I'm a designer and athlete who has a knack for catching things when they fall. I have an eye for detail so close that I spot hairs in food. I like designing web sites and thinking about how to make interactive experiences fun and memorable.
The designers Charles and Ray Eames are my heros.
I love renting the room and meeting great people!
Joe's loft was the perfect place to call home for a couple days while visiting San Francisco for MacWorld. A quick walk to the Moscone center and a million fantastic SOMA bars and restaurants. Our roommate, Daniel, was super welcoming and gave us some good adventure ideas. The upstairs portion of the loft was really bright and open. I'm already looking for a reason to return to SF and will definitely be staying at the loft.
January 2012Nice place, great loft. The water pressure was great and Daniel, the host's roommate, was very sweet. :) We would stay here again, thanks for the iPad, it sure came in handy. The place was only a short cab ride away from Kiji, the most amazing and reasonably priced sushi my boyfriend and I have ever had. Thanks again, Carlee
I had a lot to get done in San Francisco and needed somewhere comfortable and private to work between meetings and rest between days. Joe made my life easy, the details were confirmed in one email exchange before I left Australia, and he let me check in a little early on short notice when my plans (ie the weather) changed. The loft is a perfect place to stay when you want your own space, but still want to enjoy the experience of being hosted through Airbnb. Lots of closet space... More »
Great flat! 19 Rausch just rocks in general. Joe, Brian, Harry, Topher, Andrew & Daniel. All great guys! Can't wait to be back!
Pros: Joe was able to accommodate last minute, about 3 blocks from BART station, safe unit, centrally located, relatively quiet, plenty of towels provided, ipad and wifi, toiletries provided, clean room with walk-in closet with plenty of room and cabinet space, laundry. Good restaurants around the corner and walking distance to Civic Center area. Cons: Room is a bit smaller than appears on the pic, would not feel safe to walk in the area alone, although the room is clean and the place is... More »
My first choice and where I stayed the last two years was already taken. But Joe came through and made me an offer I couldn't refuse with an unfurnished one bedroom unit all to myself next door. Because he hadn't a chance to fully furnish the unit, he still provided some kitchen utensils.
Nice apartment at an excellent location. Apartment was decent, but shows some more wear and tear than visible in the (awesome) pictures. Some stains in the carpet, a bit dark, but overal I had a very good stay. The bath with massaging jets was great, the second floor was very spacious and a good place to chill out. Big thumbs up for Joe for setting an example as host. I would definitely stay here again.
A very nice place to stay. Joe was fabulously prompt in helping out with the minor glitches I had. Wonder if all your places are like this, though.
The loft was in a convenient and central location for my short stay. While I never met Joe, he was a very considerate host that checked in to make sure my stay was going well. He even provided toiletries! My only complaint would be the noisy neighbors and their band practice in the middle of the night but overall good experience.
I had a second interview that I hadn't planned on and needed a place to stay that night and Joe came to my rescue! He not only responded to my inquiry quickly and sent detailed information regarding the loft immediately following my booking, he even included a handy guide to the neighborhood that listed grocery stores, bars, good restaurants, etc. which was so useful and greatly appreciated. The loft was exactly as he described in the listing. In a great location, very clean and comfy bed.... More »
Thank you very much Joe! Although he was not there, Joe was very accommodating and easy to contact/reach and responded quickly. Nice location- just be weary of your surroundings as always. We had the apartment to ourselves most of the time, and B.A.R.T is very close which is extremely convenient! The room itself is nice nice, although the upstairs could do some tidying. Having the laundry available is useful, too.
I had a great trip. Joe is great person. I will never forget this trip with Airbnb people. If you have a plan to visit San Francisco, SOMA LOFT is your best place to stay. Clean&Cozy&Not Expensive place!
Joe is a very nice flexible and accommodating man. The place is beautiful and the room was nice and cozy. Nice and clean bathroom with plush towels. He worked with me for check-in and check-out times based on my conference schedule and I am very thankful to him for that. I will most definitely stay at his place again.
