  Susan and Cali were wonderful hostess! They both made me feel right at home. Susan was a pleasure to talk with and makes a wonderful apple cake!!! My stay was not incredibly long, but she made great suggestions if my time allowed for things to check out and reading on the plane home. The location is perfect with easy access to the BART, cable car and bus.

  Susan is about the best host anyone could ask for. She had everything ready for me, and was very accommodating of my extraordinarily delayed flight. Her cat is adorable and her banana bread is to die for. The room is quiet and comfortable, away from the street so there's not too much noise. Wifi is available and Susan has a great list of local amenities to share when you arrive.   Susan was perfectly nice and the place was clean. I think was a fair value for what I paid and there was nothing that she said was different from what I experienced. All and all pretty good experience. Only downside is the entrance way to her place was a bit weathered.

  This was my first Airbnb experience, and any doubt about the service and experience I had prior went out the window. Susan was responsive from the start, communicated clearly, and as an early Airbnb adopter she was a great source of information, not to mention an accommodating and open host. As a first-time user, I think I was most anxious about feeling like I'm somehow trespassing or being a burden on my host, so it was great that Susan keeps to her own routine.

  Good location and safe area to walk at night. Should be mentioned that the view out of the bedroom is a concrete wall, and with no living room you don't want to plan to do anything but sleep here. The building is very old, and for those who are allergic to mould you want to give careful consideration to a stay.   We stayed 3 days with Susan in Nobb Hill and had a great time in SFO. The apartment is nice and clean and is situated very central. Susan gave us a lot of helpful and good tips with restaurants/bars etc. We can highly recommend this place!

  My stay at Susan's was perfect. I needed an easy place to stay at, close to Union Square, and this was close enough to the action without being overrun by tourists as you walk out the door. The room is spotless and very well furnished. The futon is remarkably comfortable! There is also a TV and a generous selection of DVDs. Bathroom was also spotless and enjoyable. Susan was very hospitable and her cat is adorable (and didn't make a peep at night).

  I only stayed at Susan's place for one night, but I would recommend it to anyone. I got a warm welcome -with a superb homemade muffin and recommendations for good nearby restaurants and shops. The room was really nice and the flat had all that I needed, including great location.

  I completely agree with previous comments. I stayed in Susan's appartment for 6 nights, and was a very good place. The internet connection worked perfectly, the breakfast was good with delicious banana bread or apple kuchen (homemade) The location is very quiet and silent.

It is a lovely place, very clean, uncluttered and on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle.   Susan's Nest on the Hill is a small but very charming, comfortable, very clean and well located apartment.   I was only there for one night, but, I would definitely stay with Susan again. I had my car with me and Susan provided a long list of nearby parking garages to choose from. I used the Tower Valet garage at 840 Sutter street (aka Butterick) and was quite happy with them. $21 per day with in/out access to the car. The place is clean and cozy. I'm more of a dog person than a cat person, but, I really liked her charming cat too.

  Susan baked me a quiche. I felt badly that I never ate it, but it wasn't any reflection on her cooking skills, and I thought it was very thoughtful of her. She has a cat that I found to be quite a charming critter. It was happy to interact with me, but not demanding of attention.   Susan's nest on Nob Hill was the perfect introduction to Air BnB! With less than 24 hours notice (maybe even 8 hours!), Susan was able to accomodate me. From the delightful decorations, french press lessons, and help with printing a document, Susan and her nook were absolutely fabulous! My only gripe is that I could only stay for a day.   Susan was welcoming and hospitable; I always felt comfortable as her guest. Her Nob Hill apartment is full of character and in a convenient spot for exploring the city. Susan's cat is very playful, and her collection of food and cooking books was fun to look through. I wasn't able to get wifi at Susan's place, but on her suggestion I went down the street to the Cup-a-Joe coffee house, which worked out perfectly.

We only felt a little uncomfortable that Susan herself needed to sleep on a sofa/couch when she has guests. The neighborhood is great to stay too, much better then the hotel in SF where we stayed 2 nights before (7th street).
