We stayed in Rome in the icy snowy time, very unusual for the city but very beutiful. The flat is very nice, compact, has everything needed, even a small italian coffee machine) It was very warm and cosy to stay and Massimo is very nice and caring host. Definitelly a great location with everything from Carfour shop to restaurant and coffe just 1 minute away from the door. Thanks again!
February 2012Absolutely a perfect location (10 minutes walk from Vatican City and the museum) and a very nice place. Massimo the host was very nice, helpful and everything worked out fine for us. He left us with a bottle of white wine and some croissant. Although I don’t drink, I though it was very thoughtful of him. I would recommend his place to anyone anytime.
Massimo was an excellent host! He gave us the most detailed and informative map of the city, as well as some tips on where to go/eat/see, and also left us with some nice continental breakfast and a bottle of wine which was a nice touch. Room-wise you will get everything you need (including hair dryer!), plus the apartment is excellently located - a mere 5-10 minute walk to the Vatican, with bus systems also taking you into the center of Rome. Highly, highly recommended!!
Great location for a vacation in Rome!! We are a family of 4 with 2 small children and this apartment was perfect for us. It is so conveniently located to hop on a bus or train to all of the sights of Rome and the Vatican is just a few minutes walk away. There are some great restaurants and shops just out the door including a grocery store. We drove our car and were able to find a parking space fairly easily which is tough to do in Rome! We would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a... More »
My husband and I stayed 5 nights at the flat we found Massimo most charming and the perfect host taking time to explain how to get around Rome via both train and Bus where to dine. and points of itnerest The flat is small with adequate kitchen laundry facilities The location is fantastic close to the Vatican bus and train with several lovely reataurants close by.
Apartment is very well located, small but convenient. Massimo came around in the evening to help us plan our itinerary which was very helpful. All in all would go back to the apartment. We had a wonderful stay
My girlfriend and I stayed in Massimo's apartment for 6 nights and found it to be virtually perfect. Massimo was an incredibly kind and accommodating host, even after we showed up over an hour late. The location, an easy walk to the Vatican, was great for launching trips to all of Rome. Massimo also oriented us to the main sights of the city, which made it much easier for us to find our way around. I would recommend Massimo and his apartment to any couples staying in Rome.
Massimo is a true scholar and gentleman. A family man who treats you like a member of his family. His concern for your comfort and safety is genuine and he goes out of his way to provide extra touches that make one's stay pleasantly memorable.
Massimo is a fantastic host! A friend and I traveled to Italy for 3 weeks, using Airbnb and another site to book apartments. Massimo was by far the best and most gracious host, even providing food for guests. He spent extra time with us to be sure we knew how everything worked and how to access places we wanted to visit. He took us out for espresso and made us feel very welcome in a city unfamiliar to us. The flat was perfect for two of us and in a great location, easy walking distance to... More »
The apartment is in a very good location, very clean and comfortable. The hosts are very nice people. We enjoyed a lot our stay in Rome in this apartment. We highly recommend it, and will be happy to return the next time that we travel to Rome.
We really enjoyed our stay in Rome! Massimo was an excellent host. He met us on our day of arrival and even gave us a bottle of wine! The flat is located next to a bus stop, so it was easy getting into the centre of town. The flat is spacious and clean with a little kitcken. There is also a supermarket close by. Highly recommended!
Its in a great location, great for a couple to just have a place to come home and relax, with a awesome restaurant downstairs with amazing Italian food, also privacy in the middle of Rome is hard to come by, Just 5 min from the Vatican and all its splendor, Masimo our host went out of his way to help us get settled in, it was great to have someone locally who genuinely cared, going as far as to say that no matter where you are in Italy if you need help please do not be a afraid to call,... Massimo and his unit was amazing! thank so much for the great tips, the welcome gifts and excellent service. From the momen we met Massimo til the time we left Massimo was helpful, friendly and professional. We will definately stay again given the chance.
Rome was our third stop on our European tour and our second Airbnb experience. Massimo was amazing. He waited over an hour for us due to train issues and still he was kind and ready to give us any information that would help with our tour through Rome and the Vatican and let us know he was available if we had any problems. He also left us stocked with a bottle of wine and some snacks. The place was clean, spacious, and cozy. I would totally recommend this place because it is accessible to... More »
İt was wanderfull experience. The masssimo flat was clean, in good location and very comfortable. As having 2 children family we feel us in our home. Massimo help us so much. İ suggest this flat everybody and i come again to Roma i know wherei will stay.
