  Stay here! Carmen and Leo's place was clean, comfortable and cool. It's a 4th floor walk-up in a nice building with big front windows looking onto the street. Beds were comfy, great shower pressure and she even stocked the fridge with oj, yogurt and fruit-although there are TONS of awesome spots in the hood to dine.   We had a lovely time at Carmen & Leo's home, it's a cozy and comfortable place. Carmen was so helpful organising our reservation at the last minute and then responding super quickly to emails while we were there. She left some great tips for places to visit in the area.

  Stayed for 4 days in April with family. The place was clean, and Carmen very helpful, and flexible. It is a fourth floor walkup, in a neighborhood that is working for up-scale but definitely not there yet :-) . We enjoyed it and would do it again.

  We have only good things to say about our time at Carmen's. The apartment was ideal for our needs. It was clean, comfortable, and had a worldly, intellectual feel. Also, Carmen's knowledge of the city is apparent everywhere; she provides a wide array of maps and brochures detailing countless spots throughout the city.   I give 5 stars. Look no further if you are like me, -don't mind the subway ride into the city -want comfortable private room and the bed -want more than just Manhattan, such as Coney Island, Williamsburgh, Brooklyn, etc. About the hosts, Carmen and Leo are great couple to hang out with, talk to, watch movies with, enjoy coffee with, ask about the city, and so much on. (what I did with them :-) ) I felt grateful to get to stay at their place.

  Carmen and Leo have a lovely place filled with a ton of neat little touches to make your stay more comfortable. I've stayed at a half dozen places in NYC, both hotels and residences, and this one was one of my favorites. Also, they will communicate with you every step of the way and make sure you're well looked after. I had a good feeling about staying with them from the very first email, and it really paid off.

  I stayed in Carmen and Leo's place while they were on a trip and I didn't have a chance to meet them in person yet. Carmen was great and responded in no time to my questions, and left and extensive list of things to refer to when they are not there. Their place is super nice and clean, and the neighborhood is one of the best - unless you are more comfortable in thoroughly gentrified areas in Brooklyn which I'm not.   Carmen and Leo are very attentive to our guests arrive all you need for breakfast in the morning was ready. In addition, they have left us a map of the metro and another on the points nice to see in the city. We had a pleasant stay in their apartment, the bedding was really great;) we recommend their apartment.
