asking for directions to the place, even though we made it not easy for her as our phones didn't work in Canada (AT&T GoPhone users beware!). There are tons of shops within 10 minute walking distance and there is free parking on the road, would definitely recommend it to anybody visiting Montréal.

We shared a vintage 3-bedroom apt w/2 xcellent housemates, kitchen & bathroom were kept clean and tidy by each user. Washer/dryer in well-equipped kitchen. This was my 1st experience with AirBnB and it was fine. This particular location (1882 Ontario) is convenient for anyone arriving by bus or those who need to be east of downtown. Overall, we had a great experience staying with Gail at the Atwater market apartment on Lionel Groux/Atwater. She greeted us at the apartment and was very communicative throughout the stay. The apartment was no frills, but clean and in a nice/safe area of Montreal. I would recommend this place to a friend passing through town in a heartbeat.

I stayed in one of Gail's apartments close to Papineau underground station for five consecutive nights when looking for my long-term accommodation in Montreal. I do recommend doing the same when coming to the city for the first time. Gail picked me up at the bus station on the day of my arrival and really tried to help me get settled in Montreal. Gail’s apartment is perfectly located as you stay in a nice neighbourhood, a 5-minute walk to the subway and 10 minutes to the supermarket – you can even approach downtown on foot. This is the third time I have stayed with Gail and will not be the last. The room is nice and clean and on of the few she has with a TV. I had one small problem here and she took care of it right away. Gail really tries hard to make sure you are comfortable. Even with the heat wave that was going on when I first arrives, I have a nice clean fan waiting for me. She even cleaned it from top to bottom herself. For the money that you pay, it is the best deal in town or pretty much anywhere else.
