“I lived in Stephanie's apartment from May - October 2011. I cannot recommend Stephanie and her partner Christiano more highly as great hosts and now as friends. Stephanie's place is in a great location especially for someone visting Salvador for the first time. The apartment is just a few minutes walk from the Pelorihno, Salvador's world famous cultural district. The Santo Antonio neighborhood itself is rich with history and a beautiful classic architecture. There are plenty of grocery stores and some great restaurants nearby as well as some great places to see live music. Stephanie is very organized and she has great knowledge of Salvador from the perspective of both a traveler and a longtime resident. If you are coming to Salvador to train capoeira (as I did), to dance, or just to enjoy carnival, Stephanie's place is wonderful choice as a home base. By the way she has a heated shower and internet.”
