Hello...I'm Luigi and with my wife live the Oltrarno area of Florence. It's perfect because not really touristy.We've been living long time in NYC and moved back to Florence in 2003 where we opened a store.
we love: antique things, history,architecture,
red wine,travel,being cool and nice with the people,dogs,writing,reading,
dogs,nature. Also we like to give the best tips in town and all around Italy.
In Florence we like to let people discover our favourite rastaurants,bars,internet cafes,our favourite wines,dishes,take people to hidden secret Florentine places....we also make cooking classes,wine-tasting and Tuscany trips discovering castles,beaches and our beautiful country-side with its ancient history and legends.

Wonderful hosts, amazing location and a perfect apartment for my visit to Florence. Close to everything, but away from the busy tourist areas. I felt like a local. Thanks again to my hosts for making my first visit to Florence a wonderful adventure.

We had a nice stay in Luigi's apartment. Him and his wife are kind, responsive, and great hosts. The apartment was very clean and really cute. Great place for a couple to stay. The only downside was the noise from the cafe downstairs, but like the other reviewer who mentioned this, I had earplugs and was not bothered at all once they were in. We had a great time at Luigi & Graciela's small studio. The location was great, and both Luigi & Graciela were very helpful. It was great for two people, and the neighborhood was wonderful.

Do not walk but run to rent this charming little apartment within easy walking distance from the train station AND all the major attractions of Firenze and three blocks away from perhaps the best gelateria in Florence, La Carraia My gilrfriend and I spent a splendid one week in this apartment exploring the joys of Firenze and Toscana.

This is a cute apartment in a charming area that is very centrally located. Its a nice 10 minute walk from the apartment, over the river where all the areas of interest to most visiters are. The host was very helpful, giving me detailed directions on how to find the apartment, meeting me at the apartment immediately, and offering to call me a taxi when it was time to check out, and showing me all the places she recommended me to visit in Florence. Loved this apartment - cool neighbourhood, within walking distance to everything but removed enough to provide some peace and quiet away from the crowds. It's a tiny apartment but has everything you need. I stayed on my own and it was a perfect size. Luigi and his partner were fabulous, from leaving water and a snack in the fridge for my arrival, to giving me some excellent recommendations for things to see and do while I was in Florence, and even booking a taxi on my last day. We had a wonderful stay at Luigi's apartment. It's in a great location in a really cool and safe neighbourhood, and it's close enough to everything without being too close - you're far enough from the crazy crowds that you can sleep in peace. Communication was always good, Luigi even called us after we'd left to make sure we'd got away alright. Cozy and comfy, would reccomend especially for couples.

Luigi's studio apartment was a dream! Not only was it cute as a button and extremely affordable it was within walking distance of just about every major feature/attraction in Florence not to mention a nearby market and performance space and outstanding restaurants less than 2 blocks away! I will miss this place and its nice hosts Luigi ans Graziella! I felt us welcome and was really like home there. The location of the apt is greate, quite close to vibrant Santo Spirito, but not too close for hearing all the noice from the square. Though the place can not be called totally calm and quiet aniway, we regarded it as an advantage and enjoyed small local Caffe Notte right under our windows. I absolutely loved staying in this charming and quirky studio apartment during my five days in Firenze in February. Luigi was extremely helpful, friendly and easy to contact, so I felt right at ease right away. I must say that the apartment has a personality that requires a short adjustment period, but I personally found that to be a fun experience. Luigi and his wife went out of their way to help me get settled into the apt. and into Florence and to make sure that my stay was enjoyable. Very nice people! The apt. was neat and clean and had everything I needed, and the proximity to the main tourist attractions was a big bonus. I'm so glad that I stayed there - it truly enhanced my Florence experience.

We enjoyed our three nights at Luigi's place. It served as a great launching pad for our explorations of Florence. The Oltrarno area is a quite neighborhood with many interesting shops and restaurants. It isn't nearly as touristy as the downtown area. Luigi and his wife were very nice to work with. We had absolutely the BEST time in Florence staying at Luigi's home! The location was perfect and convenient for traveling anywhere in the city. Luigi's place was comfortable, safe and warm. Audrey even wanted to live there she loved it so much. We cannot say enough good things about it. He even gave us recommendations of great local neighborhood restaurants and made reservations for us! The apartment was in a nice neighborhood. After traveling by train all day to arrive and have to find Luigi at his store rather than the apartment that I had a map for was a bit frustrating. We walked around with our luggage for an hour before finding him and then were told that the apartment would not be cleaned and ready for another 2 hours.

The apartment was so wonderful! Luigi and Graciela were very hospitable and even had a plate of yogurt and fresh fruit with bottled water when I arrived. The location of the apartment is great because it's in a residential area but still walking distance to all the sights. Graciela even took the time to recommend an amazing local spot for steak. The apartment was more then I expected, just the right place to give you a feel of Florence, located in the old part of the town a walking distance from all touristic attractions. Luigi and his wife were great and very professional hosts, the communication either via emails or sms vas constant and very helpful. The apartment is more then comfortable for two or three people. This is a lovely apartment in a very nice old neighborhood. It had everything we needed to cook, clean, and sleep well. The owners were very accommodating and helpful, and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. While the apartment is within easy walking distance to the tourist attractions, the neighborhood it's in is not touristy, so you get a great sense of what local Florence is like. Luigi is a great host, and the apartment is in a very nice location. It's not quite in the center but everything is well within walking distance. Luigi helped me sort out my luggage issues and was very accomodating and responsive to emails from the start. The apartment is perfect for two people and still very good for three people. I would stay here again :)
