My family and I own a home that was once a duplex. There are 2 apartments--One atop the other. We live upstairs. Guests that stay with us benefit from local knowledge, general location and are pampered with amenities at an economical price.

Our guests range from Devon Industry executives, to freelance actors/writers, Chesapeake rowers and chefs attending the Matthew Kenney Raw Foods School.

We in no way seek to compete with local hotels & motels but instead offer economical, forward thinking lodging for artists, students and families in a creativity driven, clean, comfortable private home.

Excellent accomodation!! Nice clean rooms and Cyn and Pete's (the Hosts) hospitality is unbeatable! Fresh towels, sheets, and a great kitchen available for guests. The house is located in a nice neighbourhood with several arts and crafts shops in the vicinity. There are bus stops within one block of the house, so well connected to the Oklahoma City downtown. Cannot recommend Art House enough!

I had a wonderful stay in this place. Cyn and Peter are amazing landlords, always up for a chat and very helpful with everything you might need help with. I really enjoyed my time and can recommend this to every future student at the Matthew Kenney Academy.

Cyn is a fun hostess with a great place to stay. It was very homey and a great value. The neighborhood is quaint and friendly, and I enjoyed my morning strolls.

I greatly enjoyed staying for five nights in The Private Room at the Art House while visiting Oklahoma City. The accommodations where neat and clean, and quiet, and the bed was especially comfortable. Pete and Cyn Burton were very attentive, and I wish I was able to spend more time to get better acquainted with my hosts.

This was a fantastic find for my 4 day stay in OKC. I had the private room and had the whole area to myself. There's a big bed in a clean and well kept room, a large living area with cable and internet access, a big dining room, a full kitchen and a full bathroom. I came into town for a rowing competition and most of the team stayed at a hotel nearer the venue - where four people would share one room with two double beds and one bath, each paying more than I did for all that space. :)... Cyn and Pete were great hosts! Very friendly and helpful, they made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was great, everything was perfect for our stay. It was clean and everything was in functioning order.I would definitely go back.

There are certainly times in life when you are needing comfort as well as a solid roof over your head. Cyn and Pete were adaptable, accommodating and everything I want to be in a host when I grow up. I stayed in the private room and was given plenty of privacy when I needed it and pleasant conversation when I wanted that too. What more can you ask? They even made a couple small (but relevant) improvements during my time there and showed consistently that they want you to enjoy your stay... More »

Great place great people, if you are looking for a place to stay for one night or a couple weeks like i did, this is it. Cyn was so nice and totally took care of me. Communication was excellent as far as giving exact details of the place and every other important bit of info! Best area in the city as well with great places to eat.

There was nothing my crew needed that Cyn and Pete did not provide. They anticipated our every need and were more than accommodating. They were friendly, informative and professional.
