Alper's apartment is awesome, especially for a couple. I agree with all the positive reviews on here, it's everything they say it is: close to the tram, private and cozy, plus it's in a great neighborhood. We were surprised to discover not one, not two, but three DELICIOUS and affordable neighborhood restaurants who seemed delighted by our presence. The food was awesome, and we didn't have to endure the cattle call of the tourist areas.

We had a very nice two-day stay here. The apartment is very clean and comfortable with a good location (especially if you're trying to get to the airport). The location is pretty close to some mosque loudspeakers so the 5:30am call to prayer can be overwhelming, but otherwise, this is a great spot.
We loved staying in Alper's apartment and the area around it is amazing. The food was brilliant and the people there were really friendly, and the apartment is really close to the tram that goes to all the places you would want throughout Istanbul. We can highly recommend staying here. =)

Starting with the initial conversation, Alper was very timely in his responses and provided excellent information. When our flight arrived in Istanbul around 1:00 AM, he spoke with the taxi driver and gave him directions. We had a great time in Istanbul. The flat is in a great area, near some really nice restaurants. Alper is very helpful, he provides an Istanbul card (wich offers cheaper travelling), some books, a cellphone, wifi and english DVD-s.
I can only recommend this flat!
We rent the appartment of Alper for 17 days. Everything was as described. The appartment was very confortable. A small street very quiet, at 5 minutes of walk of the bus terminal, restaurants etc.
We enjoyed our stay at this apartment so much that we wanted to stay longer. It's really comfortable and has everything you might need. Alper was a really helpful host and was always available to answer any question we had about Istanbul.
Wonderful, clean apartment for unbeatable price! Alper was very friendly and patiently waited to meet us at the tram when our transport was running late. As we walked to the apt, he pointed out places for good food & shopping. This is a residential area very nearby the tram- *easy* to get to tourist attractions, but far enough when you wanted to escape. Alper has guide books and is happy to give recommendations as well.

The location was great value for the money, close to the tram just 15 minutes from Sultanahmet and all of that! The place was also very nice and well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. The pull-out was very comfy!

The appartment is 15 minutes from Sultanamet by tramway but with an authentic local community life where we found like at home.

I rented Alper's apartment for one month. My experience was entirely positive. The apartment has all the basic amenities one could expect. In addition, Alper is a caring and effective landlord. Good access to public transport and a lovely park are two additional assets.

Alper was a great host, very helpful in giving us suggestions of what to do and when to do it. A true Istanbul insider! He had maps, books, akbil transit passes, and restaurant menus, all of which came it handy!
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely spacious apartment. It was great to be so close to the main attractions (easily accessed by tram), but out of the tourist chaos, in a nice private, self-contained setting. It was also great value for money. Alper was an excellent and friendly host and I would recommend this apartment to anyone interesting in getting to know the beautiful city.
Alper is a very good host. He took the time to meet us at the airport and show us the basics for transportation around Istanbul. He is very friendly and happy to share his knowledge of the city. Alper is very easy to reach (he even let us borrow a cell phone with a local sim card). We also had the pleasure of meeting him out for dinner during our stay, which was great.
