I was hosted in SF for 3 nights. The place is in a good situation. It's in a calm neighborhood. There are buses 5 minutes walking that takes you to the center. Also there is a walgreens, gas station and whole day parking in five minutes around walking. The place is good and has averything needed although is a little old.

Great location and easy to get around, especially with Igor's website suggestions on public transit. The building was a bit seedier than expected and carpet stains a surprise, but the use of a kitchen, internet and parking below made for an overall comfortable stay. The fluffy towels were great!

I had the worst day ever in SF. But it was only because I wasn't prepared well, and Igor did everything possible to accommodate me and help me =) The apartment's location is really nice (near the Fisherman's district), and quite spacious. I wasn't a big fan of the decoration there, but that's okay I guess (judge by the photos !)

I needed a place short notice and contacted Igor who instantly responded. The place I inquired about was booked as we communicated so he offered me the room I ended up staying in. He was easy to contact and open to any questions or suggestions. Getting the key was the easiest thing. The apt was in a relatively quiet area close to public and a 24 hr pharmacy. Check in was a little mixed up to begin with. I liked the lockitron experience, your smartphone has the ability to unlock the doors. However, I only saw half of the online 'keys' when I first arrived. Within 30 minutes it was fixed and working fine. Due to complications, Igor also upgrade my room for no extra charge. He seemed sympathetic to a travelers' needs and expectations.

Igor was only the only responder who actually seemed pleased to host me. I sent out six inquiries and only heard back from two hosts. I was looking for a place to only sleep. This filled the bill. It was in walking distance to the hospital. (Of course, it is hilly). Very clean. And, even with other, younger guests in attendance, it was quiet. Igor's couch was very comfortable.

This B+B in Cow Hollow was my first experience with Air B+B and I couldn't have asked for a better one. It was a magnificently central location for my family and I to explore San Francisco. The apartment felt like it was our and at the same time, felt like it had been previously lived in and loved. It was great to see other people's 'thank you' notes on the fridge. I felt like I was part of something greater than myself.

The apartment is in a great location with a very short walk to great resaurants/bars/cafes and buses. There were 4 of us renting the whole apartment and we found it to be very spacious. Igor is a great host who gave us fanatastic advice on what to do and see, locations of restaurants and advicde on the various buses and there routes. We highly recommend this apartment if you are considering it. Thanks again Igor.

Igor's place is in a fantastic location. On one side you have Union Street and the other is Chestnut. It is a very pedestrian friendly area with easy access to nice restaurants, groceries, etc. Igor is a great host and always makes sure that you have everything that you need.

It was my second time staying at Igor's apt., but this time I was not by myself... I brought a group with me and we rented out the whole place. Great times! Not only the place has plenty of space and is comfortable to stay in, but also the location is awesome! Great bars and restaurants around, so we never had to walk more than 10 minutes to get anywhere. Next time I'm in the city, I'm probably staying there again :)

Igor was able to accomodate me last minute and it was great! Great area, walking distance to plenty of shopping and the Golden Gate Bridge! He allowed me to park my car downstairs - and even let me keep it there a few hours after check out. Thanks again for all your help! Certainly a recommended stay in the area.

Great stay, very comfortable room and clean bathroom and kitchen. The flat is in a nice area, close to lots of things but still quite quiet. Igor was a great host, and everything ran really smoothly with no problems! Very recommended!

The apartment was perfect. Very clean and the location can not be beat. It was also nice to be able to hang out with family in the living room rather than shuttling between multiple hotel rooms. The bus was very close and easy to use. The shopping and restaurants and movie theater on Chestnut gave us a wonderful sense of the neighborhood. Thank you to Igor for making our trip to San Francisco so much fun!

I#ve stayed in Igor's place for almost 3 weeks and it couldn't have been better! The apartment is located in an awesome location with great Muni connections and it has a stunning view. The place itself is very clean and tidy and very spacious. Igor was the best host ever. He put so much effort in making me feel comfortable. I could always call him if I had any questions (also not related to his apartment). I'll definitely stay there again :-)

Igor was not present for my stay, but he welcomed via telephone and entrusted me with his space. His apartment is a typical, older SF walk-up -- great location for tourists. He even has a parking spot(!) beneath his building he rents out for $10 -- its a steal in SF.