Massimo is an excellent host - the best we could have hoped for! While he wasn't there to greet us personally, he made sure everything was in order for our arrival. We arrived a bit earlier than checkin, but we were able to leave our luggage at the accommodation while the cleaner, Helena, went about cleaning the apartment. Massimo was always in contact with us to make sure our stay was enjoyable, and we always felt comfortable to contact him if we needed to ask any questions. Definitely worth... More »
There were 4 of us staying in Massimo's apartment, he was very accommodating with everything, unfortunately we didn't get a chance to meet Massimo but communication between us was very easy and his directions were very helpful. The apartment is very clean and well stocked - we had everything we needed. It's nice and close to the Vatican which was good and transport was very easy to and from the apartment. The apartment was a bit small for the 4 of us but one night there was only two and... More »
We had a pleasant stay at Massimo's flat. What we found impressive was the extra effort he made during check-in to brief us about the flat's amenities and location, answer our queries, suggest places to visit in Rome, help us make sure the internet connection was working etc. He even demonstrated how to make a nice cup of Italian coffee! We also appreciated the breakfast which was provided. :) The flat contained everything we need (washing machine, kitchen, functional shower etc) and the... More »
Massimo was a wonderful host! He was in contact with us before our flight and as we arrived in Italy. He stocked the refrigerater and the kitchen so that we did not have to immediately go to the store. The apartment was clean and in a great location. He visited with us and was so very helpful! We are telling all of our friends about the terrific experience he provided! We wish many blessings upon him and his family as he continues to host many guests!
This was my first time using Airbnb - and I am definitely hooked. The place is very good and much better than staying at a hotel - Massimo was able to accommodate my early arrival - which no hotel will do - you have a fully operating kitchen and a grocery store steps away in a very safe neighborhood. Don't hesitate to stay here - it will really make your stay in Rome much more fun. Like the other reviewers - I wish we had stayed here longer.
The owner Mossimo was always very easy to communicate with and very accommodating to us and out 14 month old son. We were met by the cleaner who was very friendly and showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment. Mossimo made a special effort to stop in on his way home from work the next day, just to introduce himself and make sure we were comfortable. A promised there was some food in the kitchen left for us for breakfast and a basic dinner. The apartment was very clean... More »
As a family of four we have to say that the apartment was really well located particularly for its proximity to the Vatican. However it is also in easy proximity of Rome's major attractions by public transport. We found the apartment to be clean, comfortable and had all the amenities that were needed. What makes this place particularly special is the support and advice that our host Massimo gave us. He was always available from arrival and anytime during our visit should any problems... More »
We chose this apartment due to its proximity to the Vatican City. However, we were disappointed that it is a 10 min walk instead of a 1 min walk as mentioned in the write-up about the apartment. The instructions given about how to get to the apartment by bus and where to alight from the bus was not very clear. We were told that it's the 2nd last stop before the San Pietro Railway Station. Though we tried asking the driver and some passengers, no one knew exactly where we were going. By... More »
The apartment while small was very clean and just what we needed. Even though we didn't meet Massimo in person, he was very helpful over email and the phone. The area the apartment is in has several great restaurants and bars nearby. Would recommend the apartment!
We had a wonderful visit in Rome! Massimo wasextremely helpful and his apartment was in a great location. It is very close to the Vatican as well as a train station and the San Pietro bus stop. We were able to use the public transportation and get on the sightseeing bus at the Vatican stop. When we're in Rome again, we will definitely check out availability at Massimo's first.
We spent three nights at this charming apartment. It was an easy walk to the Vatican, further to get into the center of the city (but easy to take a bus). The apartment was spotless, Massimo provided us with milk, coffee, breakfast rolls, wine and the ability to make an easy pasta dinner for ourselves. His concern for our welfare was lovely! Also, we had a terrific and sensibly priced dinner right downstairs from the apartment, maybe thirty steps toward the Vatican (sorry, don't... More »
Massimo is an excellent host. He treated us to coffee at a nearby cafe upon our arrival, made sure we knew everything we need to know about Rome, and provided us his cell phone in case we needed help. The room is very clean, and has everything you could need for a holiday in Rome. I would highly recommend him... My wife and I will certainly stay at his place the next time we are in Rome.
This is a great apartment in a great location. We spent 4 nights and the location could not have been better. Massimo is a great host. He provided us with great information on places to visit and transportation. He was just a phone call away if you need him or any additional information. The apartment was great for the 2 of us seniors. It was spotless, the small kitchen was well supplied with dishes, pots and pans, etc. for cooking. There was a Carrefour Express Grocery only a few steps... More »
I visited Europe with my parents and brother in May. Massimo was a fantastic host. The apartment is comfortable and very close to the Vatican (and from there you can take the Subway, or you can catch a bus a couple of blocks away from Massimo's place to the center of Rome). Massimo was checking on us very kindly and when I broke the key he came to leave a new one even when it was Sunday night. Thanks Massimo.