Joe's a very attentive host, even though we never saw or heard him (or his roommate). He responds quickly to email requests and his whiteboard notes/drawings were very helpful/thoughtful. It was easy to get in and out and we were able to store our bags in the garage for a few extra hours after we "checked-out." The private bedroom/bathroom felt more like a tiny hip boutique hotel, and we really appreciated the towels, mini toiletries and use of an Ipad 2! His place is located close to the... More »
Joe was great about answering emails right away. The loft is convenient to the BART/MUNI and to Market Street, but is in a pretty sketchy area. I wouldn't feel comfortable walking around there alone at night (as a female). I highly recommend checking out the Bloodhound (great bar) and the Thai restaurant (thai basil?) that are less than a block away. The travel-sized toiletries were great and the shower had awesome water pressure. It could've used a good vacuum and it was pretty small. ... More »
The room: good decorated, functional and comfortable but it wasn't very clean (it's ok for few days of visiting the city). We were a little bit stressed because except the first door from the street, doors (loft and room) are always open but nothing happend. The neighborood is very surprising at the first time (a lot of homeless), it was a little bit scary during the night but not dangerous I think and it is very close to the Downtown (Union Square). We didn't see Joe (and any people) but... More »
We stayed here for 7 nights What was good - Apartment itself is furnished well with nice linen and towels, good crockery, lovely cutlery. Storage in the room helped keep large suitcases away. Nice touches like mini toiletries, hair-dryer, first aid kit, guide books and international plug adaptors. Use of an Ipad2 was great considering we didn't bring a laptop. Having the use of a washing machine and dryer was helpful. The lounge area is bright, airy and roomy with a Fusball table. Joe is... More »
After attending Airbnb's new HQ party, I stayed at the Soma Loft. Joe was a great host and the place was very clean. Excellent location, plenty to do, all within walking distance. Lots of Zipcar locations nearby as well!
Joe's place was great! A great location and a really cool lofty-apartment. We had the place to ourselves, since Joe and Harry were out. The best part was actually Joe's Airbnb Guidebook. We came in late and needed pizza delivery - and BAM - there's the number! In the morning, we needed coffee and there were several choices listed. My T-Moble phone got awful reception there, but the super-speedy internet made up for it! The comfy bed and multiple pillows made sleeping dreamy!
This is a great spot in San Fran - easy access to everywhere. Room felt a bit small but given we were out and about and only there to sleep it didn't bother us too much. Definitely recommended.
Joe was a very good host. We had a last second change with our other place and Joe welcomed us on short notice and made sure everything went smoothly. His space is great for hanging out, playing fooseball and having a few drinks! I would definitely stay here again..
The location was good and the loft was really nice. The house was reasonably clean and we never saw or heard the other person living in the loft. It was like we had the house to ourself. The only thing that could have been better was the smell of the room. I think the bed had a musty smell and only a bottom sheet and blanket which is kind of gross. All in, a great deal for staying in San Fran.
Joe was an awesome host and his place is very nice, clean, convenient, private bathroom, just like a hotel but better.
Best desciptors for this place? Patchy/mixedbag, you get the idea. The room was great as was teh kitchen, but big thumbs down for ther two reasons i chose to book this place - the jacuzzi bath and the kitchen. I checked in Sunday morning and did not have a working jacuzzi bath until Tuesday night. while the kitchen is fully functional, it was also useless until Tuesday night as there was not a single pot, pan or other cooking implement to be found, not even a toaster! Annoyed me greatly... More »
Well designed common spaces with a quiet comfortable room in a very nice area! Both Joe and Harry are excellent and discreet hosts. I'm looking forward to stay there again!
Joe's place is very clean and organized and you'd almost think no one lives there. We had a really relaxing weekend and the room (with a private bathroom) was more than sufficient for what we needed. The loft is a 7 minute walk from the MUNI/BART station at which you can take a train to nearly anywhere in the city. If you're looking for semi-private place to serve as your base for a trip to SF and you don't need to be near a ton of touristy stuff, Joe's place does the trick.