Igor was helpful, but I didn't realise he wouldn't actually be there at any time until after the booking was complete (I probably should have asked a few more questions). The place was clean and well maintained and the location was great. The other guests that stayed at the same time were very friendly and polite. Would be happy to stay there again!

I stayed in Igor’s flat in middle march. I liked everything. The apartment is clean, spacious and light. There is a good parking place into the house on the 1st floor. House located near Chestnut St, where are many shops, café, restaurants, etc. Host is very friendly. When I had questions, the host quickly helped them to solve. Overall rating 5/5. I recommend to everyone stop in Igor’s apartment.

We booked this room the day before we needed it. Igor is a wired dude, so it's nice that he gets back to you quickly. However, the room is really very sparse and unattractive and the bed is very poor. Also, the amenities are bad or non-existant. We had to bring our own sheets and towels, and there were no shampoos etc. in the shower. We have found much better places with Air BnB. Everything was great. The location is incredible, there is so much to eat and see right down the street. Igor is very helpful with getting in and figuring out what to do. I'll definitely be staying here whenever I come back to the city. It's really really big for a place in San Francisco, as well. We didn't expect that much space.

excellent stay! All people who shared the appartement wiht me were very friendly and I enjoyed the time with them. The neighborhood is great and all the SF attractions are easy to reach. It's overall quiet and I had a good sleep every night I've been there. Don't hesitate, take this great place!

This place was fantastic! Beautiful spacious apartment with awesome panoramic views if you just go one floor up. Even from inside the apartment the views were really cool. The location is perfect because it is very quite and peaceful and just two blocks over on Chestnut you are in the activity scene with restaurants, shops, and bars. Location, location, location!!! Great location! This is a no-frills arragement but has absolutely everything you need: private bath, linens and towels, use of the kitchen, wi-fi, (paid) parking, laundry, walking distance to *everything*, close to 101N access. We had our own room and bath but Igor was hosting someone in the living room which we didn't mind at all. Igor's place was in an excellent location, close to everything and a short walk to some amazing sites. Loved the great cafes and shops just down the road and the amazing views from further up divisadaro. I was happy to be able to stay in the Marina area. I was only there for three nights and needed a bedroom and a bath. I would say that the stay was "bare bones". Unless I missed some information, I was surprised to find there were no towels, so I had to go out an buy some. The bed and bath were clean. The wall-to-wall in the bedroom either needs cleaning or replacing. It was very stained.

The location and size of the apartment are fantastic. Cleaning is a problem. I had to clean out the frig of rotting food. A rusting bed frame is out on the fire escape balcony, otherwise marring a decent view. The view of Golden Gate Bridge is not from the apartment, but from the roof. And the entry closet is so full of stuff as to be a hazard. The place needs a good cleaning and maintenance. But otherwise Igor delivered a great place from which to explore SF and the Bay area.

Igor was great. There was a double booking for the place, so Igor put us up at an inn just around the corner with all the same amenities as his place. We had a great parking spot...hard to come by in the city. We enjoyed our stay in San Francisco.

Igor was able to accommodate us at the last minute (we booked a same day reservation). His place was very modest, but the price was reasonable, it was in a good location, and it had covered parking. Igor was incredibly responsive and checked to make sure we got settled in OK. I can see why people are happy with the experience of renting from him.

Spartan but clean. Considering location and price, it's definitely a great value. My wife and I enjoyed the neighborhood shops and restaurants, and we were able to go anywhere we wanted via public transit. Igor's directions and advice were helpful and very much appreciated. If your looking for a place to lay your head thats close to everything I would recommend it! We honestly just slept there, we were gone the entirety of our days. The only thing I would say is just know that there are two other rooms, so you will have roommates, however there is a lock on the bedroom we stayed in, if thats something your concerned with. We had great time in SF and Igor's apartment is in a very good location- close to the beach, Fisherman's Warf, Lombard, Chestnut and Union Streets and not far from the Downtown. We enjoyed a great view on the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge too. Igor appeared to be very hospitable, friendly, honest and helpful.

igor was a great host in coordinating with me thru his workplace. unfortunately i was unable to meet him because of his schedule but his humble abode was very welcoming and the best location for all sorts of activities! I was able to walk to the 30 bus which literally took me all over fisherman's wharf, the bridge, chinatown, japantown and all other places, and polk street! all that in one day + good food = a great day! Igor's flat was a great place to stay for a group of sailors competing in the Big Boat Series. It is close to the marina and all of the restaurants on Lombard St. I would recommend it for budget conscious travelers.

