Hi there! A few words about me:I am an Italian teacher who loves its work. I like travelling, practicing sports, especially swimming, and meeting people. I am an outgoing and very helpful person. That's all! I hope to meet you in Rome.
Antonella was a great host. She provided a lot of information prior to our trip to help us reach the accommodation. Her daughter helped us out upon our arrival providing a brief guide of the area and even helping my friend give me directions, as I was arriving separately. Hope to visit Rome again and would definitely use Antonella again!
October 2011We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment. Everything was very accessible but we also felt like we had our own little place in Rome. Antonella was very helpful in providing us directions and maps of the city. I would definitely stay there again!
We stayed eight nights at Antonella’s place and we would happily return there on our next trip to Rome. The apartment was very convenient to traffic, and it was fun to live in a residential area of Rome rather than a tourist area. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen small but well set up, and the AC and wifi worked great. Antonella (and her daughter who met us on the first day) made sure we had everything we needed and was easily reachable when we had questions.
This little apartment was very quaint and arty, it had a student feel about it, with some of the owner's daughter's paintings on display. It was quiet, in a good area and the property is very secure. The transport links were amazing to all the major attractions. The bed was very comfortable also. On a minus though one or two little points to ponder on. It was difficult to contact the owner on arrival in Rome which was a bit disconcerting. The property is a bit tired looking and could... More »
Great place. It is far enough from the city where you get away from the tourism (which allows you for better/cheaper food), but close enough to get anywhere in Rome no longer than 30 minutes (typically just 15 minutes). Our host, Antonella, was extremely nice and greeted us at the apartment. She made sure we knew exactly where everything was so we could get there. PS. Make sure you go to the places around the apartment that she tells you about. The wine is amazing and cheap, and the food... More »
Antonella's apartment is small, but very comfortable and convenient. Although Antonella was kind enough to set up a cot for our three year old, I would not recommend having more than two people as the place will seem very crowded. Otherwise, it's perfect for a single or couple looking for basic housing in a great location. Antonella was very responsive about a problem with the door lock. The tram at the end of the street takes you through the happening Trastevere neighborhood and right... More »
Our stay at Antonella's place was great, could not expect anything better!!! Really nice flat with everything you need for longer stay and the connection with city center flexible, just in few minutes you can reach historical center and the neighbourhood calm, with supermarket at your feet. I'd like to thenk Antonella and her daughter:)
My wife and I really loved this place and the surrounding neighborhood. Rome is very touristy, and it was great to experience the city like a local. It's quiet, safe, and a few blocks from the metro. Antonella was quick to respond to all of our questions. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
This apartment was in a spectacular location for the Trastavere and Vatican City areas. The apartment was spacious with a great kitchen and bathroom. Antonella's daughter was very kind and helped us with many guides and maps when we arrived. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely time in Antonella's flat. The place is perfect for two persons, clean, fully fitted, practical. It's located in a friendly neighborhood, far enough from the city's touristic crazyness and noise, but very close to the public transports which allow you to be in the center of Trastevere in 10 minutes and in the center of Rome 5 minutes later. Antonella was very nice and gave us good advises about where to go out and where to eat. We would definitely recommend this place!... More »
Good location, supermarked and the tram just around the corner. Antonella was very helpful. I would consider to stay there the next time I go to Rome
If you are looking for a great place to stay in Rome, this appartment offer all the necessities in a nice and quiet neighborhood. With a supermercado at a few steps and a very effecient tram at the end of the street, my week was amazing and i discover the lovely Trastevere.
We had a great time staying at Steve's house. Antonella's daughter met us at the apartment, gave us great tips as to where the locals eat for amazing food, and the apartment met the description very well. The apartment is very close to St Peter's and the Vatican, but about a 45 minute walk from the downtown tourist area. We'd recommend taking the 64 line bus to the downtown areas, but the bus stop is really close to the apartment, which makes it very easy. Overall, we loved our stay and would... More »
Antonella's mini-apartment is great and she is a perfect host. The apartment is located in a real Roman neighborhood away from tourist traps. All you have to do is hop on a tram and it will take you to the heart of Rome. The apartment is fully equipped. It is perfect for a couple of even someone with a baby, like ourselves. Thank you for your help, Antonella!! If we go back to Rome we will make sure to go to your place again.
We really enjoyed our stay in Roma in this small but cosy flat. Located in a quite and safe neighborhood, just 5 minutes walk from the Vatican. There is a good restaurant next to the building, some good pizza "take away" too. Flat is clean and well furnished. Great welcome from the owner too, with every information you need (maps, books,...) ready to be used. We just missed a terrace but it's not a big deal for a short stay.
Nice flat just beside the tram station that bring you quickly to Trastevere or city center. The flat had everything we needed and we appreciated the opportunity to cook there. You have little supermarket just beside that is very useful. We only regret that the bed was not one big single bed but two beds put together... just not very convinient for lovers :-)
A nice, comfortable apartment with easy access from the airport, convenient location with super transportation options (tram, trains, and bus,) nice and friendly markets across the street for food and drinks, with numerous pizzarias and cafes nearby. The hosts are warm, welcoming and informative with travel info and guidance if needed. We will be back for a longer stay in the future. That is the best recommendation of all I suppose.
