Staying at the cabin was great! It is a very quiet place, surrounded by trees, in a very nice area near Boston. If you need to relax between visits to the City, it's perfect. The room was very clean and comfortable. Phil and Julia are very kind! I recommend this place without hesitation.
As nice as a Swiss Chalet ! And I know what I am talking about !
As the weather was not good, I lighted a fire, had a turkish bath, etc....it was really relaxing !
We had a wonderful time at the cabin! We were looking for a low-key, peaceful, scenic getaway and that's exactly what it was. Phil and Julia were VERY accommodating and the neighborhood is beautiful (the pictures don't lie). Phil was easy to be in touch with and Julia made sure we had everything we needed while we were there (salt, pepper, extension chord, wine glasses, extra blankets, firewood). Thanks for a lovely weekend, we hope to come back in the near future!
Reade and I had a fantastic weekend at this apartment. From the moment we walked in, we fell in love with its modern comforts and rustic feel. We agree with everything that other Airbnbers have said - one thing that really struck us was the amazing smell of pine that permeated the entire cabin. Awesome for city dwellers like us! Also, Reade really had a fun time building fires (oh dear ...) and we both really enjoyed the steam shower (great for colds!). Julia was very generous with providing... More »
Phil has a great place! I really can't add more then what the other users have said. Impeccably clean and a great hideaway from the world. I would recommend having a little more wood and a microwave in and utensils in the breakfast room. However - simply awesome.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED the cabin!
pretty, organized, clean, with an incredible view! exactly like the picture!
the bathroom is wonderful!
I have not met phill! Julia is a super helpful person!
the cabin is super close to Boston, like 30 minutes!
with GPS, is super easy to find!
I loved this trip! thank you very much julia for everthing!

Started off my New Year with a stay at Phil's woodsy cabin over New Year's weekend. I loved his peaceful hideaway, and, yes, it certainly does look just like the photos here. Very clean and homey. Phil was away but his mom Julia was very helpful. I enjoyed the absence of television and other electronics. Watched the flames in the woodstove instead!
This little cabin in the woods is such a treasure. So many special little touches, the wood burning stove with enough logs to keep us warm and cozy all night, the amazing steam shower with a view of the woods, sunny breezeway with treats for breakfast. I especially enjoyed many cups of herbal tea!
Phil and Julia were both very kind and communicative. We really appreciated them accommodating our late evening arrival
We certainly hope to be back!
Phil was great to have as a guest. He left everything clean, was very courteous, and a great conversationalist to boot! I highly recommend Phil to anyone who may be inviting Phil into his/her home!!
We hosted Phil for a couple of nights. He's been a respectful and pleasant guest. We had the chance to chat over a glass of wine and he was very entertaining. Would definitely recommend him.
Short but nice visit of Phil.
He was very respectful, clean, peaceful and clever.
We had the opportunity to share and talk a bit but 3 days is little time.
No doubts in highly recommend or host him again.