We loved the room and the apartment - great area too! Joe was out of town and our paths didn't cross with Harry's so it kind of felt like we had the place to ourselves. I would recommend the apartment to others.
Good place to stay if you need a quiet, cozy room to sleep in. Joe showed up on time to let me in, but he (and his roomate) are so busy making airbnb as awesome as it is, I rarely saw or heard them.
Everything worked well. The location was great and the apartment was as described. There was plenty of information on hand in the room and Joe was was very helpful for the brief time we spoke.
The location was great! The loft is beautiful and calm. Plus Harry is the most quiet and discrete roommate ever! We also loved the advices left by Joe on the Airbnb guidebook, that have been really useful, especially regarding nearby restaurants! Really felt like we were at home. Way better than an hotel for sure!
My stay at the SOMA loft was very relaxing and enjoyable. The loft is beautiful, and it's located in a great area of the city. While I did not see Joe during my visit, I could witness his and Harry's hospitality as the room was very clean, there were plenty of guides to the city in the room, and the guidebook of the neighborhood that Joe created is very good.
Great place! Great location! Loved staying at Joe's place. He was really responsive and the house was clean and tidy. Everything worked out well.
Joe is always a great host. Excellent in every way. Have stayed there several times, will stay there again!
Joe made me feel comfortable right away. From the local chocolate bar on the pillow to his instant response concierge service, I would highly suggest staying here if you are in need of friendly hospitality and great restaurant tips around the neighborhood.
The house is nice and Joe was very kind, even though he's almost always out.
Location was great and it was easy to get in and out without disturbing anyone. The room was fine, nothing special, but it worked.
it might say "perfect for Tahoe" , but in my case Joe's Cherry was Über Perfect for taking my friend visiting from Paris on a little road trip along Highway 1 or on the winding roads of Napa Valley. Joe was so accommodating and this was by far the easiest and cheapest car rental experience I have ever had!! Hope I can book it again soon!
The place is nice and centrally located. Joe has been nice and gentle and helped us with anything we needed. I definitively recommend staying here!
I had to stay in San Francisco for a couple of day in order to attend a conference, and I can say I couldn't have pick a better place to stay. Clean room, private bathroom, great housemate and really cool area to explore. Highly recommended.
Joe and Chris were once again, amazingly accommodating! Great place and great location. In all honesty, best place I've ever stayed at in San Francisco. Always a pleasure to stay at your pace guys. I'll hopefully see you again really soon.
Joe's jeep is in great shape and was perfect for the drive up to Tahoe! Thanks Joe!
Mahalo Joe and Chris, I was a first time user of Airbnb.com and now will always check here first before I book my travels. My visit to San Francisco could not have been any better. I was able to communicate with Joe G. prior to and upon my arrival to SF. He was nice enough to check to make sure I made it safely even though he himself was not going to be there. Minutes after I arrived Chris, Joe's Roomie, stop by to say Hello and welcome me to the place. The SOMA Loft was nice, comfy... More »
Thank you Joe! This was a great place to stay. The bed was so comfy, that I was excited to go to sleep every night.
I had a great time staying at Joe and Chris's place. The room was very comfortable and spacious, and the building was centrally located with great cafes and restaurants nearby. I would recommend to others.
Had a fantastic time in the Loft. Great room and location.
This was my first airbnb experience, and it was great. I'll definitely be back again next time I'm in San Francisco.
Joe has been very helpful in making arrangement for us despite we made the reservation at a last minute. Location of the apartment is very convenient. Loft feels good.
The room and the bath were clean. The only thing that was missing was a hairdryer. The location is great and public transportation is reachable within few minutes which we appreciated. Joe answered to questions very quickly! As a summary, we would stay again at Joe's apartment for visiting SF.
This was my second stay at the SOMA LOFT. Joe was an attentive host and very accommodating when change of plans required returning for a couple of days after Thanksgiving. Reading my Kindle on iPad and sipping tea on a comfortable leather sofa next to a gas fireplace while waiting out the morning rain showers were enjoyable. Joe even invited me to their first brunch for hosts and travelers at Radius Restaurant on Folsom, a street I didn't explore. It was nice to see friendly faces - Chris... More »
A good location, good price, good tub. It would be nice if there were a way to boil water(teapot) or make coffee, and if there were cups or mugs.
