At home as an artist/teacher
My very favorite word is "fun". In my work as Director of Volunteers & Activities at a nursing home in Massachusetts, I used that word all the time. I moved to Tucson, AZ, in 1993, never thinking I would ever build a home - never mind a dome home. But in April, 1999, I moved into "my new life" and amazing home. I've been on the Tucson Innovative Home Tour for the past 5 years, and co-authored a book called House As Teacher, Building the Future Now... about Star Bear Domes.
I am a sculptor and a painter, and love what I do... and thought that I could combine my art skills with my people skills - support my house, and have some fun with Bed n' Art. Sculpture has been really easy for me, and I know that in one or more lifetimes, I worked with clay and other art forms.
I look for the soul in my portraits - with images seen and unseen.
Life is an incredible adventure - and it's a privilege to be alive at this time.
What's my life motto? Say YES and then Go For It and have FUN doing it.