My husband and I stayed at Massimo's place for 2 nights and we had a fantastic experience. Though we did not have the pleasure to meet Mr. Roda in person but his assistant oriented us to the room. Massimo is extremely responsive whenever we contact him and we appreciate his thoughtful hospitality in providing some juice, wine, and breakfast for us. The Carrefour Express that is steps from the apartment is great. We took great advantage of the buses close to the apartment and it takes you to... More »
A great location close to the Vatican sites. Easy walk to many attractions and about a 12 euro ride to Roma Termini. Massimo provided us with several good tips via email before we began our trip. We were staying in Roma during the beatification rites for John Paul and Massimo met us the evening before our move in to get us the keys which would have been difficult if not impossible on Sunday.
We stayed at Massimo´s appartment for two nights. The appartment is great, fully equipped with everything you might need in a really nice neighborhood. Massimo was really fantastic, giving us the opportunity to arrive early at the appartment even when he couldn´t be there, and facilitating our stay as much as he could. He was always only one phone call away from us. we just met him the night before we left and he was extremely kind and helpful, not having any trouble in scheduling an early... More »
My friends and I stayed at Massimo's for 5 nights and we had a fantastic time; Massimo was the perfect host. This is a great place to stay. Close to Vatican, handy to local shops for self catering, and Massimo is very helpful.
Massimo is an excellent host and provided lots of little things that helped make our stay enjoyable. The apartment is quiet and comfortable for two people.
This property is really nice and very conviniently located just behind St Peter;s square. Great restaurants, shopping and more just around the block. Massisimo was awesome as a host, we got in late due to a delayed flight and he had kindly bought breakfast and a bottle of wine to welcome us, so we got a great start to our Roman Vacation. Would stay here again and again.
We enjoyed our stay in this verywell appointed apartment. Or stay was all too brief(2 days) but Marssimo and his partner made us feel wecome with a bottle of wine and croisants. Recomended for for value and location.
Upon our arrival in Rome we met his wife outside the apartment, she introduced us to the apartment and all that was necessary for our use. Only thing she left out was where to dry our clothes after washing them, some stuff hung out the bedroom window but the other stuff redecorated the apartment. Also key point turn off broiler before taking a shower you can scald yourself the water gets boiling hot, even when doing dishes. But remember to turn it back on! He was a sweetheart he bought... Massimo was the quintessential host. From our first interaction several months ago through our actual stay, Massimo made us feel welcome and well cared for. He went out of his way to advise us on things to do in Rome, to provide details about his apartment, and generally to make us feel extremely welcome. Customer service is paramount, especially when traveling, and in this regard Massimo's attention to the needs of his guests is supreme. We look forward to staying in touch with our new... More »

we had a really nice time staying at massimo's apartment near the vatican over the holidays. His wife was kind enough to come meet us with the key, even tho we had not figured out how to use our phone yet and give him some advance notice. Hospitality: Massimo was a great host! He made sure his wife was there to let us in as soon as we arrived, and left us a welcome breakfast basket. He later stopped by to introduce himself (very nice and sociable guy), as well as make sure to answer any questions that we may have had about the flat. We didn't get to meet Massimo because he is on vacation too, but Minar - his cleaning lady was waiting for us when we arrived. The only glitch was that electricity was out in the evening when we happened to use air-conditioning, washer, shower and water boiler at the same time (something to pay attention to). It took us a while and knocked on neighbour's door to find out the reset button. (it's hidden in the cabinet next to the door. It was quite an adventure). We've been to Rome before, so... More »
We spent three nights at Massimo's apartment and we found it a great location to travel around Rome. The apartment was comfortable for me and my three children. Max was always available for any questions or concerns we had. We definitely will be back there when we return to Rome. The price was right too. We definitely would recommend anybody to rent this apartment.
The apartment was small but because we wanted to spend as much time in the heart of Rome as possible, it ended up being rather cozy. The location of the apartment was a bit farther out than originally thought but the proximity to the Vatican was ideal. Mr. Roda was an excellent host and was only a phone call away if we needed him. The bathroom was the only source of ill contentment due to a confused shower head and unpleasant order with the towels.
My two daughters and I stayed in Rome for 2 nights the every end of July 2010. Massimo was a wonderful host. When we got to the train station I sent Massimo a text and he met us at the flat within two minutes of us getting there. He brought some very tasty bread and great strawberry marmalade when he came! We were four adults and stayed at the apartment for four nights, there were two bed settees in two seperate rooms, it was cosy and had all we needed. Internet was included which was a great help. Thanks again Massimo.
Massimo has stayed at my apt and I got the pleasure of getting to know him. His profile pretty much says it all. He is a very friendly, caring, honest guy. WIth two beautiful children and I'm sure a gorgeous wife, although I have not met her...yet! I hope to visit Rome one day and will definitely plan to stay at Massimo's place. I'm sure I will be well taken care of as you would too.