Joe is an excellent host. His place was nice, clean and fun. I would definitely stay there again.
It was really great staying at your place, Joe! Well located, we could visit San Francisco by foot. Joe was really nice to us and helpful. It was really fun to meet one of airbnb creator, airbnb is AWESOME!!! Chris, "our roomate" was really nice to us too and it was nice to talk to him. He gave us the name of a really great Thai restaurant "Basil"! If you go to SF, you must stay at Joe's!
Joe has a cool spot in a very convenient location in SF..just a few blocks/short walk from Union Square. He was very accommodating the few instances we encountered him or had questions or needed something. The only downside of our stay there was the thumping, raging party that happened in an adjacent building and went until 7am. I'm sure Joe had no control over that, so I wouldn't mark down our stay just for that. Otherwise, his place is just fine and the location is prime. Great price,... More »

I was in San Francisco and on a tight schedule. Joe was completely hospitable, and friendly. He made me feel very comfortable. Recommend to anybody.
Joe was awesome! Attentive to detail. Positive energy and a most gracious host. Requests were answered in short order. The location was just a 1/4-1/2 mile walk (5 minutes) to the moscone convention center, a bit further to union square. The flat is perfect for those that attend conferences on a budget. Whole foods nearby and access to fully applianced (stainless)kitchen which is shared with flat mate (who I never saw). The room itself was clean with most comfy bed, desk and bureau. Large... More »
Great modern, comfortable, stylish digs. Joe was very friendly and helpful. Thanks.
Nothing less than an amazing stay! First, for the fact that I was able to book this room two days before the Folsom Street Fair (the room is located half a block from Folsom Street) without any dramas...second, for the spacious, clean, and beautiful room/loft apartment (formerly AirBnB's headquarters)....and third, for Joe's friendliness and unobtrusive hosting. Very centrally located, close to Civic Centre BART and in the heart of SoMa's action - allowed me to easily catch up with friends... More »
This well-located apartment is in a diverse, unconventional neighbourhood. We gained insight into the lifestyles of the locals from visiting the nearby local haunts ie excellent cafes, pubs-cum-laudromats, "supermarkets". Furthermore, within walking distance are the Civic Centre and Union Square. Proximity to all public transport is also a Plus. (We caught the BART to the airport from the Civic Centre station. How convenient is that!)
Effortless. Quiet. In & Out. Great room, great location. Added bonus: most random, yet serendipitous encounter with Joe! I'll be back soon.
Amazing guy. Very friendly and helpful! His apartment was comfortable and in a great location. He had great suggestions about things to visit in the city. I felt safe with him in his apartment. I couldn't have asked for more. Keep up the good work Joe!! :]
thanks for a great stay Joe! the apartment was really comfy and convenient for me- union square is in walking distance as is the fisherman's wharf (if you are relatively fit and up for some walking). The room was comfy, clean, and it's such a boon to have your own private bathroom! Joe was really accommodating and cheery, i checked out late but he was cool with me leaving my luggage at the apartment while i explored SF. Got good directions from him (and a map) and he was always contactable if... More »
comfy bed! great to read in. really nice loft joe was very nice and accomodating even tho i showed up at midnite!
Joe was a friendly host and Chris was great too. (Joe doesn't actually live in the place; Chris does.) We liked that the apartment was on the first floor, with a private bath, and it was conveniently located to be walking distance to a lot of stuff.
Joe is great, responsive, and friendly host. His pad was still undecorated when I was there (as described,) but the airbed was comfy and the location great. He's the kind of guy who makes AirBNB work.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay! I've supplied my review in list form for easy perusal. Please know that entries in the CONS list are given in the spirit of helpful feedback for future visitors. PROS (@) The big plus is the location: - Nicely designed modern apt. - Nice airey "feel" to the upstairs area! - It's on a quiet block. - It *feels* residential. - The neighborhood itself is young and arty. - You can walk to a BART station (Powell St). -... Good base from which to explore San Francisco. Nice room with full private bathroom. We didn't see much of Housemate Chris, but he was very welcoming. Joe was very quick to reply to all enquiries and the whole booking was very easy.
