We had a great time at Melissa's apartment! It's very tastefully decorated/furnished and has everything you'd need to make you feel a bit like a "NYC resident". Melissa is exceedingly helpful and personable, and the very friendly area boasts countless bars and restaurants. It is central and buzzy, but the apartment itself is very quiet (and the bed is a dream!). We would certainly try and stay here again... Thanks Melissa, and I hope we'll meet again one day!
We had a brilliant time at Melissa's place. The apartment was clean, cosy and in a great location. East Village was brilliant. Melissa was really helpful and flexible about our arrival which was great. We would definitely stay there again!
Melissa´s apartment was perfect for us. Location was just great, there were lots of nice restaurants nearby and it felt really safe at all hours.
The cat was no problem at all, because she hardly showed up and Melissa was very accesible before and during the trip.

Melissa is an outstanding host and her charming, cozy apartment provides great refuge in the East Village. As stated in other reviews, her apartment is actually larger than the photos on her listing make it appear. She keeps it very clean and neat. We greatly enjoyed the solitude of her side street, which was still close to the most exciting parts of the East Village. Incredibly accessible to multiple subway lines, this is just about as good a location as one could find in Lower Manhattan.

Bed was amazingly comfortable as was the great big couch.

Staying at Melissa's apartment was a great experience for us! A couple of weeks before our arrival she sent us her welcome letter, which was very helpful. She gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and showed us around. The apartment was very clean, nicely decorated and gave us a very homelike feeling. Got the Melissa's home very quickly, found rather easiiy. Pleasant location with a lot of different restaurants around, authentic historic quiet house, we liked it very much.
We had a wonderful time in Melissa 's appartment. Her place is very clean and confortable and it is well decorated so you really feel like at home. East village is a wonderful area, the street is quiet even if the neighborhood is vibrant with lot of nice shops, bars and restaurant to go.

Melissas apartment was awesome. Everything was spotless and so comfortable. We ended up coming in early and she accommodated us perfectly. There are many subways located near by which made for easy transportation. Her apartment in the east village is the perfect location. Hope to stay there during our next visit.

This apartment ended up being perfect. The price, location, and the apt itself were great. Great places to eat right downstairs, subway just a couple blocks away, and felt very safe. The apartment was even bigger than it looks in pictures, super clean, cable/internet, full kitchen.....couldn't have asked for a better place!
Melissa stayed at our house while I was out of town and I can't say there was any trace of her even stepping foot in the house... except to leave us a wonderful review! I would rebook Melissa anytime.
