  I decided at the last minute to take a "staycation" the weekend before my kids returned from summer at the grands. Barbara responded so quickly and so efficiently that I knew I would be staying with her! I was able to choose my room and both had doors onto a lovely garden. The bird song was fantastic.   Great location very close to Venice canals, beach and restaurants. Barbara was very friendly and allowed you to come and go as you please. She also runs a yacht charter service for those with large or small parties. Barbara is also into new age ideas. Continental breakfast was served in the morning. Very safe area day or night. Quiet neihborhood. I had a good stay.

  Barbara was very gracious and friendly. the room was small yet the bed was big and cushy. The house is in a great location which I highly recommend for beach access. The bathtub doesn't work which was a disappointment after a long day's seminar for a bath-lover like myself. I would recommend Barbara put pillowcases on all the pillows on the bed as two didn't have cases and I thought that was not so nice. All in all it was an enjoyable stay in a great location.

  Barbara is a very nice hostess. Her house is tastefully decorated. She also runs a yacht chartering service which keeps her busy. She readily refunded $7 per day for the breakfast since we decided to eat out. Pros: Nice hostess, artful decor, great location (right by Venice Canals), come and go as you please (no curfew).