There were lots of things that were GREAT about our experience. The flexibility (it was wonderful that we could come in at a slightly different time than we had planned, drop our bags, and come back at the agreed upon time); having a kitchen and a whole home were terrific. I also love the whole concept of AirBnB--it works for people who travel and it helps people who have apartments in expensive cities. And it meant we had contact with people who live in the city, too--which we really... More »
PERFECT ! It was our first experience with airB&B, it was great ! the loft is 10 minutes walk from Market street. it was easy to find, the room was perfect and we used the kitchen for our dinner and breakfast. i recommend this address. Great place to stay, with the convenience of all the home stuff. Chris was a great host.
Joe was a great host. We talked about Airbnb and the story behind it. I only stayed for one night and wanted to stay longer. The place was comfortable. Be Aware: the bed is super comfortable.
Great Host. I loved the loft. Very friendly and flexible. Just need better parking and you're golden.
Joe and Chris are great hosts and the room is a perfect base for exploring San Francisco. Clean, convenient, with a comfy bed and a private bathroom it’s a real find.
Stayed at the Rausch St apartment, and it was pretty much exactly as shown-albeit the shared space was, as you'd expect, a bit more lived-in looking than the pictures. Our interactions with both Joe and the actual roommate, Chris, were super limited -- only literally two minutes for either of them. That's a-okay, but I felt almost like I was bothering Chris by being there as he made himself super sparse (and we weren't able to take advantage of the great recommendations other reviewers... very nice experience. this was first time w/ air. room was exactly as advertised, great bed awesome bathroom, kitchen, foosball and fireplace all very nice touches. i really enjoy not having any business/hotel staff to deal with. i am def an airbnb person from here on out.
This unit is perhaps as close as it comes to an official Airbnb unit. One the ground floor of the building that started it all, Joe is, as always, an excellent host. The apartment has a fun energy, with a fireplace and a foosball table. The bedroom is very clean, with a private bathroom and walk-in closet. I would classify it as a professional unit, meaning that it is rented on Airbnb full-time. Therefore, while the apartment itself has a more lived-in San Francisco feeling, the bedroom feels... More »
This was my first time using airbnb. The location doesnt get much better- the apartment is secure and clean. Its nice to have access to a kitchen and washer/dryer when travelling. I cant recommend you stay here though because I want it to be available if I need to stay there again. :>
The accommodations at this Rausch Street location were extremely clean and comfortable. The area is safe and is located within easy walking distance from mass transit, restaurants, entertainment and shopping. Co-hosts Chris and Lola are very knowledgeable about local events. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Great central location. Nice place, very comfortable bed. Joe was immediately reachable and helpful by phone and text message the few times I needed anything. This was the perfect accommodation at a great price.
we love san francisco and have previously stayed there in hotels. Our first time experience as airbnb guests was very positive. Our stay there with lola and chris was very comfortable and relaxed. we were able to interact enough to not feel like we were living with strangers, but we also had enough alone time and space to feel independant. lola runs marathons, works, studies and copes admirably with executive chef chris! Both lovely people and i want to adopt you both.
Had a great time in SF staying at Joe's. Well, it was really Chris and Lola and they just made me feel really welcome. Groovy little pad in a fantastic location. Really comfy room with a drawer unit and closet for hanging and a desk. Sometimes its the little things! Great value. Great communiction from Joe.
I didn't meet Joe, but did interact with Chris and Lola who were both great. They pointed me to some nice restaurants in the area and were quite welcoming. I was in and out so much that I had less time to chat with them than I would have liked, but that can only be the fault of the surplus of things there are to do in SF. The room itself was very comfortable and well kept. I would easily place the experience above that of any other nearby options. There was a minor mix up with the keys... More »

Had a great time staying in the loft. The bed was comfortable and the private bathroom was clean. The location is great: short walk to the BART/MUNI stop and lots of food choices nearby. I highly recommend it!