We had a great time at Steve's house (the price-quality is excellent). The house is a good entrance to the city (400 meters from St. Pieter). Except from the nicely Trastevere to the house is a little bit difficult (taxies and buses drive on the other site of the Tiber). It's about 25 minutes walk and through a 300 meter-tunnel (we thought we could walk over the hill but we could only go through the tunnel). The apartment is a little bit hidden in an alley but it's a safe place. We had... More »
Antonella's apartment was perfect. It's a little bit outside the hustle and bustle of central Rome, but not by much, and the tram was so convenient to take right into the center of the city. The apartment itself was quiet, clean and well-equipped with things for making simple meals. We really enjoyed our stay here, and would love to go back!
The host canceled my reservation 2 days before arrival.
Good place to stay, very near from the the bus station, very clean. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the shower, it is incredibly small, the rest is great. I recommend this place.
Before we departed, Antonella gave us good directions to the flat which enabled us to find the place fairly easily (we made a slight wrong turning right at the end, but corrected easily enough). When we got there, Antonella was waiting for us inside, and we got a very thorough introduction to the flat, transport links and things to do in the area. The flat itself was small and basic, but had all the things we required for our 2 night stay. There is a single window, with no view except for... More »
Great apartment.Lovely bed and plenty of towels. cool in summer and excellent transport links into centre. Also very quiet tho opposite hospital. Supermarket opposite sells fresh bread for breakfast. A couple of good bars near by. Moira and Brian
My son and I stayed for three nights around Easter Sunday at Antonella's flat. We arrived late at night but were met graciously by her daughter with the keys and helpful information. The flat is conveniently located to frequent bus service -- the #3 bus goes direct to the Circo Massimo and the Colosseum, for example -- and also to Trastevere train station; there is also a late night place to eat nearby. The flat is spacious and comfortable and everything worked fine. I would stay there... More »
Antonella's place was a perfect match for our Rome trip. Easy access to the Tram which took us everywhere in Rome with ease. The apartmenet had everything we needed and their hospitality was golden. Would recommend this to anyone! The train from FCU is a half hr ride to apt. Very easy once you understand the train map. Ryan and Mary Welch
Antonella's flat is really cute and comfortable. We were confused in the Termini station and took the wrong bus (make sure you take bus "H" and it stops in the bus stop "J" haha). We called Antonella and she helped us to get to the right address :) Antonella left us a lot of guides and maps, pretty much everything you need to navigate through Rome! The kitchen is full of appliances and there's a supermarket nearby. We were also able to take the night owl bus to get to Termini station at... More »
Hello All, Antonella was a wonderful Host! The apt is as advertised. and everything a traveler could need is within walking distance. Terrific little Grocery store very close to apt and a 3 min walk to the bus stop. I would recomend to anyone.
Antonella and his daughter Livia give us all information about the flat and Rome (maps, guides, etc.). Apartment is well situated, in an authentic "italian district", not only touristique. Decoration and TV set are not up-to-date. Need an Internet point.
I was very impressed by both the Flat and Antonella It has convenient access to local grocery markets, shopping, and transportation to touristy areas. With Antonellas instruction I had no problem with finding the place. She's was very helpful and went out of her way to make me feel welcome. She's a great Lady who's on top of her game. Great Thanks!
A great location to experience Rome. Though not right in the middle of the crowds, the tram 1 block away will take you to Largo Argetina with ease in a short time. All of the basic services are within a couple minutes walk, which makes the location more convenient than overly-touristy districts. Very nice and clean flat. Thank you.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Antonella's a while ago and found her place to be wonderful. Her daughter was very friendly and was the one who greeted us and helped us get settled in. The apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable, conveniently located walking distance to a train that takes you right into the city center. Would definitely recommend again!
It was a very nice appartment not far to go for the sightseeing and Antonella was very friendly. Thanks a lot.
Antonella, what a great experience my wife and I had at your appartment. Only a one minute walk from the bus or tram stop, full market 20 meters from your door. I especially liked the laundry just around the corner that washed and folded our clothes for us while we were sightseeing. The extra maps and information available on the table was so helpful to finding our way around town on our arrival. Thanks so much for making our Rome vacation very memorable. Sincerely, Terry & Valerie
What to say? Looking at the map one might be convinced that Antonella's pad is far from the maddening crowd...not the least! A 5 minute tram ride takes you to the northernmost part of Trastevere where the bustling cafe and restaurant night time atmosphere has a real buzz about it and the narrow streets and historical buildings and churches convince you that the holiday really has begun! 1 minute further on the tram and you're in Largo Argentina, a two minute walk from the Pantheon, Piazza... What an excellent experience. My friend and I were given clear instructions on how to find the place from the train station, and to our delight our host was happily waiting to pass along the keys with a smile, detailed maps and recommendations for how to get around - all of this done cheerfully despite the fact that we arrived at midnight. The apartment was immaculate, functional. The bed one of the most comfortable we slept on during our whole voyage across Europe. Clean sheets, piles of... More »
