(This is a review for the Gallo House - Borghese Room that we stayed while visiting Rome. We had about 15 minutes face time with the host throughout our four nights stay (Marco was the name), hence this review refers to the place rather then the host.) We stayed 5 nights in a room in Marco's apartment. He was a wonderful host, was there to help if we had questions and respected our privacy the rest of the time. I was a little concerned about sharing the bathroom, but never found it to be a problem. They keep the place extremely clean. As another reviewer mentioned, Marco does have a lot of rules. We enjoyed our stay. Marco is helpful and gave us good tips about the transportation system and the local sites. \lovely breakfasts, easy access to the Vatican City, close to the subway and local bus. The apartment has no sign, so it is important to have easy phone contact to be sure one is at the right place.

Very nice room in a nice neighborhood and very convenient to Rome's sights and public transportation. Bed is very comfortable and the neighborhood is very quiet. Breakfast was nice. The shower is not what most Americans are used to; no curtain and the tub is kind of small and the faucet is a little finicky to get the temperature right. Marco is very nice and very helpful in planning your stay and recommending nice restaurants. Be sure to use his directions from the airport!

stayed 4 nights, well located close to the Vatican, very clean, good bed,nice bathroom close by, hot water ify, room needs more heat with tile floors. Host helpful and friendly but little contact as he works. Lots of information in room maps ect. Lots of rules posted in room (four places). Continental Breakfast included

We had a great experience staying in this quiet and spacious room. Marco was very accommodating and the location of the apartment is wonderful. The Gallo House at Vatican was a great value!
