The stay with Pablo and his brother was amazing! On the one hand, the appartment is great and in a convenient location in a guarded lot, and on the other hand both were absolutely great hosts. They showed me around San Juan and their friends! I also got to meet the family - all of them super-nice, friendly, welcoming and chatty! I can only recommend Pablo and I will try ti come bavk!
January 2012Pablo is very personable and was willing to pick us up down the road at the mall a few minutes away. His apartment is very nice, with high ceilings and lots of room. The big problem we had was with the inflatable mattress deflating the first night. He let us sleep on his comfortable bed the following night.
We stayed at Pablos in January 2012, everything was as stated if not better. Very friendly and helpful host with a simple and central location. He was even thoughtful enough to include a GPS with his address as the "home" location. Upscale apartment with gated entrance made us feel safe and secure. Would recommend to anyone.
We had a great time staying at Pablo's place over the holidays. He even invited us to a couple of parties at his friend's place where we got to learn a lot about the Puerto Rican culture. He gave us great recommendations for places to visit during our stay. When we had an issue with the air-bed, he promptly arranged another one. I would definitely recommend Pablo's place to anyone heading to San Juan.
A wonderful experience overall! Both Pablo and Francisco are awesome hosts that do their best to make sure you have a pleasurable experience. My only regret is that I wasn't able to spend as much time with them and attend one of their infamous parties! Their apartment is calm and fabulous! In a wonderful part of town. Thanks again for a wonderful time! Can't wait to go back :)
Pablo and Fran are the best hosts ever. They always invited me out, although I was not able to do much due to work. They were great conversationalists and helped whenever I had a question. They are amicable and the best gentlemen. If you want the best of Puerto Rico stay with these men, they are great. I miss them so much and hope I can visit again WITHOUT a work agenda.
This apartment was very clean, with opportunities for leisure as well as privacy. The Tirado brothers are lovely people. Being a native, I know my way around the area and was, therefore, completely independent. The building has a high level of security that made me feel very comfortable. This was a great place for the price.
We stayed in Puerto Rico for 3 days and Pablo's apartment is just like our home. It's a nice apartment, we got everything we need and Pablo is always ready to help, even though this is a very busy week for him. I wish we had more time to hang out together. We'll definitely go back. Thanks Pablo.
Pablo and Francisco are amazing! My roommate and I had an awesome time in Puerto Rico thanks to their generosity, recommendations, and advice. They fed us, took us out, drove us to El Yunque, and were great company when we were in the apartment. Besides providing us with a GPS to use with our rental car, I could call Pablo up anytime, give a vague description about where I was and where I needed to go, and he could direct us there, no problem. The very first night Pablo took us out to his... More »
Pablo and his brother were marvelous hosts...I needed a GPS system the day we arrived and they loaned me theirs before we even came to stay with them, which was really a blessing. Their apartment was clean, neat and the kitchen was a cook's dream. The bathroom we used was very spacious and the shower was incredible... we really liked it !! The first night we stayed, they cooked us tacos for dinner. Pablo took us on a grand tour of Old San Juan, by night. We enjoyed drinks at a couple... More »
For my first time staying with anyone I didn't previously know. I would have to say it was a great experience. The place was very clean and quiet I often felt like I had the place to myself. I also enjoyed hanging out with him and his friends. Great Experience
Great guys, really nice apartment! You will need to rent a car though. Internet is available and the guys are up to joining you on activities. Make sure to check the bedding has been changed as they have frequent guests and in my case I had to change the sheets from the last guest. Aside from that - a great choice.
This review is difficult to express, as these two young men are truly THE ambassadors of Puerto Rico. And despite my verbosity, I find it especially hard to define my first experience in their country. Being as it may, I will start by saying that there are so many beautiful and kind people (not always an easy combination to come by), and everyone that we (my 21-year old brother who’d never left MD/VA area and I) encountered gladly assisted us with everything we needed (except a rental car,... We had a wonderful time at Pablo's place. He took us around Old San Juan and made us feel very welcome. The apartment is beautiful, and the accommodations are spacious and comfortable. He and his brother are wonderful people and hosts and we would recommend them to anyone wanting to stay around San Juan!
Pablo, and his entire family, were wonderful. They could not have been more welcoming, helpful and friendly, embracing me after a scary encounter on my way to El Yunque on Friday. On Sunday, Pablo, his parents and siblings treated me to one of the best days I've ever had. We all went to El Yunque. I drank coconut water for the very first time, soaked under the cool, refreshing waterfall after a hike up to it, and had a sumptuous meal of octopus with crunchy plantain. After which, we all... Amazing doesn't start to describe Pablo and Fransisco's apartment. I've stayed in a lot of different hostels/apts in Puerto Rico in the 6 times I've been there, but this place takes the cake. Growing up in California, I've been to Las Vegas countless times and stayed in a lot of the popular hotels (Monte Carlo, Ceasers, MGM, Venetian, Wynn, etc.), and I would say that the accomodations at the apt are comparable to what you would find in the suites of those hotels. Also, the security at... More »
Wouldn't stay in any other place in San Juan! Great Hosts! Great Apt! Great Place!
Meeting Pablo and Fran were one of the best things that happened to me in Puerto Rico. Those two were very helpful in all that i needed especially since i didnt know anything about the island. They made me feel right at home and i know that i have made friends for life. Their home and the neighborhood is very comfortable and i felt safe at all times with them. I know that when i go back to Puerto Rico i will definitely stay with them again. They were and are wonderful, fun people and i am... More »
Pablo and his brother were great hosts! They took my boyfriend and I out to a nice restaurant and we tried to see a punk show for Basura but they came on late. They gave us good tips on where to eat, where to go, and what to do. They were also insightful on local Puerto Rican issues and we learned a lot while with them.
Pablo and his super cool, not so little bro were fun guests to host. We'd look fwd to having them at our home in the future!

Sha is a Friend August 2011I know that Puerto Rico has a governor, but it needs to have a mayor as well. And Pablo would be that mayor. He is an amazing guide to San Juan; I've not yet gone to a place with him where he didn't know at least 3 people. Aside from that, his apartment is pretty badass (I'm jealous, I admit it), and both him and his brother are genuinely cool people.