The Air BnB HQ is comfy, quiet, clean and convenient. There are cool little restaurants and a couple fun bars within a few blocks and even a grocery store for fruit and stuff over on 8th.
The flat is great, and Joe was very helpful providing directions on how to get there from SFO. Lots of cool bars & restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.
Very convenient location, close to public transportations, and a great place to stay with friendly hosts. The room is very well furnished and comfortable. Excellent Thai restaurant one block away.
Joe's loft was very comfortable and convenient. If you're looking for a place in SoMA or generally close to the BART, I'd highly recommend staying here.
Such a fun experience -- Joe was a great communicator and the whole trip was SO EASY. I would definitively use airbnb for my next excursion as the whole experience was much better than "just another" corporate hotel.
The room was awesome, and the comfy bed was perfect after a long day. The location in SOMA is perfect. Close to the main streets, walking distance to all types of food and although I didn't get a chance to hang out with Chris, he seems like a very cool dude. I'll never forget Joe inviting me up to the office on a Sunday to introduce me to the team. I was greeted by 10 cheery folks happily working on the upcoming Olympics. Now that's a team! Thanks Joe!
PERFECT! Great location. Even better space! This is a GREAT spot!
Joe rules. The apartment rules. Enough said.
After several failed attempts in securing reservations with other listings, I landed in Joe's SOMA Loft which is conveniently located near the Muni/BART station on Market St where I successfully navigated to the DeYoung Museum at Golden Gate Park and which is also near the Farmer's Market where I bought some delicious Jalapeno almonds. My first time staying at an AirBnB place. The room was great so was Joe and the rest of the AirBnb team.
I can speak about the room but is too easy, I just want to say that this CREW is working hard everyday to offer us the best emotional experience for travelers; I was there, and I can tell you. This is one of the most useful service of the world! Ciao guys!
The apartment itself is great on its own, but Joe and the AirBnB team make it a much more exciting place to stay than just an apartment. I would particularly suggest this to anyone interested in the SF and YC startup community.
Stayed with my pals below, Bradford and Patrick for Startup School '09 yah! "Travel like a human", it's no joke. I have to say this is definitely the way to travel if you want to get a feel for a city. Joe, Brian, and Chris treated us like old-time friends. Enough said. I'll be back too! Thanks.
Joe, Brian, and the AirBnB crew are one of the most interesting, thoughtful, and *fun* groups of people I've ever met. It was a blast to stay at the "Launchpad". Appreciated the toiletries and towels laid out on my bed when I arrived -- I didn't have to root around for them. +5000 Awesome Points, and best of luck in the future.
Joe and the entire AirBnB team are an amazing group of guys. I would definitely stay with them again. They provided everything I could ask for (airbed, pillow, blanket, toiletries, and even breakfast). Also, he gave me my own key to the place so I could come and go as often as I wanted. Thanks again!
We loved staying with Joe and the other Airbnb members. The loft is awesome and you get everywhere so easily. Joe and Chris are unbelievable helpful and it is fun to take a look behind the scenes ;-) There is not much more to say - you can't capture it in words, just experience it...
What can I say - as one of the great minds behind this site, Joe lived up to my expectations! He and his roommates were very inviting, and a blast to get to know. We geeked it up until 3am discussing code and entrepreneurship (essentially my stay turned into a very affordable consulting session... where else but on this site can a "hotel" be so enlightening). I absolutely love AirBnB, and it was inspiring to meet the founders. Thanks for still hosting guests despite your continued hard work... More »

No doubt that Joe is a great host. He responded to my request within only 5 hours. The very first night, we went to a party hosted by mySpace; what more you can expect from your host. After my 13 hours flight from London, I felt like at home in San Francisco. WiFi connection at the place is super fast.
although i didn't get to meet him, his presence in our emails was lovely and he left my home in perfect condition. Go for Joe
January 2012It was great fun to host Joe at my house in Sausalito. It just happened to be one of the last lovely, sunny days of January, before the rains came, so I invited him to come sailing, since that is one of my passions. We had a gorgeous day of sailing, then got to know each other more over a delicious pizza and wine at Bar Bocce, the local hot spot. What can I say? Joe and Anita were pretty much the best guests that a host could ask for. Respectable, clean, friendly and all around amazing. I would definitely invite either or both of them back any time :)
The perfect guest! Excellent communication before and during the stay.
