I am a writer working on a book about a homesteading community in northwest Colorado. I grew up in Colorado but I have lived and worked in West Virginia and now Texas. I've traveled to many parts of the world -- Russia and Syria to visit my daughters when they were studying abroad, Japan, Chile, Europe, Mexico and we've all been to Guatemala many times. I have two grown daughters and an 11 year-old daughter who is in 6th grade. My husband is works for a national conservation organization. We spend a lot of time outdoors -- walking, biking, canoeing. We also love to build things and did much of the work on the Aerie ourselves.
We've traveled enough to appreciate hospitality and how people can make you feel comfortable and at home. We won't intrude on your life but we will be available if you need us.
