Hello everybody
I've traveled extensively, and have had many wonderful experiences with local people, and I appreciate that very much. I remember when I was young in particular, and I would thank a stranger in a foreign country for some small act of kindess, I was often told to do something kind some day for someone else. So here I am.
I like to cook; I have over 100 cookbooks on shelves in my kitchen, so perhaps we can share a meal or two. My cooking leans towards healthy- plant-based, as they say these days- salads, whole grain breads, roasted veggies, smoothies, fruit desserts, etc.
I like to bike and go almost everyday in one direction or another, but I am a casual biker with upright handlebars and a fat comfy seat,and I usually stop at a cafe somewhere for a cup of coffee. I have an extra women's bike, also with upright handlebars and fat seat which you are welcome to use, and you may join me on bike rides as well, if you wish.
It's hard to pick favorite cities- but I really enjoy London, Paris, Rome, Stockholm, Copenhagen. I also have had really wonderful experiences hiking in the Alps, and in many small villages there and in other European countries.
I've taken French on an off over the years, because I think its a beautiful language, and have had many nice experiences in France, but its a bit rusty!
I believe in the golden rule- "Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you."