Igor was very helpful setting up the apartment for my dad and sister who were visiting me. We found the place very clean and organized. The apartment is located in a beautiful area with a great view and easy to access most neighborhoods and tourist attractions. We rented the whole apartment and every room was very comfortable (the couch was too!) I would totally rent from Igor again if I get more visitors.

For those who are picky, the place could be a cleaner, particularly the carpet. Newer sheets and towels would be nice too. Otherwise, everything was as advertised. There were no bad surprises. We rented the entire apartment, and it was nice to have a home away from home. Igor was very helpful and informative.

We really enjoyed staying at Igor's flat. It's spacious, a great location in a known area of San Francisco. We really appreciated the use of the garage that reduced stress. We also liked the cheap laundry facilities. We also found Igor very helpful and was always on hand to help us out whenever we had a problem. We stayed 3 days with our 2 kids (14 and 11) on vacation from Scotland, and loved it. Great location, lots of space, great value for San Francisco. And of course a view of Alcatraz and the Bay to remind us where we were! Booking, arrival, and departure went completely smoothly, though we never actually met or spoke to Igor directly and did everything by email. Igor had the beds organized the way we wanted and everything clean and tidy for arrival.

With three, we had a nice two-day stay at Igor's place, arranged at the last minute in a nice, practical way. With two adolescents (19,15) we had a good stay, feeling at home both inside the house and outside in the neighborhood. Next time, we hope to meet Igor as he was out working. Igor's apartment was comfortable and very homely. The location is great with a Walgreens a block away. Chestnut street is great for cafe's, the gym, supermarket, clothes shopping and has everything you need. I walked to Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square, Port of San Francisco and literally everywhere. I booked one night with Igor just one day before I arrived. He responded quickly to my request, and everything was set up when I arrived. I have to admit that the sofabed was not the most comfortable experience, but for the price and location (in a very nice neighborhood), it's a great deal.

I originally booked Igor's sofabed @ his Marina apartment. The rest of the apartment turned out not to be booked for 3 days of my 5 day stay and Igor gave me free reign to enjoy the apt. The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It's walking distance from North Beach (Cote Tower/Fisherman's Warf) and J-Town. Plus the 24 bus runs very nearby and takes you into the Haight or Castro. Great deal!

I stayed in the master bedroom in the Mt View townhouse. The room has great lighting and is super spacious. The location is excellent as its very close to downtown Mt View, (website hidden), NASA and many other important questions. It's near major freeways and an important Central Expressway.

Great location in Cow Hollow, close to Chestnut and Union Avenues, lots of buses within a couple of blocks of the place, Crissy field, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Marina, within 15 minutes walk. Absolutely great view of the bay as well. This was a great place to stay for 2-3 people on a budget. Igor is friendly, helpful and accessible. Thanks for opening up your place!

Our stay was fine. We did not have another family or group with us. That was great because the apartment is NOT really capable of taking care of more than one group. Go ahead and hang the pictures on the wall so they don't get broken. It was a good location that was clean and safe. Buses 45 and 41 do the trick.

If you are looking for a great location, this is definitely worth the price. We had a full house and it felt more like a dorm than apartment. Igor is knowledgeable about the area. A good home base if you are in-and-out on the town.

The apartment is huge and the rate is pretty good compared to other places in such an expensive city. We had the whole apartment for ourselves. The location was perfect: close to shops, restaurants, public transportation. The area is safe and quiet. Igor was very helpful with information on the area and transportation. I think that staying at Igor's was definitely the best choice. We booked the sofabed, but since a bedroom was available, he offered us to stay in there which was unexpected but very nice of him! Igor double booked my reservation but was quick to offer other alternatives and even refunds on my reservation. He eventually made me a reservation at a local inn and transferred me the money for the inn. I never had the pleasure to meet Igor but over the phone he seemed like a nice guy.

Igor's place worked well for my conference at Fort Mason as I could walk there as well as to all the good choices for restaurants, bars and coffee shops on Chestnut. The room was good as it was a quiet place with my own bathroom. Perfect. Wifi worked great (critical for me) and Igor was very accomodating when I wanted to drop off a bag before noon. It was a great choice.

