I am a postdoctoral fellow at a local cancer center. I am currently involved with multiple activities after work and spend only minimal time at home. I am a laid-back American and have many international friends as a result of working in a very diverse cancer lab. I love to travel but I also enjoy many hobbies such as biking, skiing, cooking and listening to great music.

We cannot thank Doug enough for making our first Airbnb experience a very enjoyable one. Doug is very easy-going and made us feel instantly at ease! He was also very knowledgable about Boston and gave us very useful tips for visiting during our 3 days. He also made us discover some nice American cheese which we loved ( we are from France) along with some nice American wines. As a side note, Doug makes great carrot soup! His place is in a perfect location for visits, right between Harvard.... More »

This was my first experience using airbnb and I'm pleased to say that it was better than i had expected. Doug was the perfect host, welcoming, friendly and just really down to earth. The apartment is really spacious and the room has everything you could need. The location is awesome, just a few minutes stroll from the T station and in a really cool neighbourhood. I would definitely recommend staying with Doug and if i return to Boston he will be the first person i call!

Doug is the bomb!! Perfect Host. Very fast communicator. His place is clean. Very close to everything you could possibly want in the Boston area. 3 thumbs up. definitely look forward to cruising back there and crashing at his place as well as having him journey West and stay with my at my place in Hollywood. Bueno all the way around. Doug rocks!!!

The apt is spacious, modern, and clean. Nice bathroom with a good shower. The room provided has a comfortable bed, desk, and a/c. There is subway station a few minutes away and a Whole Foods even closer. Doug is a real nice guy – friendly, hospitable, and considerate. I certainly recommend his place and would stay there again.

My girlfriend and I stayed there for two nights. Douglas is really a nice host and his room is clean and quite. The location is quite good and very convenience to reach MIT and public transportation.

Doug's place is really nice and I had a wonderful time here! As a female I felt extremely safe and had no worries. Doug is very kind and even offered for me to hang out with him and his friends. He is like an instant friend, very trustworthy and always willing to help. He will definitely always be my first option whenever I come to Boston.

We stayed with Doug while checking out potential colleges in the area. It was a short walk to the T and a short ride to the major hub if we needed to transfer lines. It was a great place to stay; Doug is friendly, and knows the city well if you need information.

During my 3-day trip to Boston I stayed @ Doug's spacious place and I definitively enjoyed my time over there. It is a gorgeous, comfortable and for public transportation excellent located apartment which really makes you feel @ home instantaneously. Doug is a nice guy to chat with and during my short-term visit we even made it to watch a movie - improving my English skills ;-) Thus, definitively recommended as host! Thanks Doug!

Douglas was a very helpful and accommodating host. His apartment is beautiful (love the wood floors!) and very clean. It's in a great neighborhood in Cambridge, very close to the train and walking distance from some excellent restaurants, bars and music venues. We stayed during a brutal heat wave, and the room was extremely comfortable. Highly recommend!

Doug is a great host... welcoming and respectful of privacy. The apartment is clean, comfortable, bright and well-appointed. Note: the bed is a futon and not a mattress. I would stay here again if I am back in town.

Great place, 5 minute walk to train, 3 stops from city centre, one stop from harvard. Nice room, great apartment, nice guy! 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants/bottleshops :)

Fantastic location (less than 10 minutes from Central Sq. and less than 5 minutes from Whole Foods). Place was spacious and clean. Doug was really laid back and I felt right at home the moment I arrived. While I was busy most of the week doing my own thing we did manage to hang out and watch a movie. At Doug's you become another roommate and are considered part of the household during your stay.

Doug is a great guy, and he's got the most awesome apartment in Cambridge: huge, top floor, with balcony, ultramodern kitchen and comfy couches. And it's in a great location: just a short walk to Whole Foods or Central Square. Reccommended!
