Artist/Technologist
I'm an easygoing, terminal west-coaster rooted in Seattle, WA. My interests are pretty varied, but I'm generally most concerned with making music and other creative activities.
Other things that I enjoy greatly are fine foods (running the gamut from steak tartar to bean curd, Thai to Tuscan and all things in between), hearty beer (ok..pretty much all beer except american macrobrews), potent music (Beefheart to Boards of Canada), and really anything I can personally classify as a new experience. I really, really enjoy new experiences.
I've spent a fair amount of time exploring Western Europe with emphasis placed on experiencing it as a local would... One of my favorite things is stepping into some hidden, off the beaten path establishment and hearing "How did you find us?" from the perplexed proprietor or patrons. I've also been around the US quite a bit, and I consider myself to be at least functionally travelled.
I have very few needs when I'm on the road. Hostels to extreme urban camping, you name it, I've done it...so a cot, a restroom, and a modicum of privacy are generally all that I require. While I can enjoy creature comforts, I am more interested in exploring the surroundings than holing up in my sleeping quarters.