My son and I visited with Igor and he was very flexible because I changed my time of arrival at least 4 times. He also referred us to a great museum type place that my son loved. The apartment was calm and quiet and the shower was fantastic, water pressure and heat were great after a long road trip - would definitely recommend him to anyone!

Mi sister and I had a very pleasant stay at Igor's! The room was nice and we had our own private bathroom, very clean too. The location is very good in a quiet neighborhood and all of the main SF attractions are a short bus ride away. We were so busy exploring the city that unfortunately we didn't get to hang out with Igor much! Maybe next time. I would definitely recommend his place!

The place is in the best place of SF and very close to such attraction as the Golden Gate Bridge, the Palace of Fine Arts and Fishman's Wharf. Given good weather, you can see Golden Gate Bridge from his window. Igor is very nice and helpful in providing all kinds of information.

Igor is a friendly, welcoming host. The location is awesome, you can walk to many restaurants, pubs, and shopping within a few blocks, and get to anywhere in the city via a quick trip on the bus. Also, the view of Golden Gate Bridge from his roof is postcard perfect. The sofa was very comfy. The house is tidy, although the bathroom was kinda messy. I would absolutely stay with Igor again: awesome guy & great access to all the sights of San Francisco.

Igor is a wonderful host and his location is PRIME for visiting San Francisco. Being located right in the Marina District, any visitor has access to transportation that can get you anywhere in the cit. It's also easy to find his place when you arrive in town. I would strongly recommend igor and his place if you want to be centrally San Francisco located.

Our stay with Igor was pleasant. Three people on a fold out was a little tight, but he did warn us prior. His place is located in a very nice part of town, and blocks away from public transportation. I definitely wouldn't recommend walking, seeing that he lives on one of the steepest hills in San Francisco; which we learned the hard way. Igor was prepared with many maps and brochures for tourist attractions, and very knowledgeable about the area.

I stayed in Igor's shared room, which was comfortable enough - traffic from other two rooms was minimal and discrete. Igor was very hospitable, accommodating yet unobtrusive. The place itself is in the one of the best neighborhoods in San Francisco for hip and professional crowd. I had a car and did not have any problems with parking. The location is great - many bus stops just one or two blocks away taking you to most places in the city; plus, it is a quiet and safe community. The host, Igor, was really helpful - He gave me directions on how to reach his place, to places of interests, and to the airport. The bed, well, it is fine sleeping on it, although incomparable to sleeping on a real one.

Before arriving there Igor was already very helpful. He sent me a very detail plan on how to get there and answered all my questions. The location is very good and you can see Alcatraz from there. Igor kept pretty much to himself but he made sure that everything was all right. I would say that the bed is OK, not uncomfortable at all.

My girlfriend and I had a really nice time at Igor's. His place is very well located, close to major bus lines to downtown and in a really nice neighborhood with an awesome view on the Bay. Furthermore, it was really nice to have our own bathroom. Igor is really nice and easy-going and can give you some good tips to enjoy your stay 100%. The only negative thing would be the room that could use some more furniture than just a bed and small table. Really nice stay anyway.

i absolutely LOVED staying at igor's place. the couch was super comfy and he made me feel totally at home. i slept like a rock each night. the area couldn't have been more perfect for a single girl, i felt SUPER safe walking around. i would recommend igor's couch to anyone and i will definitely be back!

Igor, was quick to make sure that we had everything we needed to stay at his place. He was pretty reserved; but made sure that we were taken care of and answered all of our questions about the surrounding areas. The roof top has a great view of the golden gate bridge and alcatrz and is fairly close to a bunch of shops and resturants. The sofa bed isn't the isn't the best but will do.

Igor was buried in a pretty heavy project when I met him but still took the time to make sure I was settled. Mariana and Igor kept to themselves quite a bit, but are very relaxed about arrival times and leaving times etc. Igor is a bit of a culture vulture especially if you're into film - which is great. Apartment was great although the sofa bed a little uncomfortable. Right near chestnut or union for some great food and bars.

I enjoyed staying with Igor. The neighborhood is great, and the view is terrific. The apartment was clean, the pull-out bed was not the flattest I've seen, but still comfortable, I always slept well on it. Igor and his roommate Marina are very nice and friendly. They know the city well so they can recommend some places worth going to, whether it's for going out, or visiting. A good place to stay at for a few nights !
