I am a photographer and my husband is a writer. We have lived in Hyde Park for 35 years and raised two children here. We run, bike, and swim with our chocolate lab, Azzi, and love to hike. We have lived in this apartment for 11 years and did extensive rehab. We garden in a community garden in the neighborhood and do a lot of cooking.

I stayed at Patricia and Jamie's apartment while attending a conference at the University of Chicago. Their apartment was amazing--the room I stayed in was comfortable and had a private bathroom. Patricia and Jamie were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was an ideal Airbnb experience.

This was our first Airbnb experience and it couldn't have been better. Fascinating, friendly hosts. Attractive, comfortable accommodations. Great breakfast with homemade bread and granola. Very highly recommended.

We came to the apartment not knowing what to expect and were overwhelmed by the facilities and our wonderful hosts. Honestly, there is no better place to stay in Chicago. Here is a list of what to expect when you sign up with this bnb. 1. Spacious room with your own TV, wifi, huge bathroom. Many extra bathroom amenities were also provided. 2. I've stayed many times with Jamie and Patsy, whenever I come to the U of C neighborhood. They are delightful people and I always feel welcome and comfortable in their home. Private quiet comfortable bedroom and bath. Hard to say which is better - the coffee or the conversation.

I'm a frequent guest of Patricia and her husband. Their apartment is safe, quiet, roomy, comfortable, sparely elegant, in a lovely neighborhood, and ideally located for business or pleasure in Hyde Park or the Loop (express bus & the rarely crowded Lake Shore Drive very close & get you downtown in 10 minutes). The host and hostess are gracious, interesting, interested in others, helpful, and respect the limited time you have in town. All this for a price no hotel can match.

Patsy and Jamie are wonderful people who have made a beautiful home. They live across the park for us and we regularly care for their dog when they are traveling. I've spent a lot of time in their apartment and feel very at home in their space. It's a quiet and calm retreat from the city and I've spent many lovely mornings sitting on their veranda drinking coffee. Their dog Azzi is very sweet and mostly keeps to himself. I highly recommend staying with Patsy and Jamie if you visiting Hyde Park.