Joe was extremely polite, hope his trip was a blast!
Joe and his fried Jamie were considerate and gracious guests. They were very neat and respectful and I would welcome them back again.
We had a great time hosting Joe and his friend Jamie. They stayed in a private room in our home, and this was our first time to host anyone on Airbnb. Upon their arrival, we shared a glass of wine, and ended up chatting for several hours, having some good laughs and sharing ideas. Everything went smoothly, and they left the room exactly the way they found it when they arrived. I would recommend Joe to stay at anyone's place, and hope to host him again in the future!
Joe and his friend Jamie arrived on time from Atlanta. After an introduction to the house by Hosts Richard & Robin, Joe napped and then spent a night on the town. He left by midday, after taking photos of the house and rooms, to attend an Airbnb gathering at B. Matthews. We joined them at 2:00 PM at B. Matthews and learned more about Airbnb, its founding and a peak at the furure. Joe and Jamie are super people I would welcome back to Los Robles at any time. I am just sorry their stay... More »

Joe was a great guest. I was a little too busy to be the best possible host, but Joe made it easy. Would have liked to have more time to chat, but I had to run out the door before he did!
Joe was a pleasure to host - very warm, approachable, intelligent and funny. It was a very brief stay but Joe left a very favorable impression. He is welcome to come back and stay anytime!
Joe stayed with me in my home apt. for a night recently (thankfully he did not wear those eyeglasses). He refused my offer to join us for dinner, instead bought in a pizza and spent the evening in my living room working on his macbook air. We had to drag him away from work to yap with us! After hosting hundreds of tenants from all over the world, I can definitely say beyond any doubt that Joe was by far the best one… An extremely nice guy, super intelligent and fun to be with, the kind of guy you can sit and chat with freely about anything. Thanks for coming, we enjoyed hosting you and would love to do that again in the future. :-)
Joe was a very nice person to host and talk with over lunch or a glass of champain at the Alcazar... Warm, dynamic, and reliable. He made sure everything at my place was in order when he left. It did not look at all like three guys (in my case, Joe came with two other airbnb co-founders) had stayed there for almost a week! I warmly recommend Joe as a host.
Joe is a very nice and interesting person. It was such a pleasure to host one of airbnb's co founder. And we could discuss how to enhance the web site. Please come back whenever you want, Joe.
Joe was a pleasure to meet and host. He is clearly a professional!
Yay! Fun! Joe and I briefly took over Washington, D.C. It was an embarrasment to the US and security, so it's been wiped from the history books. Oh well, we tried. Success!
Joe was a pleasure to host! He was very respectful and fun to hang out with. He proved to be a formidable ping pong opponent, and he taught me the power of sporting a cool pair of glasses!
Joe's a pretty great guy.
Andrew is a Family Member August 2011Joe is a great guy and answer requests right away. He also has mean basketball skills!
Have you ever wondered what it was like to be able to do all the things you've ever dreamed of doing, if only...? Have you ever thought how rewarding it could be to transform your seemingly fictitious ideas into reality, if only...? Have you ever watched someone else do it? Witnessed how it was done? If only...? Look no further. Eccentric, creative, driven and full of energy, Joe can inspire even the most dullest of rocks to grow legs and jump to the ceiling. The space in which he lives,... More »
Joe is an inspiring, highly motivated, hard working person who has a very lovely home...he will absolutely give you a great introduction to the city and make your stay a most memorable one!
A great way to stay in the heart of San Francisco at a price that is unbelievable. The concept of staying with locals for that "valued added touch" while you travel is certainly true. All three roommates wanted to make sure I got the most out of my time and they succeeded. Will definitely use AB&B again on future trips. Joseph J.
